The people turned back to the roaring Zhuo Fan with a pensive expression.

In Regent Estate's home city, Caged Dragon City, the earth shuddered, and the entire city wobbled. High Venerable Huangpu Fenglei woke up from his meditation in shock.

He came out of his room and shouted, “Guard, what is going on?”

“High Venerable, the Dragon Vein is rebelling!” A Profound Heaven expert kneeled.

Huangpu Fenglei shouted, “Impossible. Regent Estate has defended the Dragon Vein for a thousand years and it has never rebelled once. One of the nine dragon souls even came out from the seal so how can it still rebel?”

“I don't know, but the other eight are hammering the seal. The shock waves have killed many Bone Tempering experts. We can't hold much longer, High Venerable. What do we do?”

Huangpu Fenglei frowned and shouted, “Call all Regent Estate's Venerables at the seal and suppress the dragon souls. Get the ones in seclusion as well. If they are released, we'll be the first to suffer their wrath!”

“Understood!” The man rushed to obey.

Huangpu Fenglei shot for the seal the next second. He just couldn't make sense of why the Dragon Vein Souls would suddenly rebel.

In a dark alley of Caged Dragon City, shadows shifted.

“Elder Yan, how do we get in with Regent Estate on high alert?” A charming voice said. She was Lei Yuting, Luo clan's shadow corps' captain.

The one across from her was Vicious Pill King, in his forties.

Looking at the strict guard at the gate, just like in the imperial capital, Yan Song sighed, “Even with the Energy Concealing Pill to evade the guards, we'll be sitting ducks once we set foot inside with the dozens of Venerables and their Discerning Fields. Slipping in now is impossible!”

Yan Song sighed. He caressed his beard, thinking of a way to achieve it.

A sudden boom shook the ground and the sky and a billowing black cloud launched lightning everywhere in Caged Dragon City.

Yan Song's team had no idea what happened. All they saw were men rushing towards a golden light.

They were a mix of Radiant Stage experts and Profound Heaven experts!

Vicious Pill King was speechless then burst out, “Hhha, it's providence! Something big must be happening to Regent Estate right now to get all Venerables and their Profound Heaven experts to leave this place. It doesn't get more deserted than this. Lass, follow me!”

“Great!” Lei Yuting perked up and signaled for the other men to follow as they slipped within Regent Estate. Each one of them was carrying a meter large bag with something squirming inside…

In the imperial capital, the emperor was perusing a report, checking the empire's situation, when the rumbling started. A black cloud thick as night loomed overhead, flickering with lightning.

The earth was shaking so badly that the ink spilled on the neat parchment.

“What's going on? Tianyu has been enjoying prosperity for a thousand years. How can it suddenly shake so much?”

The emperor swayed as the reports were rolling on the floor, “This isn't a good sign, something bad is happening. Guard, send for the High Priest!”

“Report!”

What came was a guard bowing and presenting a paper, “Your Majesty, the Parish had sent someone over and asked me to present this paper to Your Majesty. They added that all that concerns Your Majesty is in here. If there are still doubts, they cannot help as heaven does not reveal its secrets.”

Eyes twitching, the emperor said, “Give it here. That old geezer must be a god to pry into heaven's will and foresee this event.”

“Yes!”

The guard presented the paper. The emperor took it and frowned as he read. A short poem was written, but he couldn't make sense of it.

“The world shook at the shake of the earth dragon's tail, then came the celestial dragon to quell the chaos. As both the celestial and earth dragons exist, the land and rivers shall each call their king!”

“What is this supposed to mean? Does the old foggie only know to talk in riddles? Can't he say anything clearly?” The emperor shook his head as he pondered, “The land and rivers shall each call their king… Does it mean Tianyu will split and the empire will be in chaos?”

The emperor's eyes flashed, “NO, I can't let that happen. My Yuwen clan won't be divided. Humph, what land, rivers and kings? Tianyu will forever remain whole, under the Yuwen clan!”

The emperor stared at the billowing thunder cloud with intense killing intent.

On Beast King Mountain, Zhuo Fan howled for nine days and nine nights. The shaking soon spread to all of the Tianyu Empire, persisting just as long. It only stopped when Zhuo Fan did.

The audience watched in shock, knowing full well that the world had changed and that Zhuo Fan was in the center of it all. Was this the world's way of bestowing royal power?

Everyone started seeing Zhuo Fan in a different light.

Fang Qiubai especially. He used to care about Zhuo Fan's fate, and now could feel Zhuo Fan, with the dragon soul and providence by his side, was the greatest threat to Tianyu's imperial family.

It left him pulled in two directions. Should he snuff him in the cradle or report to His Majesty?

The two looked at each other and sighed.
