Chapter 1: The Power of the Demon King
Part 1
"Again, the same dream."
The seventh year old boy realised he was dreaming.
His name was Dante.
It was the same dream as last time.
He was in the body of a child.
If he had to say he was probably in the body of a eight year old because of his short stature.
But that information was irrelevant.
There was a tragedy happening before him.
The metalic smell of blood, w crowd running away in panic, cries echoing in the background. Amidst that, a black silhouette was approaching.
Deep Blood. Red crimson eyes looked down at him.
"______"
He did not understand what was happening or the cause but he somehow understood that he didn't do something,
He would die.
Fight?
No, fighting wasn't an option. This thing was obviously not human. He would be ripped to shreds before he even threw a fist.
Run?
That wasn't an option either. There was a girl behind him. Her appearance was blurry but the only thing that stood out about her was her short platinum hair.
He couldn't understand why she was there.
Maybe she wasn't able to run away because of fright. It seemed he had gotten infront of her to shield her from the demon.
Should he carry her and run away?
If he did so, he doubted he would be able to escape from the demon. One of them was going to die.
Was he okay with that?
Even though he didn't know the identity of the girl behind him, he would feel bad if he left her to die.
He had to do something — He thought.
His mind slowly reached its limit on this tragedy happening before his eyes.
And in the next moment--- His vision was turned red.
His consciousness slowly faded away. He didn't know if he was saved or not. Neither did he know the fate of the girl behind him.
Just then — He heard a voice. It wasn't able to identify if it belonged to a man or woman.
He wasn't able to hear the words of the voice too.
But somehow ---- he knew it had something to do with the tragedy.
The world was slowly filled with darkness.
His world.
