Chapter 39 Part 1

“Lin Chuyan, what's your New Year's wish then?” Xiang Nuan was curious.

Lin Chuyan held the beer can in one hand while lightly stroking its cold metal exterior
with his finger. He smiled: “I'll let you know when the wish comes true.”

“Alright.” Xiang Nuan answered and covered her mouth as she yawned, small tears
formed at the edge of her eyes.

“Let's go.” Lin Chuyan stood up. “Let's go back.”

“Go back where? My dorm is already locked by now.”

Xiang Nuan wanted to go back to the hospital but Lin Chuyan thought it was
unnecessary since the hospital would take care of Min Lili. Besides, it would be
too tiring to stay in the hospital overnight. He searched for nearby hotels on his
cell phone and chose a decent one to show her.

They went to the hotel and booked two rooms with large bed.

The next day, Xiang Nuan woke up to the ringing of her cell phone. Half of her face
was still hidden inside the soft pillow as she reached for her phone in a daze: “Hello?”

It was the first time that Lin Chuyan had heard her voice over the phone just as she
woke up. The voice was thin, a little smoky, and somewhat nasally as she murmured.
One could tell immediately that she wasn't fully awaken yet.

Her voice was like a kitten's paws tapping on his chest, soft, faint, yet quite ticklish.

Lin Chuyan laughed.

Hearing him laugh, Xiang Nuan quickly shook off the drowsiness: “Lin Chuyan, you
silly, what are you laughing about so early in the morning.”

“It's nothing. I just wanted to ask if you want to go get some breakfast.”

“Sure I do.”

The room included breakfast, which meant that skipping breakfast was giving up
money. Xiang Nuan decided she had to eat breakfast and had to eat it to the fullest.

Breakfast was a buffet. Xiang Nuan picked up an assortment of dishes, then sat down.
She looked at her watch and asked Lin Chuyan: “The final competition is only two
hours away. Do you have the confidence for it?”

“Why do you only think about the game.” Lin Chuyan was peeling a hard boiled egg.
Its shell was particularly difficult to peel off. He held the egg with one hand and used
the other to peel one little piece of shell at a time. Tiny shells fell onto the white plate.

Xiang Nuan's eyes followed his hands, it was rather pleasant to watch.

With hands like his, anything he did was pleasant to the eyes.

Lin Chuyan finally peeled off all the shell and noticed that Xiang Nuan was looking at
his hands. He raised his eyebrows: “You want it?”

“Oh, no. I'll peel one myself.”

He held up the ugly looking egg: “Say something nice to me, then it's yours.”

“Chu god is the best, I surrender.”

Lin Chuyan didn't expect that Xiang Nuan could turn any subject into something
related to the game.

He quietly put the egg on her plate and picked up another one to peel.

“What do you think Waiwai xuezhang will use as his champion today?” Xiang Nuan
asked, concerned very much about Waiwai as he also played support. Just as she
finished asking, she suddenly raised her voice in surprise: “Eh, Waiwai xuezhang?”

Lin Chuyan followed her eyes and turned to take a look. He saw a petrified Waiwai
standing not too far away from them.

Behind Waiwai, there stood Yao Jiamu.
