Yano Takashi (矢野 隆)
won the Shōsetsu Subaru Rookie of the Year award with “Jashū” in 2008. He wrote a great number of books as an expert on historical plays. He wrote the novels “Naruto – Shikamaru hiden”, and the comic “Assassin’s Creed 4” among other things, and he’s spreading his field of activity.
NOTES:
*Bright light also with the meaning of ‘hope, bright future’.
**Uhh there’s a part I don’t understand, because apparently arishi is an outdated form of the verb aru (to be/live/exist), but aru is used with inanimate objects… I’ve seen another translation of the chapters, but apparently they didn’t translate arishi at all… *shrugs*
***I like this expression so much, in Japanese it’s literally “black as the wet feathers of a crow”.
So, here’s my little preview… The cover (which I had to remove, seeing what had become of Sasuke’s Shinden’s one, which got all ruined – especially because initially I kept opening it on the wrong side) is now widely known, while the book in itself has manga panels of Itachi throwing shurikens and some writings (which I began translating, but since I discovered they are words Danzou says to Itachi at some point of the novel, there’s no point I continued, you’ll read it anyway sometime).
The very first page it that infamous picture of Itachi and Shisui, and since I’ve already seen a lot of good pictures of it I’m not gonna bother scanning it (also, considering the amount of time it took me for scanning that damn characters page… ugh).
Like for Sasuke Shinden, I’ll keep this page updated with the translations as I complete the sections.I’ll try to be a good translator and post 1.1 this saturday, but I can’t promise anything…
