Since Lin Chuyan had made fun of her wavy hairdo, Xiang Nuan was quite uneasy about showing it in front of Lin Chuyan. She looked at him and asked: “Do you have a hair band like this in your home?”

Lin Chuyan went to his parents' room and returned with a bag full of hair bands from his mother's dresser. He even considerately brought a small comb. He didn't understand that a comb was unnecessary to making a ponytail.

As Xiang Nuan was pulling her hair up, Lin Chuyan stared at her. This made Xiang Nuan feel uneasy. Her face felt warm and she wasn't sure whether her face was blushing. After she re-tied her hair, she looked at the extra hair bands and the little comb and suddenly came up with a great idea.

“Lin Chuyan.” Xiang Nuan called him with a smile.

“What?” He smiled back.

“It's a good time for us to do some meaningful things.”

“What things?” Lin Chuyan asked in a small voice; he could hear the beat of his own heart.

“Let me braid your hair?”

“......”

Lin Chuyan had a weird expression on his face. He absolutely refused to accept braiding his hair as a meaningful thing to do.

“Just let me braid your hair.” Xiang Nuan reached over and tugged on Lin Chuyan's sleeve: “I really like to braid hair, but my mom won't let me braid hers. Please……”

How could he refuse her after she begged with such a sweet voice? He couldn't.

Lin Chuyan sat down on a chair with Xiang Nuan standing behind him. He lowered his head and sighed lightly: “Now, who's whose slave after all.”

“What did you say?”

“Nothing.”

“Lin Chuyan, what kind of hairstyle do you like?”

“I like the hairdo I have now.”

“Pick another one.”

Lin Chuyan completely gave up: “Whatever you like.”

Xiang Nuan made five little braids with Lin Chuyan's hair, three on the top and two at the back. His hair was too short to make any fancy braids; she had done her best.

Too bad there wasn't a mirror in Lin Chuyan's study. She used her cell phone to take a picture to show Lin Chuyan. In the picture, Lin Chuyan looked quite despondent.

“Delete that picture.” He said.

“Alright, deleting, deleting.” Xiang Nuan noticed that Lin Chuyan seemed quite depressed and tried to console him: “I've done a bad thing to you, now you can do a bad thing to me in return. Then we'll be even.”

Lin Chuyan laughed and looked her straight into her eyes: “You better think twice about what you just said.”

Xiang Nuan was taken aback.

Lin Chuyan: “Are you having indecent ideas?”

Xiang Nuan thought about what she had just said. She didn't have any other intentions when she said it but after being reminded by Lin Chuyan, she realized that…...what's a bad thing…...She couldn't continue thinking about it……

Her face turned red and she threw the comb away: “Lin Chuyan, you're nuts.”

Lin Chuyan licked the corner of his lips. Looking at her red face, he had the urge to do some bad things to her but reign those desires in.

The main thing that stopped him was all the little braids on his head.

Lin Chuyan couldn't stand to kiss the girl he liked with five little braids on his head. If he did, it would be his first kiss and if he did it under this condition, he didn't want to constantly remember what happened to his hair.

Both of them became quiet, it became quite awkward in the room.

But awkwardness didn't last long however, the door of the study was suddenly pushed open from the outside.

They looked towards the doorway in shock and the person at the doorway returned the look. The man seemed to be frightened of the braids and cursed: “Damn! What are you!”

The loud and resonant voice scared Xiang Nuan. She found it odd that somehow this man, from his look to his voice, all seemed familiar to her.

Lin Chuyan slowly pulled all the hair bands off from his head, one after the other, as he called the man`: “Dad.”
