Those filthy creatures

"Where's my mother?". Horace asked the women who had stopped on their steps as a sign of respect for the royals and then offered a bow.
" Welcome back your royal highness". The women chorused, giving a bow.
"Where's my mother?". He asked again, ignoring their greetings.
" In the tea room". Sofie was the one to speak, her cheeks turning warm as she met the prince's handsome face. He was so charming.
Without a word of appreciation, the rude prince walked past them heading in the direction of the tea room. The women's eyes then turned to stare at Kian, who was trailing behind with four paper bags and a wide smile. "Your highness". The women curtsied.
" Hello, beautiful ladies". He said sweetly, to see them return the smile and why won't they? When he was so handsome and had the aura of captivating people's hearts; especially the women.
"You ladies look pretty". He heard them giggle, turning over to Sofie, he said, " Oh! Sofie, don't stop blushing. It makes my heart rushing, your blushes are sugar sweet". He was hitting on Sofie and she knew, and Andrea excused herself. " Tea at my place?". His eyes were scrutinising her expressions and body, receiving a quick nod from the girl.
"Say it out loud with your pretty lips, please?". He said, leaning closer to her, to hear her heart hitch and he smiled.
" Yes my lord". She said shyly, playing with her hair. Giving more smiles, he walked past her in the direction of the hasty Horace while her eyes trailed after him.
"Mom". Horace called on sighting his approaching mother.
With a smile, she opened wide her hands for a hug. " Come here, son. Welcome to Ethieye. How was your trip? Tell me in the dining room".
"Hey, aunt Petaluma". Kian stepped in, walking closer to leave a kiss on her both cheeks.
" Look at you, looking more handsome". Petaluma complimented, stroking his cheeks and her eyes catching the paper bags.
"All in the genes, your majesty".
And she gave a smile; a smile that had conceded with what he had said. She turned over to Horace, placing her hands on his back; indicating he was to keep walking. " Come on, son. Let's go talk".
Kian could already detect from her words, that there would be some heated arguments and new rules that would be forced to be followed and trust him, there was no way he was going to get hooked up in it.
Raising his toes to tiptoe away, he was about to move away when he heard his aunt's questioning voice.
"Uh, Kian? Where are you going to? Join us at the room too".
Oh shit! He muttered under his breath. Turning around to give an innocent smile, he met the mother-son duo staring at him. One with a sly smile that was saying 'you are going nowhere and the other with an annoyed expression. And he wanted so much to scrap that smug smile off Horace's face.
" Uhm Aunt Petaluma?, I need to go over to my mansion. Gotta pick things up, perhaps in the evening, I could come back?".
"Walk with us Kian". And that was a command.
Kian watched her walk past Horace as she took the lead to the dining room while Horace shrugged as he followed behind her and Kian glared and then sighed in defeat.
...
A woman was seen tirelessly pacing to and fro in a house with a cellphone in her hands as she huffed in and out.
Sitting back on the couch again, she tried redialling a number that she had been trying for a couple of times.
She was beginning to feel anxious, bending her head and clasping it with both hands. Her daughter would have been home now. This was the first time, she was arriving so late from school...
Trying one more time to call her, she realized her line could no longer be connected and she was suddenly alarmed.
She tried calling her daughter's friends but she couldn't reach them too. Walking to the window to look out, she didn't find anyone out there that looked like her precious daughter.
...
Back in school, in Phoebe's class at her desk, where she had left her backpack and notes, her phone relentlessly continued to vibrate.
The door's knob to her class clicked open, letting a hooded figure enter the classroom.
Walking into the class, the hooded figure's attention was driven to the buzzing sound on one of the desks. Turning to walk over in the direction of the sound, the figure found something vibrating in a backpack on the desk.
Rummaging the backpack, she realized it was a cellphone; an old model of a cellphone and she took it up, turning it over to pull off the battery.
Once the figure was sure the phone was put off, the figure stuffed it back into the backpack. Her attention went next to the scattered notes on the desk and her expression hardened on the large inscription of name scribbled on the notes.
'PHOEBE MARKINS'.
