Chapter 1
The sun was setting over the small town of Willow Creek, casting a warm orange glow over the trees and the houses. Lilith Ravette was sitting in her garden, enjoying the peace and quiet of the evening. She loved being alone, surrounded by the silence of nature. She had never wanted to get married, after all, she was a lone vampire!
Suddenly, the sound of her mother's voice broke the silence. "Lilith, darling," Drusilla Ravette said, "I need you to come inside. We have to talk."
Lilith sighed and got up from her chair. She walked inside the house and found her parents sitting in the living room. Her father, Gabriel, looked worried, and her mother had a stern expression on her face.
"What's going on?" Lilith asked, trying to hide the concern in her voice.
"Lilith, our family home is collapsing too quickly," Drusilla said, her voice laced with worry. "We need to save ourselves."
Lilith's heart sank. She had always known that their family home was old and in need of repairs, but she never thought it was in danger of collapsing. She asked her mother, "What can we do to save ourselves?"
Drusilla hesitated for a moment before answering. "There's only one way, Lilith," she said. "We need to make an alliance with the Karayan family. They are the wealthiest vampires around, and they could help us."
Lilith's heart raced at the thought of being tied down to someone she barely knew. "You mean... marriage?" she asked, not daring to believe it.
"Yes, darling," Drusilla replied. "Marriage is the only way. We need to do this for our family's survival."
Lilith closed her eyes, trying to calm herself. She had always been independent, never relying on anyone but herself. The thought of being tied down to someone she barely knew was terrifying to her. But she also knew that her mother was right. They needed to do this for their family's survival.
She took a deep breath and said, "Okay, I'll do it. We'll figure this out together."
As Lilith left the room, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She walked outside and looked around her garden, taking in the beauty of the flowers and the trees. She knew that this might be the last time she would see her home like this. She closed her eyes and breathed in the scent of the roses, trying to imprint the smell in her memory.
The next few days were a blur of activity as Lilith and her family prepared for the alliance with the Karayan family. They packed their belongings and made the journey to the Karayan estate. The road was long and winding, and Lilith could hear the sound of the animals in the forest around her. The air was crisp, and the smell of pine trees filled her nostrils.
Finally, after what seemed like hours, Lilith arrived at the Karayan estate. The house was massive, with tall columns and a grand entrance. She could see the lights inside, and she knew that her future husband was waiting for her inside.
Lilith took a deep breath and walked towards the entrance. She pushed open the doors and walked inside, ready to face her new life.
