Jason was skeptical of this old man. While he kept saying that they were related it wasn't proven yet. There was still a huge if in the air about this yet he still helped Jason awaken this amazing power. There was no free lunch in this world. He must want something from him. Jason just couldn't imagine what Siegfried would want from him. After all, Siegfried was incredibly powerful and Jason was simply a tiny fish in the big ocean that is the world. there was nothing he could do for him.

Siegfried chuckled slightly at the skepticism of his descendant. It was good to be skeptical. After all, if Jason simply took this power without hesitation it would look like he was a bit of an idiot.

"Even with the Black Tome, you gave me previously. Its power is off the charts with it being a guide to the power cycles of ancient emperors even if I casually practiced anyone of those cultivation methods it would be hard for me to find an opponent. Yet you still come here to give me an even more powerful cultivation method. One that you personally practice. What is your goal?" Jason was a suspicious person from the start and this old man simply kept on gifting things to him that normal people would kill for. He had no contact with people that had cultivation methods like these but he could guess that they were only for direct descendants or people who have sworn themselves to them. The only vampires he had ever met were Michael and Ashley and all they were using were the most basic of cultivation methods to develop their strength. It was clear to him that people weren't simply giving out cultivation methods. So this old man must want something. Its gotta be a huge favour that requires a lot of strength. Considering how he gave me the black tome first but came back presumably he thought that the strength the tome provided wasn't enough to complete the task so decided to give me the Blood Legacy that he wields.

"Its good to be a suspicious boy. After all, you must be careful mingling amongst demons and such. But to be so defensive to me after all I have done is simply hurtful you know." Siegfried gave Jason a pitiful look as if Jason's suspicion had truly hurt him. Jason chuckled inwardly at the pitiful display he put on. He looked like someone's grandparent pretending to be hurt after their grandchild said they didn't like him. It gave one a sense of oddity considering when Siegfried made that look he was still clad in his Blood Armour with its sharp greaves and points.

Jason didn't even bother to reply to Siegfried. After all, it was a waste of words to try to convince this old man to tell the truth. They were simply not on the same level. Jason nothing to threaten or bribe him with. The only thing of value he had was that Black Tome and Siegfried was the original owner of it. Also, violence was out of the question as Jason had not forgotten the feeling of being smacked around while being held up by those blood tendrils.

"So you're not going to ask anything else?" Siegfried asked in pleasant surprise after seeing Jason simply look at him. He was expecting Jason to burst out with profanity or violence. He did not expect him to be so level minded and keep quiet. A trait many struggle with.

"Even if I asked would I get answers?" Jason threw the question at him in disgust. He hated the feeling of being toyed with. Yet there was nothing he could do. He was in Siegfried's complete control.

"Nope but you could at least struggle a little maybe try to fight back. Why don't you throw a punch at me again." Siegfried stuck his chin out baiting Jason to throw a punch at his outstretched jaw. The whole time a wide grin on his face.

Jason's hands tensed into fists. Before he took a deep breath and unclenched his hands. He was being made a fool of once again. Even if Siegfried had his chin out and was inches away there was no possible way a punch could land on him.

Seeing Jason's hands unclench Siegfried knew that there was no point in playing this game any longer. Jason wasn't going to throw a punch and that was that. So he straightened himself out.

"There is no particular price on this power. I simply wish for the world to know the power of my bloodline and for it to grow. So go on Jason go and rampage to your heart's desire. This is your legacy. A power born of your ancestry. Use it well." With that Siegfried spread his arms out wide and disappeared.

Jason awakened with a jolt. He appeared back into his apartment the Tome outstretched before him as if mocking him. The Tome was open its pages still flipping as if it was waiting for Jason to pick a path not knowing that he had just been bestowed the greatest path there was for a vampire.
