The result of that puzzling conversation seemed to be that Narae agreed to be in the video. I wasn’t fully clear on why she agreed, but I was too scared to press her on the matter. That’s right. I shouldn’t question positive developments like this. After they returned to normal, I asked Narae and Jeongmi-nuna something I was curious about.

“But Nuna. I have no idea what you mean by a lovey-dovey video. Please tell me.”

Jeongmi-nuna, now visibly gloomy, nodded her head and spoke.

“You’re really motivated, aren’t you? Are you glad that you get to be in a video like this with Narae?”

“Of course. There’s no way I’d let up a chance like this.”

I’d have to be the biggest idiot on the planet to not agree to Ungnyeo’s proposal when she, the biggest danger to Rangii, is offering to leave Rangii in peace. The best course of action was to follow Ungnyeo’s demand. But the thing was…the combined of the three women sitting around the table were painful.

“I see you wish to release your pent up adolescent sexual desire.”

“You’re more of a perv than I thought.”

“Y-Y-Y-You! Just what are you planning on doing to me?!”

Be prepared, my head. I’ll have to be at my most clever to survive. But why do I feel like my life is in danger right now?! When Narae made contact with my side with her index finger and thumb, I realized how what I said must have sounded to them.

“No wait, this is a misunderstanding! That’s not what I meeeant!!”

“Yeah right, you pervert! How come your thoughts always end up like that?!”

I was unable to reply as I wanted by saying, ‘I really wasn’t thinking anything like that,’ because I was screaming as Narae pinched my side so hard that I felt as though my flesh were about to be ripped off. I wiped away my tears with my sleeve and gave an excuse.

“I meant that if this will cause Ungnyeo to leave us alone, then I’ll gladly go along with something like this.”

I was becoming more and more pathetic as I was becoming so used to speaking with honorifics to my childhood friend. (tn: In the previous piece of dialogue, Sunghoon uses honorifics)

“Something like this? D-Do you seriously have no idea how big a deal this is for me?”

I responded seriously,

“I do not.”

Narae’s hand dealt me punishment.

“You doofus! Unni just told you! Lovey-dovey! A lovey-dovey video!!”

I put my finger on my chin, tilted my head to the side, and blinked at what Narae said. Narae let loose her fist on my solar plexus after my imitation of Rangii.

“Gyagh!”

“Don’t act cute! That’s creepy!”

I came to realization as I rolled on the ground while cradling my torso. There were times to joke around and times not to. And now was the time for the latter.

“Why not? It was cute.”

“Unni!”

Jeongmi-nuna shrugged her shoulders at Narae’s sharp reproach.

“You’re overreacting. If you’re not careful, he may end up hating you.”

“As if I care.”

Narae’s immediate reply cut at my heart like a knife. Will I really be able to survive today? I was beginning to miss Chii, who left abruptly this morning. I wonder when she’ll visit again. When I see her again, I’ll hug her and rub her cheeks without a single precursory word.

Having recovered both my mental and physical wellbeing with these thoughts of Chii, I once again asked Jeongmi-nuna a question.

“What do you mean by a lovey-dovey video?”

“Hm…the things you normally do with the Tiger-nim, I guess?”

…Saehee’s rumors are still ruining my life, I see.

“If you’re referring to those rumors about me, then…”

Jeongmi-nuna waved her hand dismissively before I could finish my sentence.

“Don’t insult me. Such as I am, I am still the chief of the Bear Clan. Do you really think I wouldn’t know the truth of how you two get along?”

“Then why are you asking me to act like normal despite that?”

“You seriously don’t know? How lovey-dovey your actions are when viewed by someone else?”

Huh? Really? And how would you know this much? Jeongmi-nuna smiled with her eyes at my dumbfounded face.

“Then I’ll give you a quick demonstration of how you two normally act.”

Wait. Did she mean she was going to do this demonstration with me as well? I’ll probably have hell to pay for this later, but…please go ahead, please!

“Narae, come over here for a bit.”

My disappointment matched my excitement.

“Why?”

“Just for a bit.”

“…I’d rather not.”

Narae refused with a frown. Jeongmi-nuna, as if knowing that Narae would refuse, smiled mischievously and spoke.

“Would you rather I tell Sunghoon what I saw in your house?”

