Ascenders: Rising From Zero 27 All Goose Chase?

Having analyzed the law of Annihilation to the barest minimum, we are enlightened upon the fact that it is Molecular disintegration at sub-atomic level.

In summation, the laws that might possibly counter this rather bizarre law of total annihilation are being heavily researched. Our Thesis is that if the law disintegrates things then the effective counter must be a law that aids molecular build up or in more understandable terms, a law that gives protection Agbara.

Moreso, this law must be very powerful, an aspectual law that not only protects but wards off all sort of potential attacks to the soul.

As to what laws these are, Your Lordship, we cannot say( No one but Bello knows the law hence we cannot not accurately test our postulations.) but a general guess to the Law of Love; Agbara Osun - Orisha of Love- and the Law of Guardianship; Agbara Laaroye- Orisha of builders, architects and protection-.

In this regard, we believe the law of Fate, Agbara Ifa is very promising as its divination principles help the user to see into the future well enough to obtain foresight to be one step ahead before the law of Annihilation is unleashed.

Our research is still going on(This report is merely to satiate your probing on our actions so far) so this assumptions are not ultimate. Until it is over and we test the counters, all these remain at mere assumption.

And unless that is done, need we say that Lord Bello has become one of the most powerful single entity in the lower worlds, probably on par with The Elder of the Irunmole Society.

Ronke, Aeneas and Denre's feet pattered lightly on the forest floors as they ran along, almost effortless. They had landed some meters away from the pool at the valley of the cliff and fired on without stopping. Aeneas joined, retracting his wings to bathe in the fervor of his team mates.

As they ran, a horned Hind Bear suddenly appeared, bellowing angrily at them as they charged onwards on the pathway, towards the bear.

Quickly, Ronke weaved her palms together. Afterwards, she jerked a hand forward, her skin radiating very faint ghostly white light.

In that instant, she jerked her extended hand upwards, all the while still running at top speed with her team.

"Ready?" Simultaneously, the bear was ejected off the ground, floating on a mass of churning air underneath.

"BORN READY!"

Denre grunted, his shoulders and chest charging with with inhuman vibrations.

His legs pounced heavily into the ground as he ran further and then...

BOOM!

Denre ejected himself with terrifying momentum as he leapt towards the now floating bear. Within few seconds to impact, Denre twisted his body allowing him to draw back a power packed right fist. Just then, Ronke drew her extended hand backwards, pulling the bear closer to them as they continued running.

GBOOM! The grakon's punch smacked into the snout of the confused floating bear. Concussion winds exploded as vibrations rippled across the fist, fueling it as it borrowed through the snout into the body of the bear.

THOOOOM!

The entire bear went gooey, exploding on contact with the shockwave accompanying the fist, totally unable to resist the might of Denre's innate ability, the bulk smash.

Denre landed, throwing a cartwheel to land gracefully on his feet. As he did, Ronke and Aeneas caught up with him, running onwards.

He snorted in greeting, picking pace and tearing along.

"What do we have?" He asked no one in particular when he caught up. Just ahead of them was the creature darting through shadows and undergrowth.

Despite them running at top speed, they were still unable to catch up. Denre spared a glance at Aeneas and saw the drakon aiding his pursuit with the wind boost from his wings.

Ronke herself had a little whirl of air that acted as some sort of boost mechanism for her feet while he, All he had was just brute force.

Running like this was sure to put a heavier drain on him than the rest.

And this creature... Denre wanted to assume it was a serpent but decided against it. Serpent didn't just cut the word for this.

This was something even more.

And what was worse, the creature was headed for the Forest secondary entrance. If it got into Drago city...

"We have to contain this. Looks like it's headed towards Drago."! Ronke spoke shrilly.

At that moment, two even larger Hind bears began pounding down towards them, coming from their pursuit chase route.

"I'm getting sick of these dumb bears." Aeneas growled, his feet lifting off the ground as he clapped his wings now.

Seeing this, Ronker and Denre slowed down considerably, allowing Aeneas to take the vanguard position.

The bears bellowed, galloping to the floating, advancing drakon in the center of their path as their auras fired about.

In response, Aeneas arched his back, his head bent back in a roar and taking the unmistakable qualities of a dragon. In one swift motion, he swept his head forward, exhaling a blast of blue hot flames incinerating and completely roasting the two bears at a go.

