"Woman, watch out for that guy in white."

Lie's voice, with a hint of imperceptible trembling, suddenly sounded before it finally disappeared.

Bai Ye knitted her brows into a frown. This young maid unexpectedly exuded the aura of the peak stage of a Martial Senior, while the man in white did not have any trace of cultivation.

For him to be able to freely hide his own cultivation, either his internal force was as high as hers, or his strength was extremely formidable!

"Men cannot be judged by their looks!" After saying this pointedly, Bai Ye turned around and left, intending to stay away from the two strange, strong individuals.

The veiled maid came forward to stop her and said apologetically, "Apologies, young lady! My master and I have no intention of insulting you. May the young lady not misunderstand!"

Seeing that the maid had no malice in her eyes, Bai Ye waved her hand and said, "It's all right, goodbye!"

The man's delicate thin lips smiled deeper as he tacitly understood her meaning.

'Men cannot be judged by their looks', it meant that even though he looked like a decent person, he turned out to be just a hedonistic nobleson.

"I am never stingy in praising beautiful things, nor do I mean to be unscrupulous and disrespectful. There is no need to get angry." He explained gently.

Bai Ye's footsteps halted; she raised an eyebrow and said, straight to the point, "Very well, I won't get angry then! Do you know Xiao Luobing?"

"No."

His answer came as no surprise. Such an outstanding person, if she had seen him before, it was impossible for her to forget.

"Then, may I ask who erected the tombstone outside this hut?"

The man reached for the guqin at the edge of the couch, then his slender fingers fiddled with the strings for a moment. A tuneless music flowed from his fingertips, yet it wasn't piercing to the ears.

"That would be me."

She wondered, "If you don't know her, why bother erecting a tombstone for her?"

"I simply like to erect a tombstone for those who died unjustly; I don't have any other reason." With that, the man in white gave a slight cough.

He actually knew that Xiao Luobing died unjustly; just how much else did he know?

After a moment of silence, Bai Ye nodded and said, "Since the young master doesn't want to talk, I won't disturb you any further."

At this moment, the man suddenly stopped fiddling with the strings, picked up the wine gourd and took a sip.

"Someone wants to avenge the Xiao Family. It seems that her relationship with the Xiao Family is very special. Can it be a fish that slipped through the net?"

She turned around abruptly and stared into the man's smiling eyes. He was calm; a drop of wine trickled along his smooth chin and disappeared into the lapel of his clothes.

The man, who was as lazy as a fox, appeared more and more mysterious. Was he strong enough to hear what she said in front of her parents' grave?

Bai Ye suddenly smiled and her good-looking eyes bent into the shape of a crescent moon. She went to the door and said her final words.

"You have quite a serious injury and could die suddenly at any time. If you want to turn me in, you'd better do it as soon as possible!" Then she walked out of the door.

The man stood barefoot in front of the window with a gourd in his hand, looking at the beautiful figure that gradually disappeared.

The cold wind poured in from the window, diluting the warm atmosphere of the room; his long hair and dishevelled clothes fluttered so much that he really looked like an immortal riding the wind.

"Master." Suddenly, a man in purple appeared behind him and called quietly.

"Nan Xiang, she's very interesting."

He half-turned his body and looked away. It was unknown if it were the effect of wine or the cold wind, but the corner of his eyes was slightly flushed, which added a layer of beauty to his originally bewildering eyebrows.

Nan Xiang frowned slightly and asked, "Master is not going to get rid of her?"

"Of course." The man arranged his wind-tangled hair and closed the window, his other hand behind his back. He paced back to the fox fur couch and lay down lazily. When the burning charcoal warmed the room with the fragrance of Bhudda's hand again, he slowly said, "I don't have much time in this world. I don't want to fight and kill very much."

As the sun began to set, the man's white clothes were dyed red. At first glance, he looked like a blood-soaked god of war, which startled Nan Xiang and the veiled maid.
