Chapter 4: Who are you looking for?

“Sir, who are you looking for?” The moment he stepped into the building, he was stopped by the building’s security guard.

“Give me a minute, I need to check.” Lin Yi was impressed with the standard of the big cities. They even had security guards. But then again, even Er Gouzi is stronger than this guard.

Er Gouzi was Lin Yi’s childhood playmate. Er Gouzi may not know martial arts, but he was very strong.  He could even kill a bull with a single punch. In the eyes of Lin Yi, the security guard could not be compared to Er Gouzi, or even the bull.

Lin Yi fished out a piece of paper from his pocket, took a glance at it and replied: “I am looking for Chu Peng Zhan.”

“Chu Peng Zhan? Who is that? Why does that name sound so familiar??” Murmured the guard.

“The President!!!” The older guard beside him reacted to the name. Apparently, he knew who Chu Peng Zhan was.  He quickly tugged on previous guard’s sleeve and said, “Watch what you say. If the leader heard that, you might get fired!”

“Ah!” The first guard was shocked when he heard what the older guard said. His eyes widened. He regretted what he just said and thought to himself, That’s just great! I don’t even know president’s name. To not know the name of the person I am supposed to protect, I really fail as a security guard.

However, when he noticed Lin Yi’s attire, he rolled his eyes and felt relief. One person was the President of one of the top 500 companies in the world, and the other was a worker from the country side. There was no way they knew each other.

Maybe this brat was from one of the construction sites and was here to file a complaint to the President? When the guard thought of this, he started to be more vigilant; the reason was he saw a movie two days prior called 15 Thousand Debt. In the movie, a worker approached the President and demanded money from him.

When he thought about the film, both security guards found themselves staring at each other. Apparently, both of them were thinking about the same thing.

“What business do you have with the President?” The old guard cleared his throat and stared at Lin Yi sternly. He was worried that Lin Yi would get violent.

“I am not the one that wants to look for him. My gramps was the one who told me to look for him.” Lin Yi replied lazily. He didn’t care who the client was. They were the ones who needed his help.

“Eh? Who is your Gramps?” When the two guard heard what Lin Yi said, they began to be more certain about their speculation that he was here to demand for money. The worker in the movie also claimed that he was looking for the President on his brother’s behalf.

“Well, let’s skip the pointless chatter. Tell me where he is or I will look for him myself!” Lin Yi did not want to waste his time talking with the guards. He wanted to the meet the client ASAP.

“The president is not present, please leave….” After glancing at Lin Yi once more, he was now very sure that Lin Yi didn’t know the President. Therefore, he decided to chase him away.

Lin Yi could not be bothered to entertain the guards anymore. He knew what they were thinking. They must be looking down on him because of his attire.

“Since he is not here, then I will just wait for him inside!” Snapped Lin Yi. Then he started walking towards the company.

“Stop there, you are not allowed to enter!!!” The two guards did not expect Lin Yi to force his way in, and they hurried to stop him.

At that very moment, the elevator’s door opened, a slightly stout middle-aged man and a somewhat dark and thin middle-aged man walked out of the elevator.

“It is about time, why has Xiao Yi still not contacted me yet… Li Fu, you should have already seen his photo right? Why don’t you drive to the train station to fetch him.” The slightly stout middle-aged man instructed the dark and thin middle-aged man.

“Affirmative, president Chu. I will get going.” Replied Li Fu respectfully.

Right before Li Fu left, Chu Peng Zhan frowned when heard the commotion at the entrance. He then instructed Li Fu: “Before you leave, have a look at what is happening.”

“What’s wrong?” As Li Fu walked towards the entrance, he saw two security guard trying to stop a young lad from entering the office building.

“Uncle Fu, this person claims that he’s here to see the President. He even tried to force his way in…..” Replied the security guards when they recognized Li Fu.

Li Fu might not have a proper position in the company, but he was the closest person to the president. If Li Fu had an official title it would be the President’s chauffeur.

Everyone in the company knew Li Fu was not merely a chauffeur. So that was the reason why the security guards treat him respectfully as a leader and not just as a chauffeur

Sometimes, Li Fu could even speak in behalf of the president.

“You…..” When Li Fu saw Lin Yi, he eyes widened in surprise and asked. “If I am not mistaken, are you Lin Yi?”

“I am.” Lin Yi looked at Li Fu and nodded his head. Ever since Li Fu appeared, Lin Yi had been observing him. Intuitively, Lin Yi was sure that this person was not Chu Peng Zhan. As the president of a company, it would be natural he would have a dignified vigor. But Li Fu did not have that. He may be solemn and was respected by others, but ones vigor does not change easily.

“Nice to meet you!” Li Fu knew exactly how much Chu Peng Zhan valued this young man. Without much delay, after he verified his identity, he reached out to shake Lin Yi’s hand. “I am the President’s secretary, Li Fu. I was about to go to the station to fetch you. We didn’t expect you to be already here.”

“It doesn’t matter. Just treat it as familiarizing myself with the road.” Lin Yi smiled and shook Li Fu’s hand. Lin Yi was that kind of person that would respect anyone as long as they respected him. But when Li Fu got too polite, Lin Yi got a bit embarrassed instead.

“The president is right over there. Please come this way. I will bring you to the meet President Chu,” Li Fu then respectfully led the way.

The two guards from before were now staring at Lin Yi’s back with their mouth wide open.

“He’s the President’s guest??” Murmured the security guard.

“Li Fu personally came down to guide him. It can’t be wrong!” The old guard sighed, “We almost offended him. Luckily Uncle Fu came before we threw him out, or else we would be in serious trouble”

While he was being guided by Li Fu, Lin Yi noticed the slightly stout middle-age man who was standing at a distance. If he was not wrong, that person was the person he was looking for, the President of the , Chu Peng Zhan.

“You must be Lin Yi?” When Chu Peng Zhan saw Li Fu and Lin Yi walking over, he hurried to greet him while stretching out his right hand.