Narae’s face turned bright red after what Jeongmi-nuna said.

“Th-That’s unfair! I’m going, I’m going!”

Narae bolted up from her seat.

For real?! Jeongmi-nuna knows a secret so important that she can force Narae into doing things like this?! Um, would it be possible for you to tell me what that secret is? Because if you did, then I could probably stop getting hit so often and survive. While I was preoccupied with these idiotic thoughts, Jeongmi-nuna whispered something into Narae’s ear.

And I then arrived in paradise.

Narae, her face bright red, sat on Jeongmi-nuna’s lap, and just Narae sitting squarely on top of Jeongmi-nuna was enough to take my breath away.

“Wh-What’re you staring for?”

Even Narae’s rebuke wasn’t enough to make me take my eyes off her. While being embraced by Jeongmi-nuna, Narae wrapped one arm around her neck. As if they truly were lovers. Yeah. Jeongmi-nuna and Narae were sharing a true embrace. And what was so unusual about this, you ask?

I’ll start with a single problem. Narae and Jeongmi-nuna are members of the Bear Clan. I suspected that the Bear Clan had a variety of special characteristics, but the most prominent among them—and I’m not saying this just because I’m a man—was their huge breasts. The women in the Bear Clan who awakened their powers were all D cup or higher. Narae was likely still a C cup, but there was no way her breasts could be considered small. And Jeongmi-nuna’s were the largest I’d ever seen with my own eyes in my entire life. They were on par with the assets of models I’d seen in videos or magazines. You can probably guess what kind of videos and magazines I’m talking about without me even telling you. Everyone, at least once in their life, must have seen what I’m talking about. Regardless, those two were cuddling against each other right in front of me. And what do you think happened next?

I’ll explain in more detail. Imagine I had two sizable water balloons in both my hands. Them imagine I pushed the two of them against each other.

That’s right. You understand now? Something like that was happening right before my eyes. My imagination was growing hotter and hotter by the moment, like a brush fire in the middle of summer. It was unstoppable. My thoughts were like a Formula One car, speeding towards the horizon without any hint of stopping.

But there really was no helping myself. This much was obvious. That was simply how overwhelming the scene before my very eyes was. I was so overwhelmed that I didn’t even notice the change happening to my body as my eyes devoured that scene from some fantasy land, from paradise, wonderland, or perhaps heaven. Just as the freedom fighters for South Korea, locked up in their cells, must have done when they heard that South Korea was liberated, and just as peasants, suffering from a seemingly endless drought, must have done when they felt the first few drops of a desperately needed rain, I was nearly brought to tears at this miracle; one that, if I merely reached out with my hand, I could touch for myself. I was grateful to be alive. Overtaken with happiness to have lived until now. I was born for this moment, to experience this sight.

Narae’s embarrassed struggle to remove herself from Jeongmi-nuna’s arms, and Jeongmi-nuna’s refusal to allow Narae to move even an inch away from her, caused that glimpse of a beautiful world to shift, not even leaving me a moment to catch my breath as their vibrant, pulsating movements caused the entire scene to evolve. Engrossed by this scene, one more splendid than even the birth of the universe, I was unable to look away.

“This is basically what you normally do. If you’re still unsure of the concept, I can keep going.”

All my blood was going to a particular head rather than the other when I said,

“I guess I could still use some help. Please continue your demonstration.”

“Sunghoon!!”

I was unafraid of Narae’s anger-filled voice. Backing off here would truly have made me human trash. Scum. A lolicon. Even if I were to face death, I couldn’t back off. All of us are bound to die regardless. So, before these eyes of mine close for the final time, I will fill them with beauty.

“Is that so?”

Jeongmi-nuna, with a wide smile on her blushing face, put a bit more force into her arms, bring Narae’s chest even closer to her own! The closer and closer the two of them became, my eyes became proportionally larger as well.

“W-Wait, Unni!”

“What’s wrong?”

“St-Stop squeezing so tight! It hurts!”

“Are you sure you’re not just embarrassed that Sunghoon’s watching?”

“Unni!!”

I was about to die.

“Anyway, this is the next step.”

Jeongmi-nuna put her hand on the back of Narae’s head. And their faces inched closer and closer to each other. Jeongmi-nuna appeared utterly serious about her course of action, and Narae was so taken aback that she couldn’t decide what to do.

