Chapter 199 – Bear-san Returns To Crimonia 　それから数日後、王都から無事に検問官たちが来て、クリフの仕事はやって来た検問官に
引き継がれる。あとはエレローラさんとグランさんが中心となって行われる。
A few days later, the inspector arrived from the capital, and finally released Cliff from his work. Afterwards, Eleanorsan and Gran-san took care of the matter.
　そして、わたしたちは本日、クリモニアに帰る。
Today is the day we head back to Crimonia.

After a few leisurely days, the inspector finally arrived from the capital and released Cliff from his work. Eleanorsan and Gran-san now formally took over to resolve the issue, meaning today was the day we could finally head back to Crimonia.

「ノア、ちゃんとクリフの言うことを聞くのよ。今度の休みには帰るから」
「Noa, listen to Cliff properly, okay? I'll be coming home on my next vacation.」

　屋敷の前では見送りをしてくれる者が集まってくれる。

　エレローラさんたちは明日王都に出発するそうだ。王都にはグランさんも一緒に行くことになっている。もちろん、犯罪を犯したガマガエル親子とミサを誘拐した黒服も一緒に連れて行かれ、王都で裁かれることになっている。
Eleanorsan and some others will be departing back to the capital tomorrow. Gran-san intends to head to the capital with them. Of course, they will bringing the toad and his son, as well as the black-clothed man with them. At the capital, they will be judged.
　ガマガエル家にいた使用人は数人は一緒に王都に行くが、ほとんどの者は街で刑罰にされることになっているそうだ。
A few of the servants working for the toad man are going too, but the rest of them are getting their sentence by the town instead.
　人によるけど、罪状が重くなる者と軽くなる者と分かれるらしい。
It really depends on who is the one making the judgment. However, they should be able to distinguish those who are more guilty than others.
　気になるのは囚われていた子供の居場所を教えてくれたメイドさんだ。エレローラさんの話では素直に話しているそうだ。
The one I'm worried about is the maid that was taking care of the abducted children. Eleanorsan told me that she was obedient and talked about everything.
　罪状は軽くなるといいんだけど。なんだかんだで、優しそうな人だった。
I hope she gets a light punishment. Either way, she seemed like a nice person.

　エレローラさんは娘の頭を撫でると、次にわたしとフィナの方を見る。
Eleanorsan patted her daughter's head, then looked at Fina and I.

Eleanorsan would be departing back to the capital tomorrow, and Gran-san intended to join her, too. They were going to take the toad man and his son along with them, of course, as well as the black-clothed man. At the capital, they would finally be officially judged by the king.
A few of the servants working for the toad man would also be brought along while the rest of them would be sentenced by the town instead.
Their sentences would surely vary depending on who would be making the judgment, but I was sure they would be able to distinguish between those more guilty than others.
The only one I was worried about was the maid who had been taking care of the abducted children. Eleanorsan had told me that she had cooperated and confessed everything, so I hoped she would only receive a light punishment. Either way, she seemed like a nice person to me, but sadly, I would get no say in her judgement.
Eleanorsan patted her daughter's head, then turned to Fina and me.

「２人とも娘のことをお願いね。少し、我侭なところもあるけど、良い子だから」
「Please take care of my daughter. She's a little selfish sometimes, but she's a good girl.」

　わたしたちは頷く。

次にエレローラさんの隣にいるゼレフさんが声をかけてくる。

We knew that Noa was a good girl; she had become such good friends with a commoner like Fina, after all.
She did go a bit nuts over anything bear-related from time to time, but she was usually just a simple, kind child.
Looking to the side, I noticed that Noa looked embarrassed as if she wanted to tell her mother to stop.
With Eleanorsan's goodbye all done, Zelef-san decided to speak up next.

「ユナ殿、今回は貴重な経験をありがとうございました」
「Yundono, I would like to thank you for the valuable experience I received on this trip.」
「なにか、大事になっちゃったけど」
「Sorry, it got a bit out of hand.」

　ゼレフさんが本当に残念そうな顔をする。

Since Zelef-san had taken his time to help us out, I decided I would make sure to bring him a new recipe next time I visited the castle.
After Zelef-san said goodbye to everyone else, the Faren Gramm family approach me.

