Aristo spend several hours talking about the auction before taking his leave.

In the next day, during afternoon, a report came from Drei.

“The king has dispatched a group of knight to the village.”

They sure are fast.

Either they don’t want me to increase the payment or just to prove they are aware of the current situation.

Oh well, it doesn’t matter anyway.

It would be over in the next day.

“Should I tell the villagers about it?”

“You don’t have to. They will hear it from the nobles tomorrow.”

“As you will.”

“If there’s something happened report to me at once. That’s all, you may go now.”

Drei bowed and disappeared.

Even so, they sure can make a pretty good garden.

That guy might even have a talent for such thing after all.

“Dungeon master, can I talk to you a bit?”

The village’s chief, the son of previous chief, came inside the study.

Wait, weren’t you supposed to be a gardener?

My answer doesn’t seem to be convincing him enough but he left the room anyway.

In the evening, I received good news.

“The bandits have been eradicated by the knights.”

“Is that so? Then, you don’t have to observe the outside situation any longer. You can go back to your usual duty.”

“Affirmative!”

After confirming Drei has disappeared, I called for Eins.

“Eins.”

“By your side.”

Since it’s evening, it’s quite frightening when they appear and disappear like that.

“For tomorrow breakfast, please prepare something delicious for our guest.”

“As you wish.”

She then bowed before disappeared once more.

They definitely creeping me out.

Next day, Aristo arrived early in the morning. While showing his goods, he told me what happened yesterday.

With how Aristo seemed to have a strong connection with nobility, he consults the king directly through it.

“If the noblemen knew the village was being robbed by the bandits during their trip to the auction, they might not trust us anymore!” said Aristo to the king.

Immediately, after the king heard it, he orders his knight to investigate the village. The investigation result came up and there were really bandits residing in the village. The investigation of the village soon turns into bandits’ subjugation.

Even though they were remnant of bandits around this area but thanks to the adventurers, all of them will be annihilated by noon, right before the start of the auction.  The adventurers seem to be killing them for extra money.

This is indeed a troublesome case.

“That’s right. Aristo, today we’ll be eating something delicious. Eins.”

“Here.”

When called, Eins stood beside with a dish.

“What is this red thing?”

“This food is called watermelon. It has a lot of seed but I like to eat it.”

What I served Aristo is a watermelon cut into bite size pieces. But he seems to be afraid of eating it.

“Hmm?! What!!”

The moment he bites the watermelon, he gave a surprised face bef

To be precise, the watermelon is actually a vegetable. Well, it doesn’t matter anyway.

Anyway, is it summer already?

I can’t tell since there’s no season in the dungeon.

And only one dish came out today.

When I opened the lid, it was soba noodle.

To be exact, it was cold soba noodle.

“It’s a cold soba noddle. It’s a food which you must first dip into tsuyu sauce before eating it.”

“Ho…”

Even if there’s no summer here, I don’t think you can eat soba noodle without it.

After the meal, soon after the watermelon is put on the table, a fight broke out. Unwillingly, not to cause more chaos I gave up on eating the watermelon.
