Twenty Seven Years Chapter 27

  Chapter 27 Underground Boxing Arena

  July 27, Thursday

Except that the haze of assassination and theft has not dissipated, everything else seems to have returned to calm. Carmine worked, Julia went to school, Meera and Kellerman went shopping, it was no different from before.

Fletcher checked Veraker's study progress, and could not find fault with Veraker's progress and mastery, so he didn't stay in the bedroom too much. Verac took advantage of the abundant time during the day to conduct in-depth research on the list and planning books.

In a blink of an eye, it's night.

After dinner, Colin came to the door in good time.

"Mr. Carmine, Mrs. Mela, good evening." After Colin came, he was still as cheerful as before, and greeted the Carmine family, "I made an appointment with Chris to go out tonight In a while, I will come to pick him up."

"Colin kept inviting me when I went out last time, but I agreed because of the kindness." Verac explained why he and Colin made an appointment to hang out.

Carmine didn't become suspicious, because he was more assured of Verak's current ability, and felt that staying at home all the time was not conducive to clearing up the suspicion. It would also be a good thing to go out for a walk to lay the foundation for the next work, so he readily agreed with Verak to go out.

The efforts of the past ten days have not been in vain, and today's trip is a matter of course.

went out the door smoothly, Verak couldn't help stretching his body, and groaned comfortably.

Colin saw that Veraker felt much happier and relaxed when he came out, and said with a smile, "Have you been bored at home?"

"Yeah, staying at home is almost suffocating to death." Verak followed Colin into the car, "But the body has recovered, and I am ready to get back on track and start working."

"I'm very puzzled, your family has so much money, why are you still working so hard, can't you enjoy it more?" Colin patted the driver, "Let's go, go to the boxing ring."

"It's far worse than your family." Verak shook his head with a smile, "It's not bad to come out to relax once in a while. I can't take it easy if I run here and there every day like you."

Colin sighed: "It's not as good as when I was a child. At that time, I took you to skip class and go out to play every day. It's not like now. You can only make an appointment once in more than ten days. You are really a busy person."

"Isn't there also a physical reason for this?" Verak smiled wryly.

Colin is playful, coupled with doting parents and a wealthy family. At the age of 24, he still eats, drinks and has fun all day long. He is far from Chris, who is in charge of the Thomas Family record release on the surface, but secretly leads the rebel organization.

The car drove for almost forty minutes, and stopped only after reaching the suburb of Laizein.

"How much money did you bring today?" Colin asked as he got out of the car.

"I didn't bring any money." Verak said.

Colin was very surprised: "Huh? Are you going to watch today?"

"Let me borrow some from you first, and by the way let you see what a real God of Gamblers is." Verak planned to use nothing today to win a large amount of private money with the advantage of knowing the result.

"Just you? You haven't won. You are given a nickname mascot and a money-losing vane in the boxing ring. Anyway, every time you beat whoever wins, I will avoid that one." Colin dismissively said, "I will lend you the money It is estimated that it was in vain."

Verak promised a lot of money: "Beat me today, if you lose, I will pay you back three times the money."

"How do you say? What kind of connections did you get?" Colin was a little curious about how confident Verac was so confident today. "Is there a shady scene? How dare they play match-fixing games under our noses?"

"Don't think too much, it's my intuition." Naturally, Verak couldn't explain it, so he dragged Colin into a building next to him that looked a bit dilapidated.

"Master Colin, Master Chris." The outside of the building does not look very impressive, but the interior decoration is quite gorgeous. The waiter at the front desk of the hall saw the two people coming in, bowed and saluted, and led them into the long corridor beside them.

I couldn't hear any movement when I was standing outside, but as soon as I walked into the corridor, the loud cheers and scolding poured into my ears. Verak hadn't seen that scene yet, but he could imagine the fierce fight in the boxing ring just by hearing the voice.

  Underground boxing ring.

Under this bustling city, one of the most exciting, dirtiest, and bloodiest places.

The first choice for countless nobles and wealthy people to seek excitement and spend a lot of money.

This place is not bound by the law. Every boxer is a slave bought by the owner of the underground boxing ring from other places to fight to the death for the pleasure of the nobles. There will be five boxing matches every night in the boxing arena. The competition system is defense and attack. The boxers are one-on-one. Only when one party is beaten to death, the game will end.

Wilak and Colin walked through the corridor under the leadership of the waiter, and what greeted them was the boxing ring and the stepped auditorium, which together estimated to be half the size of a regular football field.

At this time, the auditorium is full of people, more precisely, the stands are full. They were whistling and yelling, and everyone was acting like a madman, making no effort to hide his ugliness.

"It's a bit late, but fortunately it's just the first round. Let's go, Chris." Colin watched the two strong men fighting in the boxing ring. He didn't go down the stairs to enter the auditorium. Go up the side stairs and come to the wide top auditorium.

The auditorium where they are located is at a high place, and they can directly overlook the confrontation of the boxers.

"Colin, Chris, long time no see!"

Many nobles sitting on the sofa, drinking wine, and hugging beautiful ladies greeted the two.

"After a lot of effort, I finally invited Chris over." Colin teased Veraker in front of everyone.

  Verak responded with a smile.

The two sat on the sofa that had already been reserved and watched the game.

Colin crossed his legs, staring at the game below: "Who did you crush?"

"Aren't you asking nonsense? Of course it's Kiki. You probably don't know if you haven't been here for a while. Kiki has won more than 20 games in a row and has almost no opponents. Everyone basically beats him." A sitter The blond man on the sofa next to them replied.

"I know he's very powerful, but it's nothing to watch if he wins all the time. The boss should buy some more powerful people, right?" Colin said.

"So far...it seems that I haven't bought it yet." Just as the blond man finished speaking, Kiki, who was 1.9 meters tall and strong in the boxing ring, punched his opponent in the face and sent him flying. As of now, the first game has only started for a minute.

After the opponent fell, Kizzi walked over unhurriedly and raised his hands to enjoy the applause.

The blond man took a sip of his wine in satisfaction, and dropped a handful of banknotes casually. Banknotes floated down from the top-level auditorium above, making the ordinary auditorium, which was already full of people, even more enthusiastic.

Seeing this, Verak said to Colin, "Just follow me later."

"Press Kiki? The winning rate is not high, and there is nothing to play with." Colin shook his head, not very interested.

On the boxing ring, Kizzi walked up to the opponent who was lying on the ground and was struggling to get up, stomped on the opponent's head with his feet, roared wildly like trampling an ant, stepped on more than a dozen feet in a row, A puddle of blood flowed from the opponent's mouth and nose, and he lost his breath.

"Press his next opponent." Verak said.
