The Invincible Dragon Emperor Chapter 529: Lure Enemy to Destruction

The terrain in the small battlefield dictated that it was not suitable for a large army to march and fight. When the number was too big, the line would be too long, which would make the army too big and easy target for the four alien races.

But it was different now.

The four alien races' armies were weakening with many of them hidden in their base camps. Not many alien races were outside now. It wouldn't matter much if a small army of them sneaked their way over.

The base camp of the Asmodians was not far away from the human's. If Lu Li flew there at the top of his speed, it would only take four or five days. But since there were more than 1000 warriors and more than half were only at the Eternal Realm, the speed was impeded.

They marched and rested at intervals. Along the way, more than a dozen alien race teams sneaked up on them and about dozens were slayed. After 12 days, the army finally arrived at the base camp of the Asmodians.

Outside there was no plain land. The base camp of Asmodians was located in a mountain range. Lu Li halted the army in a mountain more than 60 miles away from the base camp.

"Listen up!"

Lu Li flew up on his Fate Wheel and so did Ye Luo, Lu Hongyu, Lu Lin and Jiang Qiling. Lu Li occupied the commanding position and said, "You all know how cruel the Asmodians can be. Their attacks are weird and their whereabouts are not to be assumed. Of course…we have absolute confidence that we can wreck the Asmodians coming at us, even when all of them come out from their base camp. What you have to do is to encircle and suppress the ones running away after we defeat them. You must listen and follow orders given by Jiang Qiling and Lu Hongyu or we will not be responsible for your demise."

Lu Li had discussed with Ye Luo, Lu Hongyu and Lu Lin about their plans. They would divide the human warriors up into groups of four or five who would be in an alliance for offensive and defensive. It should be okay for four or five to fight one Asmodian together.

Lu Li and Ye Luo would be the main force while Lu Lin assisted them. Since Jiang Qiling hadn't recovered yet, she and Lu Hongyu would be in command of the other warriors.

The more than 1000 warriors moved in groups of four or five and hid in the mountains nearby. There were two layers of encirclement to the east, south and north in case any Asmodians would run away. This was a pocket formation, waiting for the enemies to step into.

"Ye Luo, off to you. I will go now!"

Lu Li toured around a bit and threw a glance to Ye Luo who nodded. Lu Li left on his own toward the base camp of the Asmodians.

Lu Li had taken over the responsibility of luring Asmodians out. This was a risky endeavor. Even Lu Lin might not be able to make it back. Lu Li, on the other hand, was resourceful, which made him the perfect candidate.

Lu Li didn't release his Fate Wheel. He carried his divine weapon of Dragon King and strolled over to the base camp while inspecting for hidden Asmodians nearby with his psychic power.

There must be some of them outside the base camp. Only 30 miles in, Lu li had found three Asmodians.

Lu Li's psychic power was strong. The Asmodians hadn't noticed him yet. He pretended that he didn't see them and marched on.

Not long afterwards, the three Asmodians noticed Lu Li. They sneaked their way over underground, trying to assassinate him.

Clearly, the three Asmodians hadn't met with Lu Li before. They stole their way over from underground and burst out at the same time from under Lu Li's feet.

"Bang, bang, bang~"

The ground was cracked as they dashed out. Three glowing spears were stabbed at L uLi from three directions.

Lu Li had been paying attention to the movements underground. As soon as the three Asmodians rushed out, he released golden needles of psychic power to stab at two Asmodians' Soul Ponds. At the same time, he drew the divine weapon of Dragon King from his back and hacked at an Asmodian's spear to knock it away. Gliding over, he hacked the other two Asmodians' heads.

Two heads were crushed. Instead of going after the one he knocked away, he turned around and began to run away in terror.

The remaining Asmodian didn't dare to chase after Lu Li who was running like crazy after witnessing the death of its two partners. It howled to get reinforcement while followed it Lu Li from a distance in case it lost him.

Lu Li was pleased and nervous at the same time. He was not afraid of the Asmodians himself. What he was concerned of was that the warriors were not ready and casualties would be great.

"Whoosh~"

From behind him came some noises. Clearly, there were powerful Asmodians on his tail. Lu Li sped up for fear he was caught, in which case he wouldn't be able to draw the Asmodians into the encirclement.

Lu Li spread out his psychic power and was relieved to find that only four or five hundred Asmodians were out. They should be beaten easily.

The location of ambush was only a bit over 30 miles away. After Lu Li sped up, he arrived in the time for merely two incense sticks to burn.

Instead of taking actions rights away, Lu Li rushed on. Till almost all the Asmodians were in the encirclement, he stopped. The Fate Wheel appeared. He flew up and shouted, "Ye Luo!"

"Yes!"

The encirclement was like a bag. After hearing Lu Li's order, Ye Luo brought more than 10 warriors with him and closed off the bag.

"Whoosh, whoosh~"

Ye Luo's neck glowed as small black swords were shot out toward the group of Asmodians from behind them. He had resorted to his strongest means at the onset, the Bloodline Skill called Killer Swords. The other warriors released their best skills as well to attack the Asmodians from behind.

"Die!"

Lu Li turned around to launch assault at the Asmodians. Little White was on his shoulder so the toxic matters used by the Asmodians could not get close to him. His golden needles of psychic power enveloped dozens Asmodians at once.

Not many were powerful among this group of Asmodians. Even the powerful ones didn't have treasures to protect their souls. Lu Li's golden needles of psychic power managed to pierce into their Soul Ponds.

Lu Li generated more than dozens of clones while he dashed into the Asmodians and began a massacre. From behind the Asmodians came one black sword after another. Dozens were hit. When the small sword exploded, a bunch of Asmodians were hurt at the same time. Ye Luo and Lu Li were employing the pincer attack strategy. In the time for merely several breaths, the two had killed nearly 100 Asmodians which upset their formation completely.

"Charge!"

Jiang Qiling and Lu Hongyu gave an order for an all-round attack. There weren't too many Asmodians to start with. With Lu Li and Ye Luo's cooperation, the Asmodians' morale decreased as they began to flee. If the humans could not kill the rest Asmodians in situations like this, then the 1000 human warriors would be useless.

"Charge—"

From all sides and directions came the same yell. Many human warriors swarmed over in excitement. Groups of four or five targeted one Asmodian. The fleeing Asmodians were scared stiff.

"Ye Luo, Lu Lin, go to the outside to make sure none of the Asmodians can run away from underground."

The result was a foregone conclusion. Lu Li yelled to Ye Luo and Lu Lin right away. Killing the rest of the Asmodians was not difficult. What mattered was not to let any one of them run away. Many Asmodians knew how to sneak into the ground. Killing those underground travelling Asmodians was a hard task for average human warriors. Ye Luo, Lu Lin and the other more than 10 warriors of the Noble Lord Realm would have to take it over.

Lu Li killed for some moment to control the situation entirely. Then he flew toward the base camp of Asmodians at the top of his speed. On route, he inspected with his psychic power in case there were fleeing ones.

Once an Asmodian sneaked back into the base camp and reported back about the ambush, Lu Li would have a harder time to lure more enemies out.

Therefore, to kill the enemies was not the difficult part. The most difficult thing was not to let one Asmodian escape back to base camp.
