Part 2: The Frozen Snow Melts (9)
“If i can, I’m already….. What would you do if i didn’t have the magic yo undo the spell on Your Highness?”
“I don’t care about that. It’s the same as it is now.”
She asked her mouth to stop. The Duke was not fleshy, but his hostility seemed to be clear. She was saddened by his dislike for her. She bowed her head and looked down at her fingertips, the Duke turned around without talking more.
‘I don’t think you’re believing me. You’re just ignoring me?’
Erin looked away and looked only at his back.
No matter how hard she looked, she couldn’t tell by his back. Whether he is the Duke of Rowan Peruka, or her Lex.
“Shall we go down to town for the first time in a long time and take a look at the market?”
“I’ll be in the greenhouse today.”
“Are you sick, madam?”
“No, it’s okay.”
“I don’t think you’ve been feeling well lately. Do you have any problems?”
When Erin saw Mary ‘s worried face, the things that she wants to say could not get out of her mouth were frustrating. It looks like I’m getting a divorce or a burn, Mary.
‘Even though I said so, I do not think the Duke believed me.’
It was unfair. It was from the beginning that Rowan Peruka forced her to come to the castle and mournfully hung on to marry her. Yes, she was treating it as a one-sided sin. Every time she ran, there was a surge of resentment from him. It’s been a few days since she used their room in a fit of anger.
She refused to sleep their because she was afraid of the Duke’s turning back in their while asleep bedroom, but Lex did even question it twice if she didn’t like sharing a bed with him. Erin even felt a sense of self-destruction, because she wanted to see him do his job without him finding her, even when she was threatened with her life.
“Oh, the Duke is going to Duan Port today. Why don’t you come with him?”
“No, I don’t want to get in the way of his work.”
“Is it disturbing? If you go with me, you’ll definitely love it.”
If you’re busy, so do you want to tell me? You’ll be busy working, but you can’t bother to get out of the gap and kill me. Erin squeaked her lips and stopped as she headed to the tattered greenhouse.
She looked back at Mary and asked stealthily.
“If you look at him from a distance, you can’t get in the way?”
“Yes, ma’am!”
Erin eventually passed on Mary’s words and went out to the port where the Duke had come out for inspection.
“Wow, it’s really big.”
“The Duke’s accomplishments are amazing. But you’re not interested in the business of Duke. at all.”
“I don’t know if I can look at them.”
Erin smile and laugh awkwardly. She was interested in what was going on with him, but she was trying to make up for the impression that she was not greedy.
An hour’s drive to port was like a small city. Against the backdrop of the vast expanse of the sea, boats that are the size of a house were anchored, and the streets were crisscrossed with carriages and carts that were lined up.
Erin pressed a scarf over her head in a sweeping sea breeze and looked around the stretch.
“If you came here as a Duchess you’ll be with lots of people to care for you. You would have liked it very much.”
“Well, it took half a day to prepare? There’s so much to prepare for the Duchess.”
“But that’s true.”
Even today, Erin was not in the duchess’s clothes, but the usual public attire, as she did when she was out in the market. In fact, it’s not just the port that’s she was here for. She wanted to see the ‘work’. It would have been more accurate of her wanting to see him or steal his secret.
