Prologue
The porky manager of the second group at M&S, a highly well-known marketing company in Busan, South Korea, slammed a few pages on Ara Choe's desk. His plump-cheeked face was red with anger, and he was shaking so much his hairpiece nearly fell off his head.
"This is completely unacceptable!" roared Shik Kim, pointing a stubby finger at Ara.
"What's wrong, Manager Kim?" asked Ara, moving a loose strand of dark hair behind her ear. She was a bright young woman, with big brown eyes, olive skin, and a bright smile. Everybody knew that they could count on Ara, as she was the best employee in the second group, if not the whole company, behind the CEO, Ji Baek.
"This!" he said, thwacking the papers he'd slammed on her desk. "You wrote this like a teenager!"
Ara looked at him, keeping a straight face. 'I bet you didn't even look at it,' she thought silently to herself, but she wasn't going to say that aloud. When Manager Kim was in a bad mood and you provoked him, he would quickly move to violence.
"I did? I'm sorry," said Ara. "I'll fix it."
She smiled at him, trying to look innocent.
He bought it.
"Have it done by the end of the day," he ordered.
"Of course," said Ara as she looked at her computer.
She continued silently working and her day when on as always - but little did she know that it would be her last day as Ara Choe, an ordinary office worker...
...who happened to adore fantasy-romance webnovels!
When she got home from work, she was instantly greeted by her little brother, 21-year-old Kwan. He looked almost exactly like his sister, except he was taller and his skin was a shade darker than her's. He went to the local university, trying to get a medical degree. He lived with his sister because neither could stand living with their mother, a cruel and strict woman who cared nothing for her children and loved money.
"Nuna, I just found a new Webnovel!" he told her. Then he thought about it for a moment. "Well, it just was completed today, but..."
"What's it called?" asked Ara, slightly interested.