He clenched his hands, forcing his dragon side inside as his teammates picked up tempo and raced past him.

*HUFF...

Bayo panted as he reached the scene. He had being galloping since... do dogs even gallop?

All the same, these people were extremely quick paced, so much he had to do everything possible to still follow them towards the chase.

At the first kill, he was awed but at same time unhappy seeing that the entire bear was smashed into exploding paste.

But that did not last long as Aeneas roasted the two bears, alive. The smell of roasted meat wafting through the dusk was so enticing that Bayo propelled himself, munching a bite into the bear.

He looked forward, upon the fleeting forms of his stalk. Wincing briefly, he munched in gobbles before returning to his feet once more.

He would have to return to the free meal and possibly find a way to get some back to the pack. Already, he had gotten 5points of energy from the quick munch he had.

Just how powerful were these people that energy packed bears were fried at once.

Or roasted!

Meanwhile the trio continued, their chase getting even further and further slithering through vegetation and throwing up a cloud of thick smoke that obscured their vision whenever it changed path or entered into the open.

The trio were already frustrated, their faces gaunt with fatigue and worry. They had been running all through, moving at the top speeds but no luck. Even Aeneas was not able to grasp the from of the creature from his aerial position.

HISSSSSSSSSSSS...

A loud hiss rent the air, slowing everyone but the slithering creature. Ronke and her team stopped, looking about for the creature when a large green snake dived down from a tree at her.

Quickly, Aeneas boosted head on, his face contorting as his dragon half began showing. The foe was 9feet high and looked at them with menacing gaze. As soon as Aeneas got into range of its trajectory, it twisted its body, curving its long fanged teeth to clasp on the drakon.

HZzzz

The drakon's dragon face squeezed in amazement, startled with the maneuver of the snake. Tilting, it evade the teeth clench but was knocked off course by the massizve snake cheek.

The snake hissed as it continued its dive, righting Itself.

"AHHHHH... Face a worthier warrior." Denre cried, his body in the air with two massive fists coming down with a slam. The snake hissed lowly as it retracted it's head before lunging towards the grakon.

CRASHHHHH...

Denre was lifted off course by a sudden wind current, knocking into a nearby tree.

"To Me, Serpent." Ronke yelled, as her left feet lifted briefly from the ground, challenging the oncoming snake.

Bayo huffed, amazement filling his eyes. He waited anxiously,l behind a trees anticipating what move the three guys would pull to defeat the serpent. It was true that they had energy limit higher than the serpent but for now, the serpent available wenergy was much higher than them.

THUD!

Ronke's raised foot slammed into the ground. Immediately, dust erupted shadowing a rising horn of earth. Bayo blinked just then to clear out the dust in his eyes when he noted the speared serpent hissing and squirming as Earth jutted out a little off the head.

Oh Nom Nom... Free energy.

Ronke heaved at the sight of Denre smashing the head of serpent flat. They were already at the end of their chase as before them were the pillars of the fence that surrounded the entire forest.

Drago lay just after the pillar posts.

"So..." Ronke started, straightening her now dusty gown. "All this was just goose chasing? Nothing to show for it?" She asked, frustrated.

Denre scratched his head, dropping his butt on the ground, at loss of what to say.

"At least we have the dog." Aeneas tried to be encouraging. He was back in his humanoid form already.

"What DOG? We left it remember?" Ronke yelled.

"We could go back to the forest to get it." He suggested.

"Bad IDEA! We go back with low firepower and by dawn, we are essence food for those beasts. It's DUSK ALREADY." Denre refused.

"It's hopeless. The CFR will have our heads." Ronke said dejectedly, sjhaking her head whilst her hands rested at her hips.

"Not really! Hey, I locked the essence of the dog into the soul sensor." Aeneas said, bringing out the sensor from his pocket.

Excitedly, Denre shot up. "Tell me we got it and I'll agree DRAKONS ARE SMART!"

The drakon ignored him, looking at the sensor. After a while,he frowned. "I can't find it. The sensor is unable to track the beast at the last known location."

Ronke sighed deeply, throwing her hands up.

"It's over guys, let's go. Guardian Enamore awaits."

The two males turned, following their lead towards the pillars.

"Speaking Of guardian Enamore, sudden death , here we come!" Aeneas said, earning a facepalm from Denre.

"Dumb Drakons." Denre sighed.
