Isabel - The Lightning Princess 33 The King and Queen

Isabel, Jasper and Catherine had a confused look evident on their faces. They had gone on the tour, but not once had Phoebe made mention of any building called IA.

"Yes darlings, IA. You heard me well."

"Where is that? Is it somewhere far?" Catherine asked.

"Nope, as a matter of fact darlings, you are here" she gestured towards the first big building in the small hideout.

"Why is it named or called IA? Intelligence Agency?" Jasper asked.

"No silly" Livia chipped in.

"It was named after the Queen and King if Gandera, wasn't it?"

"You got that right darling. It was named after your parents" Vita said and reached a hand to hold Isabel's hand.

Their hands intertwined and Vita gave Isabel a motherly smile.

"Whenever you are ready dear, we have their portraits inside by the way" Vita said, hoping Isabel would cheer up.

"Yayyy, we get to see the Queen and King, I am thrilled, Isabel you would see them as well" Catherine eagerly spoke.

"Catherine!" Ariadna called her daughter's name, bringing her to reality.

"Huh what mum!" her mother directed her eyes to Isabel for Catherine to understand.

"Yikes, sorry Isabel. It was wrong of me to be insensitive."

"It's okay Cathy. Besides, I have seen them before in my dreams."

"Ohh yeah I completely forgot just now" she said while scratching the back of her head.

"It's going to be all right USA" Jasper assured her.

"Hmm" she averted her gaze quickly and walked forward.

"Let's get going then" Vita gave the order and everyone followed behind her and Isabel.

They walked to the front of the house and entered the compound. The kids kept on admiring the the designs as they entered.

"Oh my... " Catherine clasped a hand over her mouth as she stared at a large portrait. It stood tall in the living room, it was a six feet tall portrait.

The others walked up to her when they heard her gasp. "Yes, the picture of King Alexander and Queen Isabella. Magnificent don't you think?"

In the portrait, King Alexander had his right hand round Queen Isabella's waist while the other hand held her hand in front of her.

The Queen rested her head against his head and a dazzling smile graced her beautiful face. She wore a blue gown with jewelries decorating her head, neck and hands.

The King on the order hand wore his Royal regalia , with his silver hair he looked so handsome as the only form of jewelry graced his head.

"They are the most beautiful couple I have ever seen" Catherine complimented.

"I am curious though, who did Isabel really look like? Her dad or mum?"he asked not so sure.

"Well nobody really knows, we know she has the hair of her father along with his powers, but seeing a though she still has magic, I am lost as well."

"She looks like her mother, Queen Isabella. We got to see her before Aiden used the magic spell on her" Ariana explained to them.

"Her beauty was second to none, it couldn't be matched with anything and anyone other than her love for him."

"I am sorry Isabella" a tear drop slid down Ariana's face as she gazed upon the portrait.

"She sacrificed for us all Ari. She wouldn't want is feeling down, but fight and win back our land" Phoebe tried to ease the pressure and tense atmosphere with words.

"Let's get you in your rooms" Phoebe called out and they all walked away.

Isabel stared at her parents portrait from where she stood, taking note of every distinguished features. She stared far into Queen Isabella's eyes for long, all of a sudden it felt as though she was being pulled in.

She could hear noise, not from anyone around her, it was chatty and she tried making sense of what was being said, but nothing. The harder she tried, she still couldn't make sense of what was said.

The more she looked at the portrait, the farther she felt lost...

Livia saw her standing there, the focus on her face, something was strange about it. "Isabel!" She called out.

No answer. "Isabel" Ariadna called louder this time, still no answer.

"What is going on? She isn't answering, something is wrong Vita" Livia turned her head to her friend.

Ringing, twirling, headache... Isabel clutched her head with her hands, closing her eyes in the process as a sudden pain coursed through her.

When it reduced, she opened her eyes again, suddenly everything became blur...

A loud thud... BAM!

She collapsed. "Isabel!!"
