Su Yan was surprised. How did he do that? Could he see through a needle?

“Who is this guy? He just gives out an air so formidable. Not a teacher of the college, then he must be some overmatch outside the school. Though only in his twenties, he is much more powerful than Jia De. Is he one of the mighties of the human society?”

Though young, 20 years old or so, the man in silver robe looked terrifyingly powerful. He looked down on Su Yan in a condescending manner like a god overlooking a beggar, exhibiting an air of a lonely mighty seeking for a rival.

Jia De looked desperate when he got a clear view of the man crawling out of the artificial lake. Why the hell was this trash here? Were there not enough jokes today?

“Su Yan!” Red in the face, Gao Yan wondered, “Was it him who played the joke?”

“Eh…Mr. Jia, why are you here?”

Putting on a show of surprise, Su Yan said, “Are you all here for a shower, too? It’s cool here, would you like to join me?”

The faces of all the teachers from the Frozen College got blackened. Didn’t he know what day it was? Didn't he know where all these people come from? Showering here? Tomorrow's headline was sure to be a bunch of old men from the higher academy, doing only god knows what with their white butts!

“You shut up! I’ll sort you out later.”

Jia De’s face turned blue out of wrath. Infuriated by Su Yan for the last few days, he had been thinking hard to expel Su Yan even this morning. Now he made a blunder again in front of all the teachers from the higher academy!

But now, no matter how angry Jia De was, he had to keep it down. Nodding and bowing obsequiously and apologetically to the teachers from the higher academy, he said, “Please excuse his impropriety. He is also one of our students. We have booked seats at Jufeng Chamber, shall we go there now?”

Several elder teachers smiled in approval, having no intention to further discomfit Jia De.

Just as they were about to leave, the man still overlooking Su Yan said, “Wait a minute.”

Jia De and the rest of the teachers were in a bit of a daze.

Looking insufferably arrogant, the young man in silver robe commanded, “Come over here!”

Su Yan frowned, distasting his tone and his arrogance. Who the hell was this cocky guy?

“Who are you? I don’t think we have a teacher like you.” Su Yan said out of aversion.

“Don’t be presumptuous!” Like a tiger being trampled on its tail, Jia De roared ragefully, “Su Yan, come here right now! This is Tao Tianhua from Huaxia College.”

“Tao Tianhua!” Hearing that, even the supercilious Gao Hua nearly fell to the ground out of surprise. He looked admiringly at Tao Tianhua, who was the “God’s favored one” in Huaxia College!

This adoring gaze from Gao Hua did please Tao Tianhua. Hands behind his back, he put on a majestic air and an aloof expression.

He was highly regarded by Warlord Zu Yan! Now that his identity was pointed out, he immediately put on airs and waited for Su Yan’s worshipping without even looking at him. He knew the students well, all esteeming him as a god.

“Tao Tianhua? Never heard of it.” Pondering for a while, Su Yan still didn’t figure out who he was.

Jia De now was so angry that he wanted to skin Su Yan alive. This trash didn’t know of Tao Tianhua!

Tao Tianhua’s expression altered. There was an actual human being who didn’t know of him? Be it a hundred years ago, he would be a superstar. And now there was a young man who didn’t know of his name?!

“Mr. Tao, please do not take it to heart. Su Yan is lunatic and skips classes frequently. I’m still wondering how to expel him. This is really a joke.” Jia De fawned on with a servile look.

“Master Tianye, I can testify that Su Yan is indeed a lunatic and even the top loser of our college. He is not even qualified to talk to you.” Walking over, Gao Hua also flattered to the point of kneeling down.

Tao Tianhua sneered with a sullen look, “Indeed he is not qualified, but what he hides is. Boy, some treasures are just not yours to keep. Hand it over now!”

Treasure? What treasure?

Jia De and all the others were confused. How could Su Yan have something that Tao Tianhua valued?

Su Yan was startled. Did Tao Tianhua sense the treasure he was hiding? But to him, it was a matter of life and death, how could he just give it away?

But judging from his tone, Tao Tianhua just took it for granted.

Su Yan was furious.

Tao Tianhua was way much haughtier than the Kim Jong-un about a hundred years ago.

“Su Yan, did you steal anything from Tao Tianhua?” Jia De said with a sullen look, “If you did, hand it over now!”

A trash vs. Tao Tianhua, who should he help? Jia De got the answer even without thinking.

“What? I took his treasure? This is really outrageous!” Eyes bulging with anger, Su Yan retorted with a purple face, “Even I have mountains of gold and silver, they won’t come from you! Wanna rob it blatantly? Don’t you forget where you are!”

The elders from the higher academy all wondered what Su Yan got. But Tao Tianhua dared not to mess around. Fighting was strictly prohibited in all bases, let alone in college. If leaked out, Tao Tianhua would not meet a good end.

“How dare you!” Tao Tianhua narrowed his eyes, which now were filled with horrifying killing intent that nearly made his eyes burn with silvery flames.

He was furious as even the core members of Huaxia College dared not to defy him, let alone a nobody like Su Yan.

“Oh my! He is a real talented chemist from Huaxia College!”

Gao Hua trembled uncontrollably out of fright, feeling that Tao Tianhua could burn him to ashes.

“Su Yan, don’t be so presumptuous!”

