The sunlight spilling through the window slit was bright as usual . The delicious smell of breakfast wafted into the room through the door seam .

Yu Luocheng would usually skip breakfast as his father worked in the factory from Monday to Friday and his mother always went to work early . It was unlikely that she would make him breakfast in the morning .

The scent of cooked porridge meant only one thing—The other woman in his family had returned home and though she was at times pretty annoying, he couldn't deny that she was extremely hard working and good at doing housework .

Yu Yu was currently studying in a swim academy and had most probably become a member of the province reserve team . Despite her small and delicate build which was that of a typical teenage girl, she moved dominantly like a queen on the chessboard once she entered the pool . Yu Luocheng was a good swimmer himself but he would never challenge his sister in the water…

Yu Luocheng chewed on his breakfast mindlessly, enjoying the silence after Yu Yu had stopped bugging him .

After he had finished half of his porridge, Yu Yu, who was sitting beside him still had not uttered a single word . Feeling a little uneasy, Yu Luocheng glanced at his sister and found her with her head lowered and tears clinging to the edge of her lashes threatening to spill over .

She had not tied her hair into a ponytail today, letting it flow down to frame her small face, making her look more breathtaking than usual .

“What now?” Yu Luocheng looked at her worriedly .

“You always do this to me! It's not easy for me to get a holiday to come home,” Yu Yu sniffled, close to breaking into tears any minute now . “I'm going back to the academy soon and it's hard to find someone to talk to due to the hectic training . Whenever I call you, you hang up on me after just a few lines and when I'm home, you find me bothersome…”

Seeing that the waterworks were about to be let loose, Yu Luocheng quickly consoled her, “Okay, okay… I promise, I'll go swimming with you for as long as you like, even until my skin peels off . Please don't cry, okay, my beloved sister?”

“But how is there enough time for us to go swimming now? I still need to go and buy some clothes later at night,” Yu Yu said, still looking rather downcast .

“Leave that to me too, we can go together . ” Yu Luocheng nodded decisively .

Yu Yu finally raised her head after hearing Yu Luocheng's promise . She wiped away the tears near her eyes and smiled mischievously, “Now, that's how we get things done!”

She was confident that none of the other ladies in the swimming pool was going to be prettier than her and their body figures would not be comparable to hers as well .

However, it was hard to say the same about the girl that she had bumped into near the bridge that day .

Yu Luocheng had been searching high and low for a good excuse to invite Yang Qianqian out for a date despite the hot weather .