“Wh-What? W-W-Wait, Unni?!”

Narae woke up from her stupor and tried to escape Jeongmi-nuna’s grip in a panic, but Jeongmi-nuna refused to let her go. Narae shouted in a voice signaling she was close to tears.

“This is m-my first!”

“It’s okay. It won’t count between us.”

At Jeongmi-nuna’s words, Narae squeezed her eyes shut and shut her mouth in a tight line. Is this how she’s going to take Narae’s lips?! I feel a little sad at the thought, but I’m also getting strangely excited! Jeongmi-nuna’s lips stopped just before Narae’s, and, stuck in that close distance right before contact, she changed directions, kissing Narae on the cheek as if this had always been her plan in the first place. Jeongmi-nuna then smiled brightly.

“I’d feel bad if I went any further, so let’s stop here.”

Jeongmi-nuna let go of Narae’s arm, and Narae scurried to hide behind me. Jeongmi-nuna continued to speak, as if not at all concerned that Narae was clinging to me, looking fearfully at her.

“Do you understand now? Can you handle this?”

I spoke truthfully.

“I will put my all into this.”

Narae was true to herself as well and hit me.

“Die, you pervert!!”

“Gyagh?!”

Narae’s seemingly magically enhanced uppercut sent me flying into the air, and her subsequent roundhouse kick caused me to crash into the corner of the room. That pain that made it difficult even to breathe gave me the insight that honesty wasn’t always a virtue.

A moment later. I regained full control of my body and sat back down in my seat. I cowered from Narae as she glared at me venomously. Jeongmi-nuna spoke while watching our exchange.

“You get it now, right?”

“Deep in my bones, yes. So I just need to act like normal?”

Jeongmi-nuna nodded.

“That’s right. And that’s true for Narae as well.”

That would likely be difficult, but everything should work itself out. I nodded my head while thinking that, and Jeongmi-nuna gave a relieved smile. She then got up and spoke.

“It looks like everything’s been settled nicely, so I’ll be going now.”

Wait, don’t say something so disappointing! You can’t be planning on leaving already without giving me more time to appreciate your beautiful figure, could you?!

“You’re leaving already? Please stay for dinner.”

Jeongmi-nuna shook her head.

“I’ve become busy of late.”

“Why’s that?”

“It’s not something for any of you to worry about, but a dangerous phantom has become active recently. Otherwise, I would have liked to stay here and fix a certain misunderstanding between the two of us.”

“…A dangerous phantom?”

I was getting a bad feeling.

“Ah, don’t worry about it.”

The problem is I am worried about it. It’s not like I can just take my mind off those breasts…I, as a man, am incredibly sorry. I am sorry for my blazing hormones.

“Then before you leave, please take that club befitting a caveperson with you.”

Saehee was talking about Ungnyeo’s Bone Club. She said that it was one of Ungnyeo’s mystical objects, and I knew first hand the abilities it had, but Jeongmi-nuna shook her head.

“It’s fine. I’d rather keep it here. That way…”

Jeongmi-nuna’s words trailed on, when she glanced at me and turned her head away. It seemed like she didn’t want to talk about the reason with a normal person like me, so I changed the subject.

“What was that misunderstanding you mentioned before?”

Jeongmi-nuna finally looked at me after I said that.

“Ah…our clan originally existed to exterminate phantoms that sought to bring harm to humans. That’s why some of the weaker phantoms are scared of us. It’s just that the Tiger-nim is the most dangerous phantom, but…”

Jeongmi-nuna sighed.

“Because of Ungnyeo-nim, I ended up giving you the wrong impression. After you finish filming the video, I’ll come back and explain everything. And I’ll take the video…”

Jeongmi-nuna’s words trailed off again, and she looked a little embarrassed as she continued her sentence.

“And see for myself how well you can handle a woman.”

She was teasing me. I decided to respond by teasing her in kind.

“If you give me your address, I’ll happily ship it to you. Of even email the file, if that’s more convenient.”

“…I knew it.”

“Knew what?”

“You’re not cute at all when you talk like that.”

Jeongmi-nuna pursed her lips at me.

“I’ll be back, so just wait.”

Jeongmi-nuna smiled at me like an adorable girl, but she wouldn’t be able to keep her promise.
