Lady Jin was in a daze after hearing this. She bowed a little and saw Yun Shang's hands. She said with a smile, "Well, you truly learnt a lot from your father."

Yun Shang frowned. She felt a little confused. She sat back on her chair and stared at Lady Jin. Lady Jin felt uncomfortable under her scrutiny, and said, "Why are you looking at me like that? Thiis child is an accident. I'm not sure whether I should let this child be born."

Yun Shang bit her lip and said gently, "Actually, I was came to speak with you about another matter, mother."

Lady Jin kept silent for a while and said, "I once thought that there was still a feeling of love, or hate at least, for the Emperor. But, recently, I have realized that he wasn't the one I loved. I felt no excitement when I saw him. I guess I neither love or hate him anymore."

"Mother, but you are pregnant with his child." Yun Shang pondered for a while, and said, "I did something which I believe to be wrong now."

"Well, what is it?" Lady Jin smiled at Yun Shang.

Yun Shang looked at Lady Jin with knitted eyebrows, "My father hasn't been to Qiwu Palace in several months. The Empress was so worried that she wanted to use a maid. What's more, she gave my father Acacia to support her plan. So I sent someone to inform my father. I also sent a maid dressed like you to seduce my father…"

"I truly hoped you would have a happy and innocent childhood." Lady Jin paused for a while before continuing, "But at last, you have become involved in the strife of the Imperial Household."

"My mother, did I make a mistake?" Yun Shang felt a little guilty. She lowered her eyes to look at her mother's belly. The baby must have been very small for she couldn't see any sign of the pregnancy.

Lady Jin shook her head and said, "There has always been all kinds of women around him. I used to be so annoyed then I was here in the Cold Palace. And for him, I won't be a timid person."

"Good girl. I would not be a coward anymore." Lady Jin smiled as she held Yun Shang's hands.

Yun Shang smiled as she spoke, "Does my father know that you got pregnant? How old is the baby? Can it move?"

Lady Jin couldn't help laughing, "You silly girl. It's only been a month. How can the baby move so quickly? And I don't want to tell the Emperor so soon. You know, the sooner I tell him, the more dangerous we will be. For now, we are safe here in the Cold Palace."

Yun Shang agreed. "I sent many special agents to the Palace. Of them, two are sharp. I will send them here to protect you. People in the Palace regard me as a weak Princess. I will bring some medicine to prevent a miscarriage. Mother, you are carrying a baby now. Take better care of your body, and don't wear yourself out."

Lady Jin agreed. She nodded as she spoke, "My little Shang has become an adult now. You deal with these things so properly and logically."

"Mother, stop making fun of me." Yun Shang stood up, and smiled, "It's too late. You need go to bed. I will visit more often."

Lady Jin nodded her head and asked Madam Zheng to see Yun Shang to the door.

Having left the Cold Palace, Yun Shang went straight to the Imperial Garden. According to her plan, Qin Meng would meet Emperor Ning there and seduce him. Now, she had changed her mind. She didn't want to break her mother's heart, even though Lady Jin didn't seem to care, Yun Shang didn't want to take that risk.

As she entered the Imperial Garden, Yun Shang realized it might be too late to stop the maid. Qin Meng was kneeling before Emperor Ning, trembling like a fragile girl.

"Shu Jin. Are you Shu Jin?" Emperor Ning was in a daze caused by the acacia incense. He saw a woman who looked just like the woman he had been thinking about all day.

Qin Meng shook her head and said, "Your Majesty, I am not Shu Jin."

Emperor Ning squinted as he tried to focus. "Yes, you are. You are my Shu Jin. She liked dressing like this. Don't you enjoy calling me dear Qi Lang? Now call me by that name like you used to. Don't call me Emperor. I am your Qi Lang. Call me that now."

Qin Meng raised her head and looked at the Emperor for quite a long before she quivered as she spoke, "Dear Qi Lang."

Emperor Ning burst into laughter and said, "You see? You are my Shu Jin. Shu Jin, I missed you so much…" then he squatted and held Qin Meng. He pulled her up to her feet.

Yun Shang followed them closely. Her hands were clenched into fists. Seeing Emperor Ning holding Qin Meng and entering into a Palace where no one lived made her heart ache. Yun Shang hurried to follow.

Emperor Ning lay Qin Meng on the ground and said gently with a smile, "Shu Jin, I remember you said you loved the stars and the moon, but tonight there aren't any. Shu Jin, I finally found you again. I feel so happy."

Qin Meng bit her lips and said softly, "I… I …" "I feel happy, too"

Emperor Ning laughed again and stared at Qin Meng for a while. Fearful of being exposed, Qin Meng quickly lowered her head. Emperor Ning held up her chin and smiled. "You are shy." He said before kissing her.

The scene brought a frown on Yun Shang's face. As the Emperor began removing Qin Meng's clothes, Yun Shang took out a black pill and threw it into the room. Slowly, smoke began rising from the pill. The Emperor and the maid lost consciousness after breathing the smoke.

Yun Shang then stepped out of the shadows and began undressing Qin Meng. She stopped when the maid was almost completely undressed. She stood up and looked at the two people lying on the floor. "I don't want to ruin my plan, but I don't want to hurt my mother either. When you wake, you will believe something happened between you two, " Yun Shang mumbled to herself.

Yun Shang stood in her spot for a while. When she was about to leave, she heard a familiar voice taunting her. "You employed schemed on your father, Princess Hui Guo. You are really something…"

Yun Shang was shocked to hear this. She looked up and saw a man standing on the roof. There was no doubt that he had witnessed everything.

Yun Shang was annoyed. "Uncle, you broke into the Imperial Household at night. Did you have a love affair with one of the concubines there?"
