As the laughter faded, the grey in Huo Yuhao’s sea of consciousness receded like a wave. In a moment, everything returned to normal. The grey pearl returned to its former spot.

“Holding the sun and moon, picking at the stars; there is no one in the world like me.” Huo Yuhao mumbled this tyrannical, yet sad and dreary sentence. He was somewhat stunned.

Daydream cursed in frustration, “Bastard. Bastard. This old guy actually ignored me. He even insulted me. I will kill him. I will kill him.”

Huo Yuhao was called awake by his voice and said helplessly, “Brother Daydream, please calm down. The old gentleman didn’t seem to harbor any ill wills.”

Daydream said angrily, “What no ill wills? Didn’t you hear him wanting to squish me? No. Yuhao. You have to quickly improve. He is staying in your sea of consciousness. The only way to expel him is using your mental power. But, his consciousness is of a much higher quality. Since he needs you to survive, he cannot harm you. So just wait until your consciousness reaches the same level and be able to expel him.”

Huo Yuhao said somewhat helplessly, “Brother Daydream. You just said that his consciousness is much higher. Then based on your estimates, how long would I have to cultivate to reach his level?”

“This…, let me calculate.” Daydream became silent.

Huo Yuhao was very curious at the moment. There was already an intelligent spirit ring that made him different than others. He couldn’t have imagined that he also absorbed such a soul while fusing with Daydream. This was his sea of consciousness. Even though his abilities were far lacking compared to Daydream and the elder, he could feel everything happening within. The elder’s wise words showed how honest and thoughtful he was. He really didn’t have any intent of harming Huo Yuhao. Also, that piece of soul was very weak. It was even weaker than his mental powers.

But, was he really so weak? Huo Yuhao couldn’t help but recall what had just happened. In the brief moments the grey soul took control of his spirit power and launched the final attack against Wu Feng, it was the same Soul Assault. Yet, under his control, the normally dispersed mental power actually aggregated into a string as thin as hair to penetrate all of Wu Feng’s defences. In the end, he won without actually harming Wu Feng. This level of control is not something he could compare to.

If he could achieve such control over abilities, then when his mental spirit abilities reaches the level during fusion with Wang Dong, then how outstanding would it be!

This was true control. But, how can he train himself? How could it be achieved?

“Aii…” Daydream sighed. “With your current progress, I estimated it. For you to reach his level, even if I use all my powers to help you, it would still require around three thousand years.”

“What?” Even though Huo Yuhao had highly estimated the elder, when he told Daydream that he couldn’t match the elder, he only intended to pacify him. He didn’t think that Daydream would give him such an answer. Daydream didn’t get along with the elder, so he wouldn’t have lied!

Daydream said helplessly, “Otherwise, why do you think I can’t do anything to him even though he only exists as a tiny piece of soul? I don’t know where this old guy came from, but his consciousness is much higher than mine. Even though his powers are weak, his mind has reached a level impossible for me to comprehend. It seemed to have exceeded all humans and every living creature on the continent. Shit. Looks like we really can’t do anything about him! We just don’t know if he would possess any direct fighting powers after recovering his mind. Hopefully not. His soul has already become so weak. Even if he recovers, it would still be only a piece. Not his whole.”

Huo Yuhao murmured, “Then, then if this elder’s soul didn’t fragment, how powerful would he have been?”

Daydream said with frustration. “It is at a level you cannot even imagine right now.”

Huo Yuhao responded, “Brother Daydream. Since this elder doesn’t have any ill intent, and we cannot do anything about him, then let’s all get along in the future.”

“Hmph!” Daydream snorted. Obviously not satisfied.

“You saw wrong. Innate body battle spirits do not have second awakenings.” Elder Xuan retrieved his greasy hands from Huo Yuhao’s chest.

Wu Feng was sent to the clinic and determined to be fine. Wang Yan announced an early dismissal and immediately found Elder Xuan in the inner school to tell him about Huo Yuhao’s possible second awakening.