「ユナ、今回はお世話になった。ありがとう。おまえさんが居なかったら、わしたちの家が
取り潰しになっていたかもしれない」

　グランさんは頭を下げる。

　グランさんにもミサのご両親にも何度もお礼を言われた。

Since they want to give their thanks, they keep asking me if there is anything i want. It feels wrong to receive something from the family for rescuing Misa. I didn't rescue Misa because I wanted a reward or because it's my job. I have no intention of receiving money from them.
　もし金銭類のお礼を貰ったら、あの怒りが、ミサを助けた気持ちが嘘になるような感じがする。だから、お礼は言葉だけでいい。
I feel like if I received money as thanks, all the anger and feelings I felt saving Misa would feel like a lie.

Gran-san and Misa's parents had thanked me so many times in these past few days that I had completely lost count.
Since they wanted to show their gratitude, they kept asking me if there was anything they could do for me, but it felt wrong to receive something for simply doing what I wanted. I most certainly hadn't rescued her because I wanted a reward, so I had no intention of receiving money from them.
If I accepted it, all the anger and feelings I had felt when saving Misa would just be a lie.

「みんな、帰っちゃうんだね」

　ミサが寂しそうにする。こればかりは仕方ない。

　ミサの父親であるレオナルドさんはわたしたちと一緒にクリモニアに来ることになっている。
Misa's father, Leonardo-san, will be heading back to Crimonia with us.
　それは今回の事件でフィナのご両親に謝罪するためだ。本当は領主であるグランさんが謝罪に行く予定だったが、王都に行かなければならないので、レオナルドさんが来ることになったのだ。
The reason is because Misa's parents wanted to apologize to Fina's parents for what happened. Originally, the plan was for Gran-san to go apologize, but he has to go to the capital, so it was decided that Leonardo-san will go to Crimonia instead.
　フィナは大丈夫ですと断っていたが、最終的に断れずにいた。
Fina said it wasn't necessary and tried to refuse the offer, but in the end could not.
　何度もわたしに助けを求める視線を向けられたが、こればかりはわたしが口を挟める事ではない。

Misa's father, Leonardo-san, was coming to Crimonia with us because he wanted to apologize to Fina's parents for what had happened here. Originally, the plan had been for Gran-san to go, but he was required at the capital, so it was decided for Leonardo-san to accompany us instead.
Fina had told them that it wasn't necessary, and tried to stop them from going, but to no avail.
She had looked at me many times for support, but I didn't really have any say in that matter, either. I had to apologize to Terumi-san and Gentz-san for putting Fina in danger as well, so I understood how Gran-san and Leonardo-san must feel. That was why I had simply kept quiet.
Still, it was because of how things had turned out that Misa was now envious of her father, who got to accompany us to Crimonia.

「フィナ殿の両親に謝罪しにいくだけだよ。すぐに戻ってくる。だから、今回は大人しく留守番をしててくれ

What can they use those uniforms for though? I can't think of any other use for them other than pajamas.
　帰ったら、フィナの制服を注文しないといけない。シェリーのところにはぬいぐるみも取りに行かないといけないし。問題はない。
When we get back, I have to put an order in for Fina's uniform. I can ask for it when I pick up the plushies from Sherry's place. There should be no problem.

On the side note, both Misa and Noa really wanted the shop's bear uniforms, so we decided to let them keep the uniforms.
What would they use the uniforms for, though? I couldn't think of any other use for them other than pajamas…
Anyway, when I got back to Crimonia, I would have to order two new Bear Uniforms for Fina. Luckily, I could just ask for them as I pick up the plushies.

　クリモニアとこの街はそれほど離れていない。行き来できない距離ではない。会おうと思えばいつでも会える。クマイベントのおかげで次回来ても、狂気事件で騒がれることはないから、安心して来られる。でも、別の意味で騒がれそうだが、それは仕方ない。
Crimonia is not that far away from this town. At the least, it's not a distance you can't travel back and forth from, so we can meet whenever we want. Thanks to the Bear Event, I can safely come back to this town without having to worry about causing another mad bear incident. If something else happens though, that can't be helped.

　レオナルドさんとレオナルドさんの護衛が一緒のため、帰りはクマハウスの使用はしていない。クリフにも許可をもらっている。残念そうにしていたのはノアだったが、王都に行ったときの『くまさんと一緒』で寝ることを約束すると嬉しそうに了承してくれた。
Because Leonardo-san and his guards are coming along, I decided not to use the Bear House for this return trip. Cliff was okay with it, but Noa was very disappointed. Instead, I promised her she'll get to spend time with the bears and sleep together with them, so she happily obliged.

