Evolution in Another World 2 What Happened That Day Part 1

What just happened? I was eating in the cafeteria of Pierson Community College in Woodland Hills when this bright light suddenly flooded the whole place. I look at the floor. White stone with some sort of glowing drawings with the glow that is fading. White Roman style columns hold up the ceiling of this circular room. Oldish dudes sweating and haggard with white beards, brown robes that seem cerimonial based on the intricate matching designs on all the robes, and staffs with a round crystal on it. Two other guys and a girl I don't recognize that are wearing modern clothes. Oh please let this be a dream...please don't be what I think this is…

"We have given you a moment to reorient yourselves. We welcome you, oh heroes of another world!"

"So let me guess, you need help defeating one or more demon lord or king types right?" They all nod. "Shit". This is exactly what I think it is.

"Okay what just happened?"

"We are in another world. Probably by using summoning magic, we have been summoned to this world to deal with a problem that could end all of humanity on this world. My name is Alex by the way."

"I'm Chris, he's John and she is Samantha and you're clearly crazy."

"Explain the teleportation then. We are clearly in a different place than before. And don't give the kidnapped for ransom excuse. I still have my phone, so I'm betting you still have it as well."

"I have my phone as well Chris, what about you Samantha."

"Same. Maybe this there was a terrorist attack with a hallucinogenic?"

"Really, we just happen to be sharing the same hallucination. Face it, we got summoned by magic."

"How…"

"Well Chris, if the logical explanations fail, look at the illogical ones."

"How did you think magic summoning though."

"I read and watch a lot of Isekais. It's a Japanese genre of other world traveling."

"That is FICTION!!"

"Then find a non-fiction explanation for this. Can one of you please use a low level magic please? Like a small light?"

"Of course oh wise one. Light my path. Light Ball." A ball of light appears a few feet in front of the old dude in front of Chris.

"Perfect. Put your hand around the ball of light. Watch how your hand is constantly lit." He does so. "Give me a scientific explanation for this. Oh wait, you can't. So people that have summoned us, you summoned us because your forces lack the capacity to take care of your problems. So to summon us means we must have more power than most if not all humans on this planet. Correct?"
