Chapter 13 Part 1

Shen Zemu didn’t like how he felt right now. He was thinking of inviting
Xiang Nuan to join his team as a payback for her help yesterday. If he
couldn’t payback the favor that way, then he would still owe her a favor.

He didn’t like to owe anything to anyone. He preferred to keep a reciprocal
relationship with others, which was the condition he felt the most comfortable.

To a certain extent, he behaved like someone who suffered from obsessive
compulsive disorder.

Shen Zemu brought the costume back to the dorm room and saw Waiwai
was playing mahjong with classmates.

“Aren’t you busy tonight?” Shen Zemu asked.

“I’m busy with this.” Waiwai replied while playing a move. “I think we should
include mahjong as an event at our esports competition.”

Shen Zemu put down the costume on his desk.

Waiwai thought about another thing while talking about the competition. He
angrily asked, “Hey, Shen Zemu, what did you mean that you wanted to kick
me out of the team?”

“I was joking.”

“......What the hell?”

“I mean, you can come back to the team now.”

“Shen Zemu, damn, did take some bad meds? !......Shit, I want that tile, wait,
wait, wait, wait!”

Shen Zemu sat down to log onto Kings of Glory and found Xiang Nuan from
his friend list to check her stats of the games she had recently played.

Xiang Nuan’s most frequently used champion recently was…...ur, Zhang Fei?

This girl had a strange taste……

Xiang Nuan had mixed emotions when she received a skin as a gift from
Shen Zemu.

Her god gave her a skin which should be a delightful thing for her, however,
Zhang Fei’s skin…...really wasn’t her cup of tea…...though it was quite
expensive……

She would rather have a skin for Xiao Qiao. Though she might not have much
of a chance to use it, it was nice to look at it anyway.

It was hard to understand the taste of her god.

In any case, she still had to show her appreciation. Xiang Nuan put on the skin
when she played; all the Kings of Glory skins would slightly increase the champion’s
ability. Most people bought the skins just for the looks, just like people who enjoyed
dressing up when going out.

Though she didn’t like the skin, Xiang Nuan was still a little excited. She sent a
message to Shen Zemu: Xuezhang, I got the skin, love it.

Zemu: En, glad you like it.

It’s Nuannuan: Thank you, xuezhang!

Zemu: You’re welcome.

It’s Nuannuan: Why did you give me a skin all of sudden?

Zemu: It’s a thank you gift.

Xiang Nuan didn’t expect that. She thought Shen Zemu was showing interest
in her. It turned out it was just a thank you gift for her help the other day…...
She became disappointed.

Xiang Nuan asked Min Lili, “Tell me, what do you think a person would look like
if he has a especially pleasant voice but sometimes acts like a jerk……?”

Min Lili replied, “Based on my personal experience, a person with a beautiful
voice usually looks ugly. God is fair after all.”

“Is that true?” Xiang Nuan was taken back. “But look at those TV anchors……”

“They certainly look good since they are picked out from billions of the population.”

“That makes sense.”

That night, Xiang Nuan posted a new message in her friend circle: It’s shallow to
judge a person by his/her look. I myself value the substance of the person.

Lin Chuyan saw the new post which further confirmed his guess-- --This girl
probably isn’t very pretty and has no confidence with her own looks. That was
why she asked “not to laugh at her when they meet.”

Well, he should at least give some sort of reassuring gesture.

20 minutes after she posted, she received a like from Chuyan.

I’m so kind-hearted that I won’t give you the cold shoulder no matter how ugly
you look…...Both of them thought the same thing.

As if they reached some secret pact, both of them felt quite satisfied and bade
each other goodnight.
