Chapter 86 Golem Mountain Range

Several hours after departing from Forx,

Risa and I had travelled halfway to Golem Mountain Range. I probably would have already arrived at Golem Mountain range, if I was travelling alone, but this time Risa has come along, and so our travelling speed has been reduced drastically so we are still not there yet. But still at this pace we will arrive at the Golem Mountain range by the end of today.

Ok, I guess I can’t keep running like this, since it would be much harder for Risa. If it was Iguru or Marubuta in her place then I would have ran all the way without any problems, but Risa is different from those two. She is not an adventurer but a Regular Ordinary person. I guess we should take a break right about now.

While thinking so I stopped, and we took a break.

Then, while I was having lunch with Risa, Risa had unexpectedly turned away from me, No matter which way you looked at it her mood was quite bad indeed, even when I spoke to her, tensing up was her only response.

Hmm, she seems to be really upset. Certainly it was wrong of me to have suddenly held her in a princess carry. I should have sought her consent before I did so. Ok, it’s best for me to apologize right now.

“Hey Risa, won’t you please stop being angry already? It certainly was very rude of me to have suddenly held you in a princess carry. It was wrong of me, Please forgive me!”

I apologized to Risa while lowering my head.

It was common sense to apologize when you know you did something bad.

Risa finished speaking and was slowly turning red; I was still able to see her turning red even though her head was down.

Soon after eating Lunch, when Risa had rested for a bit she seemed to have finally returned to her original condition.

“That reminds me, No matter how I look at it your physical capability is amazing Yuma”

“Really?”

“That’s right. It’s impossible to run at such speeds while holding a person the whole stretch. Yuma, you don’t have any Ability-UP Magic items on you right? ”

Ho~, there are even those kinds of things in the Magic item category.

“Aa, this is the first time I’m hearing such a thing exists. Are they also available in Risa’s store?”

When Risa heard that, she shook her head,

“They are not yet available in my shop as of now. Magic items which have the enchantment to Give Ability-UP are extremely valuable, so there are not many people who can sell them, and the Ore’s and materials required are very precious as well…”

“Is that so, that’s a little disappointing but it can’t be helped.”

If it’s not available in Risa’s shop then it will probably be impossible for me to obtain it for the time being. Well~ I could always try searching for one if I am ever in another city.

After taking a break for a dozen or so minutes, I then started to run towards the Golem Mountains again. It was much easier for Risa since it was her second time. Her face did not turn red anymore, and she hung on to me firmly. But,

“Hyaa~, Amazing Yuma-kun! This is my first time going so fast!”

That’s right, she started to speak while I was running fast. Although it was at a much slower pace than when I was carrying Iguru or Marubuta, since Risa was much livelier I let it be. Well~ anyways,

“Risa, it’s better not to talk while I am still running. It would be dangerous if you were to bite your tongue”

“Nn, understood. Then I shall look at the scenery then”

Fuu, you really have a courageous heart.

Then, I kept running for a few more hours and we finally arrived at the destination.

Alright, so this is the Golem Mountain Range. Fumu, I thought that the Mountain would be really huge since this was another world, but it seems smaller than I thought. It is definitely smaller than Mount Everest that I saw on television at least. I heard Risa’s voice when I was thinking that,

“Yuma-kun, can you let me get down now?”

Ah, oops I forgot about Risa.
I quickly rushed to let Risa down from my arms.

“Thank you Yuma-kun. But, it really only took us less than a day to get here.”

“Wasn’t what I told you correct after all?”

“Fu fu, that’s right. It was very embarrassing at first, but I got used to it after a while”

Hmm, you got used to it. As I thought she is quite courageous. Iguru and Marubuta should learn a thing or two from her.

“Then that’s good. Ok, what should we do now?”

After a look at the sky, it was probably around 2 pm so there was quite some time left. If it was just me alone then I would have gone in search of it, but Risa was with me. If Risa is tired by any chance then we should camp for the night and then head out tomorrow in the early morning. Well what shall we do now.

“That’s right. It seems it’s around 2 pm right now so there is quite a lot of time left for the sun to set, so I guess we should go look for some Ars Ore”

Risa seems to be completely fine.

“Understood. Then shall we”

And so, Risa and I went into the Golem Mountain Range.

While we were walking along the mountain path, I noticed that I had forgotten something important.

“Risa, I forgot to ask you about this but how does this Ars Ore look like again?”

“Ah, come to think of it I didn’t tell you yet. Um Ars Ore is about this big and has a blue tinge, since it only has a single color it is really amazing to look at.”

Indeed, it seems that its appearance is quite distinct.

After that, while talking with Risa, we continued to climb the Golem Mountains range. Naturally, although I was talking to Risa, I had not let my guard down the entire time. A few minutes had passed again; when there was movement tens of meters in front of me.

Risa and I moved further into the mountains.

There was quite a lot of Ars ore over there and three Golem Like monsters were guarding them.

“Risa, wait here for a bit. I’ll go take them down”

Saying so, I left Risa where she was and jumped out.
I did not feel too worried about leaving Risa there unguarded.
And soon, I reached the back of one of the 3 golems,

“First attack. Fireball!!”

My fireball hit the back of one of the 3 golems splendidly,

“Goooooooooo~”

With that single blow, the golem was broken into pieces which further crumbled away.

I did hear that it was quite weak to magic, but this is too weak! Then, the two golems who hadn’t yet noticed me looked in my direction, and ran towards me while screaming.

O, slow, too slow…..

Perhaps the golems thought that they were running but to my eyes it was no different to slow motion. Haa~, these monsters are really a little too weak. Ah now I understand why Minarisu-san said that it would be fine as long as I knew magic.

“You guys just forget it. Fireball, Fireball”

I shot the fireballs towards the remaining Golems who were trying to run and took care of them properly, finishing the battle. Fuu~, truly this battle was just too fast. Ahh forget it. Moreover right now,

Loads of Ars Ore, got ‘em.
