Undefeatable – League of Legends Chapter 72

A blue glow radiated from Twisted Fate . When he'd respawned at the Fountain earlier, Yu Luocheng had picked up an Elixir of Brilliance 1 , as well as a whole stack of Mana Potions .

It was common knowledge that Twisted Fate couldn't get out too many skills without a Blue Buff . Yu Luocheng had remembered this, and had made preparations in advance .

Even so, he'd already used up all of his Mana Potions now .

Glancing at Leona's current position, Yu Luocheng reached for a blue card!

Shimmering like water, the blue card was flung out, and it struck squarely against Leona, emptying out her health bar .

“Twisted Fate draws a blue one, and lets fly… oh, too bad—the Support still lives! I don't get what he's doing! Attacking Leona means putting himself within reach of Ashe!” the MC wailed .

Everyone on Team Scarlet was staring at Yu Luocheng . Exchanging an AP champion's life just to get a Support, it wasn't any worthwhile kind of trade… so Yu Luocheng had lost hope, too .

“Sure enough, Ashe launches an all-out attack! Twisted Fate is Slowed! Now there's no way for him to run!”

Yu Luocheng frowned . He'd thought that blue card would have been enough to finish Leona off .

He hadn't expected Leona to get a pair of 'Mercury's Treads', and other Magic Resist items besides . It certainly explained how she had managed to survive against him for so long .

This miscalculation meant Yu Luocheng was in a tough spot: Ashe was already Slowing him down; Leona had wisely moved out of his reach, and was now in full retreat, so that he had no hope even of getting a lucky hit on her with his 'Wild Cards' at maximum range .

“Twisted Fate is running out of health! A few more attacks and it'll be all over!” the MC's pronouncement of imminent doom rang out across the entire arena .

One arrow! Two!

A smirk teased at the corners of Liu Qi's lips . Another kill for the team captain of Aviator .

Then Twisted Fate ducked nimbly into the bush behind the Lizard Elder . His line-of-sight to the target broken, he was unable to fire the next arrow .

No matter, Twisted Fate had been Slowed—he couldn't escape .

Ashe gave chase into the brush, glancing at the remaining cooldown on 'Volley' . Almost ready… no matter how Twisted Fate tried to dodge, he would still meet his end!

Once inside the bush, he spotted Twisted Fate's retreating shadow right away . It was like standing over a badly crippled soldier as he tried to crawl feebly away . Arrow already nocked on the bowstring, Liu Qi knew that he had all the time in the world to choose his moment, and decide when to send his prey off to his eternal rest .

And then Twisted Fate began to Pick a Card .

Well, what good would that do him? Not even a golden card would save him now . It was a futile effort .

“It's no use…” The dismay in the MC's voice was clear . “Even if he throws out a Stun, it'll only last for one brief second—not enough time for a Slowed Twisted Fate to escape the range of Ashe's 'Volley' . With only that little bit of health left on him, the very next hit he takes will be the last one .

“Sure enough, there's the golden card!”

Whap! The card smacked solidly against Ashe's face as she rushed in, and she was Stunned .

Liu Qi chuckled with disdain . His Volley was ready now . Once the Stun time had elapsed, one press of W and this hunt would be over .

Foom!

Suddenly, a malicious red eye appeared in the air above Ashe's head!

Startled, Liu Qi looked to Twisted Fate, and saw him bathed in the red light of 'Destiny' . Rays of red light showered down over Twisted Fate, forming a profane pattern upon the ground!

“Destiny? Twisted Fate is using his Destiny, now?” The MC was utterly befuddled  .  1

That's right: Twisted Fate had chosen this moment to use his ultimate skill!

It wasn't just the MC who was bewildered by this—everyone stared at the condemned Twisted Fate, unable to comprehend why he was throwing away his ulti when he was essentially already dead .

When Liu Qi saw what was happening, realization hit him with a flash, and he began ramming his finger repeatedly on W!

One second—no, 1 . 5 seconds! That was how long the Stun effect lasted .

That 1 . 5-second Stun would be enough time for Twisted Fate to follow up with 'Gate' and teleport away!

Volley! A cluster of snow-white arrows fanned out, screaming as they raced towards Twisted Fate .

But he was already gone . The arrows hit nothing but the brush .

“Argh!” Liu Qi cried, his expression equal parts shock and rage .

He felt as though he'd found a cute girl, stripped her of all her clothing, and just as he'd cornered her, she suddenly sprouted a pair of wings and departed . It was as unbelievable as it was confounding ! 1

Where did he go? Where had Twisted Fate gone?

“Damn it!” Suddenly, a cry of hot fury exploded nearby . It was Kai Wu!

Wu Kai's Leona had been channeling a Recall 1 in what he'd thought was a safe spot, while he panned his view over to watch Ashe .

Then Twisted Fate had abruptly vanished .

Before he could react, Wu Kai's screen had turned gray! He hadn't even been able to see how he'd died!

“Oh my god!” the MC hollered .

“TF! TF!”

“Did you see that? Did you all see that? Lord have mercy! Twisted Fate pulled himself from the jaws of death with a golden card and his ulti—and not only that, he even went and finished off Leona mid-Recall!”

“Unbelievable! What an unbelievable play!”

A moment ago, everyone had been expecting to see Twisted Fate die . Now they all stared, wide-eyed, at the massive LCD screen in abject disbelief!

Long coat billowing, covered in wounds all over, a bloodstained card held between his fingers… Twisted Fate had failed to die, and instead now stood over Leona's fallen body!

The crowd was going wild! No one had anticipated such an awe-inspiring, beyond god-like performance!

“A third-tier golden card Stuns for 1 . 5 seconds, and Twisted Fate's 'Destiny' into 'Gate' also requires 1 . 5 seconds in total! How ascended would this Twisted Fate player have to be to have performed such a judgment, pulled off such a play, in the face of certain death? My word… oh, my word…” The MC seemed as though he might faint .
