The Villain's Perspective
Alice's shady past was locked away in obscurity. Even with her fierce determination and unscrupulous tactics, little was known about her, only that she descended from a powerful dynasty and had sought to be renowned and affluent. Yet the reasons for her actions remained a mystery, however it could be concluded that her desire was to show her strength and to be the most dominant force of those in her presence.
Alice's relationship with Jack was fraught with a myriad of emotions; she was captivated by his convictions, yet threatened by the strength of his beliefs. She felt both jealous and envious at seeing Jack content in his relationship with Lara, yet Alice could not explain the depth of her feelings for him. As their tumultuous relationship progressed, Alice became increasingly obsessed with him and eventually realized that she had developed something far more intimate than just admiration for him. A passionate attraction developed between them, both thrilling her and filling her with dread due to the unpredictability and uncontrollable power it held over them both should they give in to their feelings.
Meanwhile, Lara's search for acceptance continues as he begins to realize that his feelings for Jack are stronger than she imagined.
For Lara, the only course of action was to come up with a plan that could eliminate Alice's hold on Jack while also freeing himself from her control. He knew deep down that if he wanted any chance of becoming true competition for Jack in his affections, then killing the villain would be his best option; it was only way to rid them off this dangerous threat and ensure their safety. To avoid being apprehended by authorities or jeopardizing their pursuit for freedom, Lara developed an intricate scheme designed to lure Alice into a false sense of security before finally destroying her at her own game - something which she had successfully done many times before him and others.