Jia De got so outraged that he headed straight to Su Yan, pointed at him and roared, “How dare you disobey Tao Tianhua! How come a pauper like you own anything precious? You must have stolen the treasure from Tao Tianhua. Now hand it in before it’s too late!”

“What an experience!” Su Yan got so furious that he sneered, “You, as a teacher of this college, confuse right and wrong and slander me. Where the hell is your decency?”

“You!” Pointing at Su Yan, Jia De got so rageful that his fingers trembled, his hairs blew up, and his face turned purple. He roared, “How dare you insult me! You’re done! Ruined! You’re in big trouble. And there is no future for you!”

Gao Hua nearly laughed out. Su Yan was really ridiculous. How dare he defy Tao Tianhua!

Some of the elders frowned hearing the overly serious words. But they dared not to refute due to Tao Tianhua’s identity.

“You!” Su Yan was overwhelmed with extreme anger that nearly burned and burst, his clenched fists trembling.

“You what?” Jia De laughed, “Still staring at me? How dare you, a moth in this school, insult your teacher! I’m telling you, you’re ruined with no future.”

Having been bothered by how to get Su Yan expelled, Jia De would never let go of such a great chance.

“Haha…no future! Learning from a teacher like you would indeed leave me no future!” Eyes bulging, Su Yan laughed out of wrath and left, making Jia De resentful with a sullen face.

All these teachers from the higher academy wanted to laugh but had to resist it as they could sense Tao Tianhua’s extreme anger.

Tao Tianhua was the most famous “God’s favored one” in Huaxia, wining countless girls’ hearts with his demeanor. No one ever dared to defy him!

But today, Su Yan did not show any respect to him!

Tao Tianhua sensed it clearly that Su Yan was hiding a stone, a priceless essence stone. He had one before, so he was sure the stone Su Yan had was way much bigger and could never be measured with money.

“Let’s see how many days you can live.” Looking like he was dominating Su Yan’s fate, Tao Tianhua gazed coldly at Jia De and said, “You, follow me.”

Jia De shuddered. Nodding and stooping behind Tao Tianhua, he smiled apologetically, “Please do not be angry. He is a trash and doesn’t worth your attention.”

“You really think I’d get angry with a beggar?” Eyes shooting chilling gazes, Tao Tianhua said, “Tell me who he is. Be quick and brief. I have no time to waste.”

Eyes lighting up, Jia De explained everything adding highly colored details, shaping Su Yan as a useless trash.

“If so, why don’t you just expel him?” Tao Tianhua got confused, and more rageful. How dare a trash disobey him!

“You may not know it. Su Yan was the first awoken, and the first core member nominated by the dean. I do not have the right to expel him. Even to just kick him out of the class would require the dean’s approval.” Jia De explained hurriedly.

Tao Tianhua was a bit surprised. Not many people knew the identity of the dean, but he knew it well that she was one of the top ten overmatches surviving the doomsday.

“Interesting.” Tao Tianhua said coldly, “I’ll get him out of your class. I’ve heard that you have been teaching here for over twenty years. But it seems that you don’t have much chance of promotion.”

“I’m willing to go through hell for your excellency.” Shocked at Tao Tianhua’s implication, Jia De’s whole body shook with agitation and almost fell to the ground. How could he not get the hint! This was such a great opportunity.

To serve a talent like Tao Tianhua was something countless people would die for, let alone Jia De who had always wanted to join the higher academy. For this moment, he regarded Tao Tianhua as a real god who changed his fate.

“No need to go through hell.” Enjoying the admiring gaze, Tao Tianhua smiled out of joy and said casually, “If you can complete the task I give you, I’ll let you enter a higher academy. And if it’s excellently done, even Huaxia College is possible.”

“Huaxia College!” Jia De shook uncontrollably with excitement. He now took Tao Tianhua’s orders as imperial edict, thinking it super easy to deal with a trash not valued by the college.

It was deep at night, serene and quiet.

Su Yan got back to his dorm. Looking in the mirror, he saw the remaining anger on his 17 or 18-year-old delicate face. He sneered, “You do not have the right to be angry. You do not worth a penny for the college. Not a teacher is willing to talk in your favor. The treasure is not yours to keep. And you don’t worth a shit in this society!!!”

He now still couldn’t get the cheeky face of Jia De out of his mind.

Were it a hundred years ago, Su Yan would have been frightened to death for not being able to graduate, his parents grieving and his future being bleak.

“Now in this world, I’m alone. And it’s so absurd for a teacher like you to say that I would have no future.” Su Yan clenched his fists tight with doom in his eyes.

“Don't attack me; if you do I will pay you back. Now you son of a bitch humiliated me right in my face, but I just cannot fight back.”

“Shame on you!”

Su Yan now got indignant as Jia De’s words really pissed him off. And Tao Tianhua, who acted like someone dominating his fate, agitated him even more.

But it was all because he was weak.

Su Yan took out the essence stone and now had a clearer idea of its significance, or else Tao Tianhua wouldn’t try to rob it publicly.

Su Yan sat cross-legged on bed. He now was weak like an ant, and only through cultivation could he get stronger and control his own fate.

“I’ll remember this day forever!”

Su Yan closed his eyes and took a deep breath to ease his emotion.

The night fell and elapsed.

When morning came, all his muscles roared as if breaking free from manacles, glistening brilliant beams of light.

And the turbulent air spurting out of his pores nearly crack the windows.
