After the two of them ate their candlelight dinner, Gu Rushan returned to her bedroom. When she returned, she was shocked that Su Tao did not use the master bedroom, but the guest room.

The master bedroom was cleaned up, with the quilt in the closet. The linen was replaced, and Gu Rushan could tell that Su Tao had cleaned up her bedroom. From this small detail alone, she could tell that Su Tao was someone with detailed thoughts.

After Gu Rushan laid out the quilt, she stared at the chandelier on the ceiling with a blissful smile.

The candlelight dinner wasn't as romantic as shown on television, but Gu Rushan felt warm. Even all her grievance from the production team wasn't comparable to the blissfulness she felt now.

She had a comfortable sleep returning home until her phone rang the next morning. As she reached out for her phone, she looked at the caller ID. It was a call from her assistant. She picked up the phone and grumbled, “Haven't I tell you that I'm taking a break today? Don't bother me with work.”

“Big Sister Shanshan, Mr. Deng, had asked me to give you a call to bring you back to the production team.” The assistant smiled bitterly.

Gu Rushan did not tell anyone her experience in the production team. Even if her assistant were a sensible and obedient person, Gu Rushan wouldn't just share her feelings with anyone.

She would only share it with those she trusted.

Gu Rushan never imagined that the company would give her a call. Sitting up on her bed, Gu Rushan combed her hair with her hand and raged, “Have I not made myself clear? I'm not returning to the production team, and I'm going to take a few days off.”

“The production team gave the company pressure. They will pursue the company for penalty if you don't return today.” The assistant explained.

“Damn it!” Gu Rushan threw her phone. Despite her reluctance, she could only heed the company's instruction now that this matter blew up.

She changed her clothes and came out of her bedroom. Looking at the time, she guessed that Su Tao must have left. She went to the bathroom to wash up while cursing at the disgusting director.

When she came out, she saw a note on the dining table, “There's black congee in the rice cooker, with eggs and fried dough on the table. If you don't mind the trouble, there are steamed dumplings in the refrigerator. You can heat it with the rice cooker.”

All her unhappiness disappeared when she saw the note. She never expected that Su Tao would be someone so considerate.

Su Tao still maintained his habit of exercising in the morning. But knowing that Gu Rushan was home, he prepared breakfast as well. It might not be sumptuous, but Gu Rushan ate well. As she burped, she gave a call to Su Tao.

“What are you doing now?” Gu Rushan tried to sound as calm as possible.

“I'm at work. Oh, remember to eat breakfast at home! It's not good for your stomach if you keep skipping breakfast. Listen to me if you don't want to age faster.” Su Tao replied seriously.

“I'm mainly afraid of wasting food.” Gu Rushan didn't look concerned and continued, “I'm returning to the production team later. So I'm just calling you to bid farewell.”

“You're going back so fast?” Su Tao was somewhat surprised. Didn't they agree for Gu Rushan to put on airs and take a few days off?

“I can't help it. There are many things beyond my control.” Gu Rushan shrugged. “I'm a diligent bee, and I recovered after a short break.”

“What if that directors still harass you?” Su Tao sighed.

“Don't worry about it. I'll handle it well.” Gu Rushan suddenly felt sad with sourness in her nose, “Don't worry about me; I'll handle my work well.”

Gu Rushan then hung up the phone first. When Su Tao listened to the tone, he smiled bitterly, “What a worrying woman.”

After Gu Rushan ended the call, she started packing her clothes. She previously brought thin clothes when the weather was getting cold. So Gu Rushan packed a few thicker clothes because she had to shoot outside. As the main actress, she had to ensure that she kept herself warm. After all, the shooting would be affected if she fell sick, and the director might use that as an excuse to harass her again.

Gu Rushan was now famous, and she had to ensure that she disguised herself when going out. She wore a mask, sunglasses, and a baseball cap. When she came out, her assistant was waiting downstairs. She immediately opened the door, “The air tickets are prepared, and the plane will take off half an hour from now. So we have to hurry up.”

Gu Rushan nodded her head without any complaints. Although she had complained with Su Tao about her work, she was a woman who wouldn't be beaten down easily.

Nearly three hours later, Gu Rushan arrived at the filming ground, which the production team has been busy. Although the main actress wasn't around, they still took the time to shoot the other scenes first.

When Gu Rushan entered with her head lowered, the director yelled 'cut' before getting everyone to rest. He then walked towards Gu Rushan.

“Rushan, come with me.” The director's tone was cold, which sounded like he was furious.

Gu Rushan felt a little helpless. She had violated the rules by leaving without informing the production team yesterday, so the director had all reasons to punish her.

Entering a small room with the director, the director lit up a cigarette and took a deep breath, “I apologize for my rude actions previously. Everyone would yearn for beauty, and I've never seen anyone like you over my directing years. But since you don't like it, then I will ensure that I will not harass you.”

Gu Rushan was surprised by the director's words. She was expecting the director to yell at her, but what was going on? Was the director apologizing to her?

When the director saw that Gu Rushan wasn't replying, he misunderstood that she was still furious at him. With a bitter smile, he continued, “I'm sorry for that. So please forgive me.”

Gu Rushan was even more baffled by his words. It sounded like she held something against the director. She immediately realized that there must be a story behind this matter. Could the director be given a hard time, and he misunderstood that she did it?

“Let it pass then.” She coughed.

Letting out a breath of relief, the director smiled, “Can you let the sponsor know that this is all a misunderstanding between us?”

The director felt dejected. He only kept giving her hints because he had a favorable impression about her. But he never imagined that Gu Rushan would respond to it so violently and leave the production team to complain with the sponsor.

Gu Rushan finally knew what was going on, and she could also roughly guess the reason behind it. She had only complained about the director's harassment to Su Tao, and it must be Su Tao who helped her.

Letting out a sigh inwardly, Gu Rushan knew that she owed Su Tao another one.

After she finished shooting a scene, Gu Rushan took her phone from her assistant and sent Su Tao a message, “The director had changed his attitude with me completely. Are you behind this?”

A few minutes later, she received a reply from Su Tao, “I gave a call to my friend and told him that my girl was being bullied. So I got him to teach some blind idiot a lesson. It looks like my friend is pretty efficient!”

“What girl?! Don't put it that way!” Gu Rushan smiled. It was fine if a hoodlum spoke in this manner, but Su Tao was a renowned Divine Physician. She couldn't imagine something like this coming from him.

Then again, she knew that Su Tao was teasing her on purpose. He was occasionally humorous.

“If you encounter everything, just report my name. And look for me if it's too much for you to handle. I'll take care of you for the rest of your life.” Su Tao sent another message over.

His message was simple yet overbearing!

Looking at the message, Gu Rushan suddenly felt her nose becoming sour with tears brimming in her eyes. She secretly wiped her eyes before giving her phone to her assistant.

The next scene was an emotional one, which Gu Rushan tried her best to recall how touched she was by Su Tao's message and easily made it through.

Looking at Gu Rushan's performance, the director was surprised and sighed inwardly. Not only did Gu Rushan had a terrifying backing, but her acting was professional. He could tell that Gu Rushan had limitless prospects, and it was wise if he didn't provoke her.

Su Tao took the time to send Ye Sheng a message. He had gotten Ye Sheng's help in this matter.

It would be faster if Su Tao let Ni Jingqiu know about it. But he felt that it was best if he avoided Ni Jingiqu about this matter.

Ni Jingqiu was also a woman, and even if she had a good relationship with Gu Rushan, the scheme and fight between women in the dark were terrifying. So it was best if he tried to get the two of them to maintain some distance apart.