Once everyone finally said their goodbyes, we departed for Crimonia.

We eventually returned to Crimonia safely. It felt like we have been gone for a while, as I felt a bit homesick.
　街の中に入り、空を見ると、あと数時間で日が沈みそうだ。だから、今日は帰って風呂に入って寝たいところだけど、フィナを家に送り届けないといけない。それにティルミナさんにも、いろいろと報告もしないといけない。
We entered the town, and I looked up at the sky. It'll get dark in a couple of hours. I want to go home so I can take a bath and head to bed, but I have to take Fina home first. I also have a lot I'll have to report to Terumi-san.
　ノアとクリフとは別れ、わたしとフィナ。そして、レオナルドさんの３人でフィナの家に向かう。
We parted from Noa and Cliff, leaving Fina and I. Together with Leonardo-san, we headed to Fina's home.
　レオナルドさんは翌日の朝にフィナの家に謝罪の挨拶に行こうとしていたが、朝は忙しく逆に迷惑がかかるとわたしが助言したことで、このままフィナの家に向かうことになった。
Leonardo-san had wanted to apologize to Fina's family the following morning, but I told him that it might be busier then, so we decided to head there now.
　嘘は言っていないが朝一だとわたしが付き合うのが面倒臭かった理由が一番高い。

Besides, it doesn't matter what time we go visit them, anybody would get scared to have nobles suddenly visit them. I feel bad for Terumi-san and the others, but I really want to get this over with and relax.

Before long, we returned to Crimonia safely. I had felt a bit homesick by this point, so it seemed like I hadn't been home in ages.
When we entered town, I took a look up at the sky; it would be getting dark in a couple of hours. I wanted to head straight home to take a bath and cuddle up in a bed, but I had to take Fina home first. Oh, and I also had a lot to report to Terumi-san.
We parted ways with Noa and Cliff then headed to Fina's home together with Leonardo-san.
He had planned to apologize to Fina's family the following morning, but I told him that they would most likely be busy then, so we decided to just take him there now.
I didn't really lie about them being busy, but it was mostly because having to go there first thing in the morning would be a pain for me, so it ended up being a good excuse.
I had to go with them as it would be best if I explained what had happened; I was responsible for Fina on this trip, after all.
Besides, regardless of when we would pay them a visit, I was sure they would be a bit freaked out having a noble show up at their door unannounced. I kind of felt bad for them, but I really wanted to get this over with, so that I could go home and relax.

「本当に来るのですか？」
「Do you really have to come?」

「Is it really necessary to speak with my parents?」

　フィナが気が重そうな顔で尋ねる。

Not to mention that, there was a large, visible gap between the commoners and the nobles in this world.
Still, since Leonardo-san was already here, Fina might as well give up.

　フィナが家のドアを開けて中に入る。中に向かって「お母さん！　お母さん！」とティルミナさんを呼ぶ声が漏れてくる。ドアが開いているためティルミナさんの声も聞こえてくる。「フィナ帰ってきたの？」「フィナ帰ってきたのか」ゲンツさんの声も聞こえるね。「お母さん、外に来てくれる。お母さんに会いたいって人がいるの」
Fina opens the door to her house and enters. We could hear 「Mother! Mother!」as she calls for Terumi-san to come out. Since the door was open, we could hear Terumi-san's voice too. 「Fina, you're home?」「Fina, you're back!」We could hear Gentz-san's voice too. 「Mother, can you come out? There's somebody that wants to see you.」
　そして、フィナに連れて来られたティルミナさんとゲンツさんがやってくる。ゲンツさんは仕事は終わったのかな？
Eventually, Fina drags both Terumi-san and Gentz-san out. Gentz-san must be done with his job for the day.

Fina said and entered the house. We could hear her call out「Mother! Mother!」to Terumi-san. Since Fina left the door open, we heard Terumi-san's reply. 「Fina, you're home?」「Fina, you're back!」Gentz-san pitched in as well. 「Mother, can you come out? There's somebody who wants to see you.」
Eventually, Fina dragged both Terumi-san and Gentz-san outside. Gentz-san must already be done with his job for the day since he was home, huh.

「あら、ユナちゃん。お帰り。少し予定よりも遅かったのね。わたしに会いたいってユナちゃんなの？」
「Oh my, Yunchan. Welcome back. You're back a little later than originally planned. Yunchan, you wanted to see me?」
「やっと、戻ってきたか、心配したぞ」
