Le Festin de Vampire Chapter 30

Here`s another chapter. Sorry for the errors, feel free to mention and/or correct them in the comments.

The qualifying tournament is at an end. On this day, the finals for the tournament begin.

[Aria-san, good morning!]
「アリアさん、おはようございます！」

[Good morning Fian……oh, I’m a little anemic……]
「フィアおはよ……あ、ちょっと貧血気味だわ……」

Alysia that came from bed, immediatly complained about anemia. It was because Nadia had sucked her blood before going to bed last night. Of course Alysia also sucked Nadia’s blood to get revenge.

Looking at Alysia collapse onto the sofa, Fian did not know that Alysia wasn’t injured from yesterday’s qualifying match.

　ソファに倒れ込むアレイシアの様子を見て、この事を知らないフィアンは、アリアは昨日の予選で血を流す怪我なんてしたっけと考える。

Fian viewed from the side without having to worry, as Alysia was hugging Auras that had been sleeping on the couch.

Auras and Alysia were parent and child, but they were vampires. From a human standpoint, Auras’ height was that of a child. If you look close enough, although their hair colours are different, you’ll notice similar features.

　オーラスとアレイシアは親子の関係だが、吸血鬼という種族上、老化が他の種族に比べて圧倒的に遅いため、寝ている二人は兄妹にしか見えない。人間からすれば、オーラスの身長もまだ子供という範囲だからだ。よくよく見れば、髪の色こそ違うものの、顔立ちがどこか似ているという事に気が付くだろう。

After a short time, Nadia came with a change of clothes. Alysia headed to the next room after getting changed with Fian. Speaking of why, they were invited to breakfast by Sheriana and Claire.

By the way, Alysia as usual had her sword and grimoire.

　ちなみにアレイシアはいつも通り、刀と魔導書を持っている。

– Kokokon~tsu!
　——コココンッ！

Alysia lightly knocked on the door.
　アレイシアは扉を軽く爪で叩く。

Several seconds of silence.

……however, nothing happens.

　……しかし、何も起こらない。

[Are they still sleaping?]
「まだ寝てるんでしょうか？」

[So be it……It would be bad waking up Sheriana and Claire in the morning.]
「そうかもね……案外セリアとクレアって朝の寝起き悪いから」

[Should we go somewhere else?]
「もう先に行っちゃいましょうか？」

[You’re right. Firstly……]
「そうね。一応先に……」

– Gacha~tsu! Ban~tsu! !
　——ガチャッ！　バンッ！！

[The moment Alysia said so, the door was vigorously opened at a speed you would think it would have broken at. After the door being opened so suddenly, Fian and Nadia made a sound of surprise. Alysia and Auras, however, were not fazed at all.
　アレイシアがそう言った瞬間、扉が勢い良く、それこそ壊れてしまうのではないかと思う程の速度で開いた。突然の事に、フィアンとナディアは驚いてその場を後ずさってしまう。この時、アレイシアとオーラスは全く動じなかった。

[I’m sorry! I overslept!]
「ごめんっ！　寝坊しちゃった！」

The figure of Sheriana in her sleepwear emerged from her room. The blonde hair usually always in a ponytail, was painfully disturbing as bed hair.
　部屋から現れたのは寝間着姿のシェリアナ。いつもは一つに纏められている金髪が、寝癖で痛々しい程に乱れている。

[The door broke? ……I know, here.]
「扉、壊れるわよ？　……ほら、うしろ」

[Huh?]
「え？」

Alysia was told, as Sheriana confirms the back of the door. There, in the white walls was a dent where the doorknob hits. It was unclear whether high vampire ability was better or not.
　そう言われたシェリアナは、扉の後ろを確認する。そこにあったのは、丁度ドアノブが当たる場所に大きな窪みができた白い壁だった。吸血鬼がいかに高い身体能力を持っているかが良く分かるだろう。

[Ah……In what way do I……]
「あぁぁ……どうしよ……」

[Well, that’ll have to wait. Get dressed and we’ll head to breakfast.]
「ま、仕方が無いわね。着替えて朝食に行きましょ」

[……Yes!]
「……はいっ！」

Then, after they had finished dressing Sheriana arranged her hair and they went towards the restaurant together.
　その後、既に着替え終わっていたクレアが四人の中に入り、髪を整えたシェリアナも一緒にレストランへと向かって行った。

[School Paper! Coverage of Alysia’s enthusiasm in today’s finals!]
「あの、学園紙の取材です！　アレイシアさん、今日の本戦での意気込みをどうぞ！」

[There was a match today? 32 People, 16 games will be carried out in two days.]

(TL: I’m not sure)
「私が今日出ると決まった訳じゃないわよ？　三十二人分、十六試合を二日に分けて行うんだから」

[Oh……I was true to think so, thank you for your enthusiasm!]
「あ……そ、そういえばそうでしたけど、意気込みをお願いします！」

When Alysia came to the restaurant, the school reporter immediatly came up to her.

Except for Nadia and Auras, 5 people immediatly left the area. Alysia’s friends didn’t want to be interviewed.

