"Story of an Unsurprising Hero"

                I tried writing something new.

                Reincarnation in another world, I wonder if this is okay…

                This first part is completely an introduction. This is a story.

                In essence, it will begin from the second story. (Author Note)

                「Hahahaha! Hero, is that the end of your attack? Now, yield before my power;  show me your despairing face!」

                The Demon Lord continued with a loud laugh as the hero, with his knees on the ground, held his sword wrapped in the white light of the spirit's protection and sharpened his eyes, not throwing away hope as the Demon Lord manifested a powerful final magic attack overhead.

                At the center of the deep red vortex, magic power began to gather, creating an arrowhead that dripped like crimson blood.

                The Demon Lord believed that the blade facing the hero could at any time, extinguish his existence from this world.

                「Now then, Hero. Let's send you off to the next world!」

                「Kuh!」

                The Demon Lord lifted his hand above his head and pointed it at the Hero, causing the deep red arrowhead to fly in a straight line at the hero.

                If the arrow hit the Hero, it would all be over.

                The eyes of the hero who hadn't given up hope were dyed with despair.

                The Demon Lord looked at that expression with great joy.

                The hero, feeling that was the end, closed his eyes, then that moment…

                「It's too soon to be over!」

                Turning around, there were the figures of the hero's comrades that should have been exhausted finally arrived in the Demon Lord's room.

                「E-everyone! Are you okay?」

                「Do we seem okay? We're all injured, but even so!」

                The sage with a cane at the ready responded with pain showing on his face.

                With magic bursting from the end of the staff, a protective barrier formed between the hero and the crimson arrowhead.

                It saved the hero, but the sage had used up all of his power, gripping his staff with both hands and breathing heavily.

                「If you intent be my hinderance, I shall send you all to the other world then.」

                「You think we'll go that easily? Here, take this!」

                A knight clad in pure white armor threw something to the Hero.

                「Th-this is?」

                Clenched in the hero's hand was a suspiciously pulsating orb that absorbed light, fitting completely in his palm.

                「Implant that in the Demon Lord's body. If you can, even the Demon Lord's power will lose control and destroy him from the inside.」

                「W-why is the Black Orb in your hands? There, my servants should have spread out the perfect defenses!」

                The one that explained was a beautiful holy saint who was always devoting a prayer to god.

                The Demon Lord, who had built up confidence since the world was within his grasp and almost beat the hero, stepped back and was shaking.

                「That was perfect? With just the three of us, it wasn't even a challenge!」

                「Right, it was a bit of a struggle, but it wasn't a threat.」

                「That's right. If you obey god's will, you won't become our obstacle.」

                The sage who didn't have any power left to use magic, a confident knight boasting to be par with the gods, and the holy saint, loved and protected by the gods, if these three joined hands, there wouldn't be any enemy that couldn't be defeated.

                However, the Demon Lord can only be defeated by the hero, or he'll revive again and plunge the world into chaos.

                Then, the holy saint's prayer enveloped the hero's body with a mysterious light, granting the Hero more vitality.

                The power of the gods manifested through the hero's body, spurring on the final battle.

                Slowly, the hero stood up and faced the Demon Lord, the Black Orb in his hand.

                「The tables have turned, huh. It is victory to us, who didn't lose hope!」

                「D-don't come any closer!」

                The hero began to run toward the frightened Demon Lord.

                The Demon Lord fired magic at the Hero, but the veil surrounding the hero deflected all of the incoming attacks.

                Then, the hero rushed up to the Demon Lord with the Black Orb in hand and struck.

                「Gyaaa–!!」

                When the Black Orb touched the Demon Lord, while the noise like electricity rang out, the Demon Lord's body began to collapse.

                Together with an unearthly shriek, the Demon Lord's body became ash and disappeared.

                「D-did we win?」

                While tottering like a newborn deer, the sage approached the hero.

                「Yeah, we won. Everything's over.」

                The hero turned to the sage, knight, and the holy saint and told them that everything was over.

                His face was a cheerful smile, only dazzlingly radiant.

                「Now then, everyone, let's head back.」

                While the hero leant a shoulder to the sage, together with the knight and holy saint, they left the Demon Lord's room.

                Then, the hero that defeated the Demon Lord received the title Hero, then married the beautiful holy saint, had many children, and lived a happy life.
