"How come your name is so ancient...not cute?" Cheng FanFan the gossip queen eagerly asked.

"My mother didn't read many books." Xiao Mao wistfully scratched his head with a face of helplessness "She said that my eyes were like a cat's so she named me Xiao Mao, but I grew up in China so it's fine to just call me Xiao Mao"

**(It said that in the raws but it basically means uneducated)**

"The girl you just hugged is called Lin XiaoMiao, her name really makes it sound like as if she's your sister" A girl said "Xiao Miao and Xiao Mao, both are cats."

**(Miao is the the chinese version of Meow and Mao means cat in chinese)**

"That's such a coincidence, we must have some chemistry" Xiao Mao looked towards me and once again joked but I couldn't feel any joking tone in that.

Cheng FanFan also joined in and joked "You only hugged her but didn't hug us, how unfair is that, is it because we aren't pretty enough"

"How could that be it!" Xiao Mao raised his hands in surrender "It's just that she looks just like someone important to me, that's all"

"Who? Your girlfriend?" The gossiping soul of everyone there passionately ignited.

"No, you all guessed incorrectly, it's my mother" Xiao Mao cheekily looked around at everyone's expression after being tricked.

All the girls observed my face and shamelessly said "Your father must be handsome, you take after him"

I thought for a bit then said "There are quite a few houses near the school that I could take you to take a look... but if you don't mind, there's a single room below where I stay that's pretty cheap"

"Then I'll go there" Xiao Mao seemed to have been waiting for me to say that and without caring about the eyes of others, he dragged me away.

"The rental fee for that single room is four hundred yen" It can only accommodate one bed, one small cabinet, and a computer desk, hot water is available, but there's no air conditioning so it'll be hot in summer and you will have to go to the sixth floor to hang the clothes to dry. A lot of girls from outside the university come here just to get a glimpse of the famous legendary perfect gentleman that seemed to have popped out from a romance novel. All of a sudden the school was filled with love-filled pink bubbles that burst in the air.

Due to this, Xiao Yu was regretful that it was not her who picked up the freshmen that day, she was about to renege on her promise about the squid but finally abided by her promise under the threat of violence. (T/N: Miao Miao is still as violent as ever, Lol)

Xiao Mao's love towards me was out in the open, making others envious. Every day after school, he would wait outside my classroom, no matter how long the wait, to walk back together and helped me carry my things on the way. He completed all my requests and even took the initiative to go get me all sorts of fish...When I cook it for him, no matter how disgusting it is, he always finishes all of it, then once we finished eating he even helps me to wash the dishes.