　すぐ後ろにいた筈の五人は、ナディアとオーラスを除いてその場を離れている。友達だからと言って、取材をされたく無いからだろう。

[Well, it’s about time……I’m still waiting for my breakfast.]
「じゃ、私はそろそろ……朝食がまだだしね」

「あ、あぁ……待って、待って下さい！　後ろの二人は誰ですか！？」

[My mother and Father.]
「私の母様と父様よ」

[Ah, do you have a little time……to talk……]
「あ、少し話を……ダメかぁ……」

The reporter wanted to pull out the two behind Alysia, but he realized no more coverage was possible. Then, they set out for where the tournament was carried out.

(TL: I’m not sure what 取材が無理なら、戦っている所を見ようと思ったからである means)

—We didn’t get interviewes in the qualifyers yesterday. What is……
　———昨日の予選は他の取材があって行けませんでしたからね。本戦こそは……

In the fourth arena, 32 participants were arranged. Standing at the back left was Alysia
　第四闘技場の中央に、予選で勝ち残った三十二人の選手が並んでいる。一番後ろの一番左に立っているのがアレイシアだ。

[Today, we have qualifying matches for March 3 to March 6 until the World Cup. 32 people today, with two groups of 16, 8 will be selected.]
『予選を勝ち抜いた皆さん、本日三月三日から三月六日まで、闘技大会の本戦が行われます！　三十二人が二人ずつ戦い、今日は十六人の中から八人が選ばれる予定です』

As the presentor said so, cheers rose up from the audience.

When Alysia looked to the right, [Win! Alysia-San!!] the men of her fan club held a board that said what was reflected in their eyes.

　アレイシアが右側に目を向けると、『優勝！　アレイシア様！！』と書かれた大きなボードを掲げたファンクラブの男子共が目に映った気がした。

—That’s right, it’s all in my head. I’m halucinating……it’s my imagination……
　———そうよ、あれはあくまでも気のせいね。気のせい……気のせいなのよ……

Some things at the end of the field were negative, Alysia directed her eyes towards the moderator.
　視界の端に映ったあるモノを全否定し、アレイシアは司会の方へと目を向ける。

[Today’s fight will determine which 16 of you move on, everything has been prepared. Look here!!]

There were seats around the arena for the audience. Under the stage the moderator was using, was a blackboard, which was similar to what was used in classrooms. In consideration of the far away audience, it was larger than what was used in classrooms.
　 闘技場の円形の観客席。そこの一角、司会者が立っている段の下に、授業でも使われている板ブラックボードが運び込まれて来た。遠くにいる観客への配慮なのか、普段使用している板よりもかなり大きい物の様だ。

[Here’s the first half of the first day of the tournament, the second half is scheduled for the second day!]
『ここに描かれたトーナメント表の左半分が一日目、右半分が二日目を予定している分となっております！』

Alysia was in the very back, to determine the arena and start with good visuals of it.
　アレイシアは列の一番後ろに居ながらも、板に描かれたトーナメント表を高い視力で確認する。

—-The first round of the first day……!?
　———一日目の一戦目……って！？

Looking for her, Alysia is immediatly found in the far left of the arena. Smally written is the first round.
　探してみればすぐに、表の一番左端にアレイシアの名前が見つかった。その下には小さく『一戦目』と書かれている。

[Players in the waiting room, begin preparing. The first round of the tournament starts immediatly!]
『では、選手の皆さんは待合室に戻って、準備を始めておいて下さい。第一回戦の一戦目はこれからすぐに始まります！』

Then, Alysia in the waiting room wondered what to prepare.
　その後、心の準備が全く出来ていないアレイシアは、待合室の出入り口付近に立ち、どうしたものかと頭を悩ますのであった。

In the front row of the audience, in the seats opposite to the moderator, were five people, including Alysia’s parents. Claire is talking to Nadia and pointing towards the arena.
　観客席の最前列、司会の丁度向かい側に当たる席に、アレイシアの両親含め五人が座っていた。クレアは板の方を指差し、ナディアに話し掛けている。

[Nadia, do you see that?]
「ナディアさん、あの板を見る事は出来ますか？」

[Wow. Aria-chan’s in the first round.]
「出来るわよ。アリアちゃんが一戦目になったみたいね」

[You’re right, Alysia came out……!]
「本当だ、早速アレイシアが出て来る……！」

[I see too. The one on the far left is Aria.]
「私も見える。一番左にアリアの名前があるわ」

Nadia, Auras, and Sheriana said, but they could read what was written on the board, even from this distance. A hundred thermes (25m) or more could be a distance the three could read from in this location, Fian and Claire were a little jealous.
　ナディアとオーラス、シェリアナは、この距離からでも板に書いてある事が読める様だ。百テルム（二十五メートル）以上も離れた場所から細かい文字を読む事が出来る三人を、フィアンとクレアは少し羨ましく思ってしまうのであった。

[The first round begins……! Let’s cheer!!]
「一戦目……！　応援しましょう！！」

[Of course, I would have done so anyways!]
「勿論、言われずともね！」

The five people, hear the broadcast using wind magic to announce the beginning of the first round as they look to the center of the arena. Just as Alysia emerges from the doorway.
　そして五人は、一戦目が始まるという風魔法の放送を聞き、闘技場中央へと目を向ける。それは丁度、アレイシアが出入り口から出て来る所であった。
