The Card Apprentice Chapter 31

At the DongWei Institution, the cracking squad for the "Fortuitous Encounters" had expanded from only fifteen people to thirty people.  Many disciples who were considered high-level in the Card Creating faculty also came to join in on the fun.  However, there still hadn't been any processes.  No one had expected that a level one Illusory card could have hindered almost every Card Creating expert in the entire DongWei institution.  Among them, many had even gotten approval for being an Intermediate Level Card Creator.
Anyhow, not everyone in the Card Creating faculty wanted to help those female disciples.  Not to mention several of them were capable people. In this world, there would always be people who despised fame.

In the DongWei Institution, many people would smirk, when hearing the name of this cracking squad.

Zuo TingYi carefully examined an Illusory Card in front of him. He had already borrowed this "Fortuitous Encounters" from his younger sister for two weeks. These past two weeks, he had poured all of his free time into this set of Movie Cards. He was curious about why this card couldn't be cracked.

However, reality was incredibly cruel.  Even now, he still didn't have any improvements.  This had struck him hard.  As compared to the other disciples, he had been bearing much pressure from when he was young in terms of learning. There were numerous Card Creators who were under his family's control. A few of them were much more formidable than the instructors at his institution.  He was used to that kind of high ability, as his capacity also far surpassed that of his friends of the same age.

Just based on his identity and family's background, he didn't event need to bother about that useless assessment test.

Zuo TingYi was innately conceited. Encountering difficulty only provoked that haughtiness deep inside his bones.

And better yet, the set of Movie Cards in front of him was naturally capable of doing that.

Towards the fact that he still didn't figure out any methods after spending such a long time analyzing these level one set of Illusory Cards, he was extremely dissatisfied.  Of course, the other reason was that his younger sister had totally adored this set of Movie Cards.  He didn't dare to use specialized devices to analyze it.  His family had a specialized Card Creating room. Compared to those in the institution, these were much more advanced. Nevertheless, using specialized devices could easily have created damages on the Cards.

However, he had realized that without the help of those specialized devices, he would never be able to see through this Illusory Card.

There would probably only be a five percent difference in the structure of this Illusory Card compared to a regular one.  He believed this five percent was the unique point of this set.

A figure of an innocent young girl appeared in his mind; eyes were filled with gentleness. Zuo TingYi bitterly smiled, maybe this time my younger sister wouldn't let me go that easily.

Anyhow, he quickly regained his calmness and determination. His facial expression was ice-cold.  Picking up the Movie Card on the table, he dashed towards his Card Creating Room.

Zuo TingYi's Card Creating Room was about two hundred and seventy square feet.  Countless of precision devices were put into the room.  Except for him, no one was allowed to enter this room.  Even his younger sister wasn't allowed to set foot inside of this room.

He opened the device and analyzed the Illusory Card's structure.  This was a specialized Illusory Card Analyzing set.  In other words, it was particularized for analyzing high-level Illusory Cards.  The lowest level Illusory Card which was used here was at level three.  This was the first time it was used to analyze a level one Illusory Card. Anyhow, using this type of device to analyze such a low-level card, he must also have been the first one to do so.

Zuo TingYi, however, didn't despise the set due to its low level.  Quite the contrary, he was showing his most serious side by now. Being able to use a structure he had never known before on a level one Illusory Card was an intimidating capacity.

Sitting neatly on his working desk, Zuo TingYi activated the Illusory Card Analyzing device.  The device was about human height.  Its core was an extremely advanced and bizarre Probing Card.  This Probing Card was at level five. Moreover, its way of probing was also different from those regular ones.  This was why the price of this Illusory Analyzing set was that high.

In the entire TianYou Federation, there were only three corporations, which were capable of producing this set of devices. Moreover, one needed to place an order first to be able to buy it.

Bzzzzzzz… red lights were beaming nonstop, showing that the device was constantly probing this Illusory Card's structure.

The result of the probing process appeared on the outside of the device.

On the screen in front of Zuo TingYi, the parameters were constantly changing.  Zuo TingYi was paying full attention to these ever-changing numbers.  The meaning of these numbers was something incredibly familiar to him.  From the beginning until now, there hadn't been any abnormalities.

The numbers started to slow down.  It was as if there were drum beats inside of Zuo TingYi's chest.  From his experiences, he knew that the analyzing device had probed to the structure's parts that he couldn't understand.

He didn't dare to blink, as he was afraid to miss out on any details  He even that felt his mouth was getting dry.  However, he quickly realized his reactions and couldn't help but laugh at himself.  He didn't expect that he would have got this nervous just because of a level one Illusory Card. How ridiculous! He firmly restrained the drum beats in his chest, which were getting faster and faster, held his breath and stared at the screen.

Beep beep beep… countless of ear piercing warning sounds continuously echoed.

Not good, Zuo TingYi's facial expression had changed. He quickly rushed over to the analyzing device.

He was one step slower.  The Illusory Card on the analyzing device had already emitted blue smoke. Apparently, this Illusory Card was ruined.  He was afraid that the damages on its structure couldn't have been fixed anymore.

Suddenly, he could smell an entirely different burning fume.   He tilted his head only to see a thread of white smoke emanating from the crack inside of the analyzing device.

Zuo TingYi's face immediately darkened. (Poor you…)

Chen Mu looked at the pile of materials in front of him and couldn't help but feel an intensive sense of satisfaction.  How could he not feel satisfied? He had paid five hundred thousand Odi's for these materials. Everything he gained from the Movie Cards was all in here.  He returned to his poor self once again.

Among this pile of materials, some of them were the things he didn't even dare to think about before.  The prices of some of these materials could have really made people speechless.  Within the total five hundred thousand Odi, he might have put four hundred thousand in those.

The difficulty level of these twelve Cards was extremely high.  Chen Mu doubted

whether he could finish them or not.  Nonetheless, he didn't step back, but continued moving forward. He knew if he could have figured out the problems inside all of the twelve Cards, his Card Creating capacity would have leap several levels.

Unfortunately, there will be no chapter on Friday T^T
