Part 2: The Frozen Snow Melts (15)
“I asked you what are you doing.”
“Well, that’s…It’s never going to hurt you.”
As she stammered in fear, the Duke twisted his mouth and smiled.
Can you not smile like that? It’s even scarier.
Even though it is the same face, if Lex smiles, it is sweet. When the Duke smile like this, it feels like a smiling gentleman who worries about how he can harass her.
The Duke, who did not erase his smile, laughed with his voice low.
“Your doing suspicious things alone, but it’s not harmful?”
“Yes, but yo-“
“But what? Were you putting a curse that was not harmful to me? “
“Curse, I’m not a witch!”
When she looked at his expression, a face full of disbelief, Erin licked her tender lips with her tongue. She had a hard time figuring out how to explain it from here.
During dinner, the situation reminded her of the situation before the magic was activated. She was terrified when she knelt down, then bite her lips and dropped of her blood on the ground. In the spell-book, blood was the master of the commonly described witchcraft. When she remember that she was shedding blood, she thought that maybe it was because she controlled this magic and wanted to try it.
The Duke hasn’t had his magic unraveled since she returned from the harbor, and she wanted to keep it intact. It was obvious that even with such a pretty girl, she would be more humble and easily thrown away. The moment the magic was released, it seemed as if she would be burned to death by casually driving her as a witch.
This and that anxiety made her restless and finally made her ran all the way here in the middle of the night as soon as he fell asleep.
But how did you come to know? Why is the magic unraveling again? What are the criteria by which the magic has come and gone?
Er-in gave a nervous look at the knife that had fallen on the floor. The Duke, who had alternately looked at her and the Magic Circle, sighed and pointed to the middle ground. While he turned away for a moment, she pounced on the opportunity to pick up the knife. And stabbed herself in the palm of her hand without hesitation.
“Uh!”
Red blood sprang up in a flash and fell to the floor. Exactly in the middle of a magic circle pattern.