Elder Xuan said inpatiently, “You don’t need to test more.  Xiao Wang, I know you have been researching innate body battle spirits. But you can’t force it. What happens after the innate body battle spirit goes through a second awakening? He hasn’t even solidified his foundation. His spirit power is only level seventeen and didn’t change. If it really was the second awakening, then his spirit power should, at least, breakthrough the level twenty bottleneck. This child is talented, but he is somewhat old. There is little possibility of him reaching level thirty before the age of twelve. There is still some distance between him and the most outstanding. Don’t waste my time in the future for him.” Right after, he took a drink from his gourd and left.

Wang Yan’s face was full of disappointment. He mentioned for Wang Dong to take good care of Huo Yuhao before leaving too.

By the time Huo Yuhao woke up, it was already late into the night. The pain in his body had mostly disappeared. When Wang Yan brought Elder Xuan, he also brought some medicine. Even though Huo Yuhao’s injuries weren’t light, he didn’t receive any damage to his bones or organs. With some of the best medicine in Shrek Academy, he was not in any danger.

Such a soft and warm feeling. Huo Yuhao shockingly discovered that he was actually lying on Wang Dong’s bed while Wang Dong was sitting on the floor, with his head resting on the side of the bed, sweetly asleep.

This wasn’t Huo Yuhao’s first time on Wang Dong’s bed, but was the first time he was lying on it.

He deeply felt the Wang Dong’s care. Wang Dong was usually crazy about keeping everything clean. Usually, even sitting on his bed was a taboo. Yet, today, he actually let Huo Yuhao sleep on his bed. Even more, his body was covered in dirt after the spirit battle.

He quietly rose from the bed and lifted Wang Dong onto the bed. Then he turned to see his own hard wood bed, without even a mattress. He lightly put Wang Dong on the fur-lined sheet and pushed him in a bit. Then, Huo Yuhao laid next to him.

Two people sleeping on this single bed was somewhat tight, but they were still children and not as fat as Xie Huanyue. It was still possible to sleep next to each other.

Huo Yuhao pulled up the covers on top of himself and Wang Dong. With a heart full of warmness, he fell asleep again. It had been a long time since he slept with such relaxation instead of cultivation. All of his fluctuating emotions from the day dissipated.

Dawn. The sky outside was slowly changing from a dark blue to a bright blue.

Wang Dong slowly woke from his dreams. His eyes were closed as his mind cleared. So comfortable! His sleep felt great.

Usually, Huo Yuhao practiced early every morning. It had been a long time since he was able to sleep so comfortable. It was so warm. Sleeping while hugging a big pillow. This pillow was warm too. Pretty good. Pretty good.

Wang Dong was full of satisfaction as he was about to fall back asleep again. Suddenly, his mind remembered something.

Something is not right! Huo Yuhao had been injured yesterday. I was supposed to take care of him! How can I be sleeping so comfortably?

The moment he remembered the injured Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong immediately woke from his dreams and opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was the side of a face. Because of the sweet sleep, he could see the healthy face with a slight blush as the sun shined on top of them.

Wang Dong was stunned. Deeply stunned. He discovered that his face was resting on the arm of the owner of that face. His own arm was on the other’s chest, hugging it tightly. His own leg was also on the other’s leg. It was even circled around.

This, this is a human shaped pillow?

Blankness, three, two, one…

“Ahh~~” A sharp scream suddenly rang through the entire freshman dormitory building.

This sharp voice was so high that it woke almost every cultivating freshman student, even through their relatively good sound-proof walls.

“Ouch. That hurts.”

There was no defence while dreaming. Huo Yuhao had been sweetly asleep. He only felt a warm, soft pillow next to himself. It even carried a fresh scent. With the soft but firm fur cover, he was at peace. Usually, by this time, he was already up to train his Purple Demon Eyes. But today, his sleep was extra sweet.
