Alice-chan's first kiss

Now then. The last boss is on the floor below.
"Let's defeat it!!"
With Miriam's few words, we ignored Lier and descended with a dash.
That floor is an underground lake, by swimming for a bit and walking through a shallow, the last boss lies in wait.

I'm weak at swimming so I struggled, I reached the last boss's place pulled by Armand and Henry.
That was awful…

Immediately the three-headed dragon greeted us.
"My name is Machiavelli. Are you the people of Fraise Kingdom? Have you come with the intent to offer me a real tribute?"

These are the options.

1, Offering!! Restore the cursed Fraise Kingdom!!
2, (Towards the character with highest favorability) I'm scared!! Help me!!
3, Please forgive us. Minerals can no longer be obtained from the mines of the Fraise Kingdom.
4, As a compensation, I offer you these three servants (Henry, Armand, Alice)

With 4 three people are killed, game over.
The boss fight starts with the remaining three choices.
I chose 1, but Machan said 3 makes the boss fight easier.

"Offering!! Restore the cursed Fraise Kingdom!!"
Aah, she said the same thing I chose.
"I demand you honor me!! Long ago, did I not save the land tormented by devils!?"

He got angry…
Suddenly, his Magma Breath attacked our party.
This is Emotion Break, it's a special technique only certain characters can use, it's staggeringly powerful.

"Gyaaaa!!"
I hid behind Armand right away, so I wasn't hit with it, but it's extremely hot…
Miriam, who advanced with emotions rather than reason, received direct hit and screamed.
Armand and Henry defended with shields to reduce the damage as much as possible.
Our formation collapsed.
The first turn ended like this, that was the wrong choice for sure…

"Alice, let me borrow it"
Urged by Armand, I handed him the bow and arrows.
It seem he decided close combat was impossible.

Henry attacked with his whip from a distance.
Striking his neck, he prevented that head from attacking in this turn.
Armand's arrow pierced the second neck.
That head was afflicted with poison, it lost power and fell down.
Miriam is trying to fight with the third neck with her mace.
It's not much different from my rod.
Whereas witches use rods, clergy's equipment is mace.
With the power of arts, it's more or less useful for striking, but it doesn't compare to swords, bows, whips, or spears.

"Miriam!! Run away!!"
Even when I shouted, it didn't reach her.
Because my level is low, I can't use Emotion Break, I haven't learned powerful arts either.
If it avoids I could use attack magic, but it seems brimming with the will to attack.
I sent Light Purge from my rod, but the dragon not paying attention to it used meteor attack magic.
I was trying to use Crimson Dynamite, but I changed it to Black Hole.

The Black Hole swallowed the meteor little by little.
But, because Miriam is far away…

The meteor crashed with a bang, and the staggering Miriam collapsed.
End of turn two.

After receiving the entire Magma Breath in the next turn, the battle will be over, but no matter how I look at it… Miriam will die if she receives it.

"Armand!! Miriam is!!"
"It's so tough…!! Withdraw!!"

But, there's no sign of Armand going to help Miriam.
"What's wrong…?"
"My legs… My legs won't move…"
Looking at Armand, color drained from his face and his legs are shaking.

Won't Miriam be killed!!

Judging it's useless to expect anything from Armand, I ran towards Miriam.
"Miriam!! Run away!!"
"Ah, Alice-chan…"
I'm dragging limp Miriam running away from the dragon.
From behind Magma Breath attacked. I quickly held Miriam.
Hot impact…
And like that I lost consciousness.

Fuu, fuu…
I hear some blowing sounds.
Gutsu, gutsu, gutsu, gutsu.
My chest is being strong pressed.
It hurts.
Fuu, fuu.
Something was blown inside my mouth.

Suddenly I opened my eyes.
I could see Miriam's face and her platinum brown hair from up close.
Tears are flowing from her emerald eyes.
She was surprised, but with happiness showing on her face, her face moved away.
"Cough, cough…"
With all my strength I coughed out water.
"I'm glad!! A, Alice-chan, sorry…. I was rash"
Taken aback, I looked at the surroundings only to realize we're at the floor above the dragon's.
We got away… Probably Armand and Henry carried us.
The faces of Miriam, Armand, and Henry are overlooking me.
"Alice!! Have you come to? Can you speak!?"
"Y, yup"
"Alice-chan!!"
Her warm body embraced me.
She's trembling like a rabbit.

Then, I noticed the situation.
Miriam… performed artificial respiration…!?
Heart massage also.
Moreover, other two are fixedly staring at me…
Gyaaaa!!
Flop.
"A, Alice-chan!! Get yourself together, Alice-chan!!"
"Alicee!!! What's wrong? No way, no way, was it too late!? It can't be!!"
"No, it's strange. Her face is bright red…!? Isn't something wrong!? What happened, Alice!? Miriam, don't you have any medicine!? Won't healing magic be effective!?"
It seems I was blown off into the lake by the dragon's breath and nearly drowned.
