Chapter 179: Horses and Deer (The fool)

(Tl note: the title is a Japanese proverb meaning the fool, horse = ba and deer = ka , baka = idiot / fool XD. It says it was dangerous because no one can tell what the idiot will do haha.)

“「Dryad」, fertile lands, an island with 「world tree」…”

The king of Marima kingdom turns a sharp gaze to the priest of the holy kingdom Jadarc.

“It wasn’t a lie.”

“It was unlikely that a Jardarc’s messenger will lie in the first place.”

Those who worship the goddess of light 「Irrigamito」, many of them won’t fool around when they are doing mission using the official name of the holy kingdom, Jadarc.  The same theory applies for the priest who are facing the king. Because of that, the face of the priest shows a gentle expression when hearing the Marima King’s word and not get angry.

“Why do you tell about such precious information of the island to my Marima kingdom? Are we going to cooperate or do you have any other reason?”

The Marima King asked while he nods.

“There are of course several reasons. First of all, the island itself is about 3000 kilometers away if we travel on a straight line from Marima kingdom.”

Even when the people around the king are angry, the priest doesn’t panic. He takes out a parchment from his item bag. One of the vassals received the parchment from the priest and after he confirms there is no danger, he hands it over to the King.

Also, as the map show, the island need to be reached from the west or south of Houdon Kingdom, but there is no reason for the Holy Kingdom Jadarc to make expedition there and we will not be allowed to send our ships through the territorial waters.”

“Reasonable enough, but is there something that you still hide from me?”

“Truly I can’t fool the king.”

The vassals were trying to say something after the priest said that but the king raises his hand and the place turned quiet immediately.

The vassal received the box from the priest to check the content but he was surprised when he saw the content. It was a stone bow. Even those who didn’t have 【appraisal】 skills knew that this box was anything but ordinary with a single glance.

Namari who had been watching, seeing Yu as superior. There are also children who gathered around Namari and looked at Yu with shining eyes. They looked at Yu calmly defeating the others while being surrounded.

“King, you are strong!”

Impica then look at Yu while clapping and her eyes are shining just like the others.

“Next is our turn~” (Nina)

“…do we go one by one?” (Lena)

As soon as the children finished, Nina and Lena come forward.

“We need to make some distance; it will be dangerous.”

“King! Do your best!”

“You guys are in C rank, so you should be attacking me together with Marifa and Russ.” (Yu)

Lena sniffed her nose hearing Yu’s word because unexpectedly Yu is already a B rank. It was sure that the girls don’t have a chance going against him.

“If the master and me fight… we can’t leave the children alone.” (Russ)

Russ then sets up a barrier in front of the children. Agafon and Flavia which are not covered by the barrier quickly let out an “urgh” sound.

“Yu, are you really okay fighting against Lena? Will you win?” (Nina)

The battle starts with Lena’s fourth rank magic spell 《Explosion》.

The children are excited seeing Lena’s magic.

As Nina finishes speaking that words, she appeared in front of Yu. She wanted to attack but Yu makes his move first by throwing a punch using his right hand. Nina crouches to dodge the punch and tried to release a sideways kick. Lena who is waiting in the sky, flying using her mithril’s broom is waiting to release a fifth rank 【black magic】, 《Thunder release》; waiting for Nina who make some distance from Yu by jumping backwards.

Numerous thunder falls on Yu’s 【Barrier】; and while he’s inside it, he competes using a sixth rank 【black magic】, 《water dragon fall》. A dragon created from water then opened its jaw as it swallows the thunder that is created by Lena. The fang of the water dragon then tries to break Lena’s 【Barrier】 but she used her magical power to resist it.

At the same time, she releases another sixth rank 【black magic】, 《Fire Prison》 and the flame of hell collides with the water dragon, trying to cancel each other out.

“What am I seeing? It was natural that the king is strong but Nina and Lena are also strong.”

Agafon hair stands upright as he was scared seeing the difference between himself and Yu, Nina and Lena’s fight.

Because Flavia jumped first followed by Agafon, he was late by half step so Flavia was caught on her waist. Agafon face then hit Flavia’s butt. The scene that just happened made Flavia looked at Agafon with a red face and watery eyes.

“What are you doing? This is an accident!”

“HYAAAA!”

Flavia unexpectedly retaliates and scratched Agafon’s face many times with her prideful nails. The children are watching while saying.

“Oh”

“The bear is stupid.”

“Flavia nee-chan, let’s just catch fish.”

There was no sympathy at all for Agafon.
