Chapter 30 Part 1

Xiang Nuan was so angry that she subconsciously tightened her grip on the
chopsticks until all her knuckles turned white. Xiang Nuan's hands didn't quite
match her slender figure; they were a little plump. The skin on the back of her
hands were silky soft…...Lin Chuyan rubbed his palm against his pants as if he
wanted to rub off the lingering sensation left on his palm.

Xiang Nuan didn't notice what Lin Chuyan was doing. She, with a nasty look
in her eyes, gritted her teeth and said begrudgingly: “What exactly were you
trying to do!”

“I was doing this all for your own good.” Lin Chuyan spoke while sipping some
beer, unperturbed, and whispered: “Smell your own hand.”

Xiang Nuan smelled her hand.

Lin Chuyan: “What do you smell?”

Uhm, it did smell somewhat strange……

She had been peeling shrimps earlier and the shrimps had come from the hot
pot. Though she had wiped her hand, the smell of food was still quite strong.

Lin Chuyan didn't wait for her answer and inquired further: “Doesn't it smell like
seafood flavored pork hock?” As he was talking, he leaned over to speak in an
even lower voice to her ear while chuckling: “Tell me, what would he feel if he
had kissed a hand with such a smell? Maybe he'll just get hungrier……”

“You shut up!”

“No good deed goes unpunished.” Lin Chuyan sounded like he was complaining.

“Alright, I misunderstood you.” Xiang Nuan swayed the beer mug in her hand:
“Here, bottoms up.”

Lin Chuyan stopped her: “Nevermind, I don't mind. You don't need to drink it
all up.”

“It's fine, I can handle a lot of alcohol.” Xiang Nuan lightly pushed him away and
drank the remaining half of beer in her mug, in one breath. She wiped her lips
after she finished and said: “When I was little, I drank my father's Maotai[1] behind
his back.”

She didn't speak loudly, yet Shen Zemu happened to hear it while he was talking
to someone else. He turned to take a look at her and asked with complete interest:
“What happened then?”

Xiang Nuan was a bit uneasy, she scratched her ear: “I just took a few sips, didn't
get drunk.”

“Your parents didn't punish you?”

“No, they never punish me.”

Shen Zemu could fully understand her parents; he wouldn't punish her if he had
a beautiful daughter like her.

Afterwards, Xiang Nuan, as if to prove that she could drink a lot, drank beer like
it was a soft drink. Too much beer had gone to her head. When Lin Chuyan saw
her back to her dorm, she took off her own gloves to give to him right in front of
the dorm.

Lin Chuyan was reluctant to take them: “I'm not cold.”

“Take them, it's alright if your face gets frostbite but not your hands.”

“Why is it alright to get frostbite on my face but not the hands?”

“You can't play games if you have frostbite on your hands.”

“Then how about my face?” Lin Chuyan teased her: “So my face is worthless?”

Xiang Nuan tilted her head to check his face. After a while, she smiled: “Lin Chuyan,
you really are good looking.”

“Thank you, you too.”

In the end, Lin Chuyan put her gloves on his hands. The pink, knitted gloves were
stretched out as they went over his palms. There were kitties embroidered on the
back of the gloves and little white pom poms adorned along the edges…...a very
girly pair of gloves.

Lin Chuyan wore the gloves back to his dorm. When Zheng Dongkai saw it, he was
taken aback: “So, what they said on the forums are all true!”

“What did they say?” Lin Chuyan took off the gloves and stretched his long fingers.

“They said that you were acting gay and even confessed to a handsome xuezhang
at the gathering. And they said you're the uke.”

“Do you all believe it?”

All three roommates looked at each other and then carefully checked Lin Chuyan's
expression. They all found it to be a difficult question to answer. Finally, Zheng
Dongkai tentatively asked: “Should we believe it or not?”

“It is if you believe it, it's not if you don't believe it. Take your pick.”

“We don't believe it, don't believe it, don't believe it!”

“And,” Lin Chuyan put the gloves neatly on his desk, then took off his jacket and
spoke without even looking at his roommates: “I'm a seme.”

Zheng Dongkai became apprehensive again.

“Dongkai, aren't we over confident?” Dayu said after Lin Chuyan had gone to the
bathroom: “Even if Chuyan is gay, he wouldn't be interested in us.”

“That sounds even worse than if he was interested……”
