Both the male and female pageants were held at the same time. 

Of course, I didn’t have the slightest interest in the men’s category where the hero would appear in, so I only watched the women’s one, but somehow, it felt like the hero and his group were hiding something.

No matter what Kyousuke said, his facial expression remained unchanged. 

Although I’ve known him for much longer than the others, I had no idea what he was thinking. 

However, they were easy to read.

Especially Ueno and Waki, because the closer it came to start of the pageant, the more restless they got.

「Then, it’s about time for me to go.」

It seems that the male category was in a somewhat far off and secluded place.

It was originally unpopular, and the guys there were generally after the prize as well.

Even the pageant broadcasts would focus primarily on the women’s side.

It seems that Waki, Nanase, and Tsuda were going to cheer him on, as they followed after him.

The girls and Kyousuke saw the four people off.

As soon as I thought that, all eyes turned towards the entrance.

「Like I said!!! I am Rusty! I told you I’m a demon! I came here to participate in the pageant!!」

A girl wearing a hood was yelling something at the entrance. 

I heard the words spat out so loudly, processed them in my mind, and stiffened.

「…demon?」

So boldly??

When I looked at Yoru who was on Amelia’s shoulder, his jaw had dropped and he was stiff.

Unaware of the reactions of those around her, the girl raised her violet eyes from under her hood and lifted her hand towards the sky.

That gesture was somewhat childish.

「What’s with that!! Humans and beastmen are both here, and the elven princess is over there, but you choose to exclude me, the demon!? That’s discrimination!」

Otousan said that discrimination was wrong!

She hounded the supervisor who was much sweatier than before.

「U, umm….」

The eyes of the sweaty man who was nervously looking around, met mine. 

I was wondering why he was asking for help even though he was the supervisor, but even if he were to ask the other staff, they would be equally as clueless. 

「Yoru, we’re going.」

『Ah, Master-dono?』

I grabbed Yoru by his scruff and walked towards the entrance.

When I looked closely, the supervisor was a rabbit-beastman.

I thought that it was just his white hair, but it seems that it was not his hair, but a pair of white ears that were dangling on the sides of his head. 

Rabbits were thought to be timid, but he did well to become the supervisor.

Looking at him from behind, I could see his white tail trembling.

…the bunny ears on a fat man…there was absolutely no demand for it.

「Is something wrong?」

I called out to them as I carried Yoru in my hand.

The rabbit’s eyes seemed to be shining.

「Nee, do you think that a demon can’t participate in it?? If you’re going to say that, then I will give up on it.」

Before the rabbit could say anything, the hooded demon grabbed my free hand and said this.

Because it was at point-blank range, I caught a glimpse of her chest which seemed to be bigger than Amelia’s.

I could feel Amelia emitting her killing intent from behind me.

「…isn’t it fine?」

I averted my eyes from her chest as I said that, and the hooded demon was quite pleased. 

Next to me, the rabbit’s eyes widened.

「Ho, however! This would be the first time a demon has ever participated in this pageant….」

「It will be the precedent. …besides, if it’s someone like her, I can restrain her if she turns violent.」

There was no reaction from the skill『Threat Detection』, and the magic power she’s emitting was at a level that civilians could withstand as well.

In the unlikely event that she turned violent, even if she was skillfully concealing her abilities, she’s probably not stronger than Mahiro, so I’ll just have Kurou do something about it.

「I-if it does happen, I am unable to take responsibility for it….」

The rabbit said this and withdrew.

「So, you’ll go with me. Ok?」

The eyes of the hooded demon were sparkling and she nodded.

Her aura was completely different from Aulum Trace and Mahiro Abe’s, and I tilted my head in confusion, wondering if she was really a demon.

Her childishness was just like Aulum’s, but she was not cruel. 

「Of, of course! …huh–? This cat looks very familiar though.」

She finally noticed Yoru whom I was carrying in my arms.

『…it, it’s been a long time. Latisneil-sama.』

TN: I spent more time on her name than I should. Her name can be divided into two words, which ‘lattice’ and ‘nail’, so if we translate it this way, then her name would be ‘Latticenail’ but I really don’t want to do that, so after much brainstorming, this is what I have come up with. And the “Rusty’ in the beginning, that should be her fake name or something.
