The Yin Yang Heaven and Earth Great Shift!

The Heaven and Earth Great Shift had been the highest martial arts teaching of the Ming Cult for a long time. Even though many other powerful martial arts teachings had appeared in the Ming Cult, none could compare with the Heaven and Earth Great Shift.

The Heaven and Earth Great Shift was not an offensive martial arts teaching. It was also not a defensive type. Instead, it combined offense and defense together.

Very few leaders of the Ming Cult had been able to practice the Heaven and Earth Great Shift to the highest realm but this did not affect its influence in the ancient martial arts world. However, the Heaven and Earth Great Shift that Mo Wen had unleashed was not the Heaven and Earth Great Shift in its truest sense. Instead, he had used another remarkable power that was based on the Heaven and Earth Great Shift and actually greatly surpassed it.

The power used by Mo Wen was a secret martial arts technique that the Ming Cult's 34th cult leader had derived from the Heaven and Earth Great Shift. Although it had always been in the Ming Cult, Mo Wen was the only other person except the 34th cult leader to practice it. Only those who practiced both the Nine Yin Divine Technique and the Nine Yang Divine Technique could master the Yin Yang Heaven and Earth Great Shift.

During his practice of this secret martial arts technique, Mo Wen had discovered that it surpassed the ordinary martial arts teachings of the world, almost reaching the level of rite of passage martial arts. Many of the philosophies of the martial arts teaching had remarkable similarities with the three Glory techniques that he also practiced.

It had long been rumored that the Ming Cult's 34th cult leader had surpassed the limits of human ancient martial art practitioners, reaching an entirely different level. From the looks of things now, he must have succeeded in becoming immortal. It was not impossible for ancient martial art practitioners that had become immortal to create a rite of passage martial arts.

Mo Wen had been taught the Yin Yang Heaven and Earth Great Shift from the mysterious statue of Buddha. He had comprehended less than one-third of the practice and it was possible that the Yin Yang Heaven and Earth Great Shift had a follow-up practice method that was the true rite of passage martial arts.

In the empty space, the huge blue and red Yin Yang disk was slowly spinning. It quietly restrained the snake type Beast King inside, trapping it at the center of the Yin Yang disk.

The snake type Beast King had been trying to escape when it suddenly discovered that its body could not move at all. It was as though there was a formless binding force that had tightly constricted it. As a Beast King, there was almost no power that could restrict it. It now panicked for the first time.

The snake type Beast King suddenly turned around. "What did you do to me?" it asked Mo Wen. Its eyes were full of panic and hatred. As expected, this human ancient martial art practitioner was not prepared to let it go.

"Of course, I will kill you," Mo Wen merely said. He pointed forwards, and softly said, "Heaven and Earth Shift."

The next moment, a bizarre scene played out as the position of the two figures suddenly changes. The large distance between them shrank and they were brought close together in an instant. 

"Damn you, I'll take you down with me." The eyes of the snake type Beast King flashed with a fierce look. The beast's ferocity intensified as it realized that it could not escape. It furiously opened its mouth and a Blood Bead slowly floated out.

It unleashed the power of the Demon Elixir, wanting to take Mo Wen down with it. The Blood Bead seemed to be burning, releasing an unparalleled light. The surrounding temperature instantly rose to the point that it could melt steel.

"Humph!" Mo Wen coldly snorted. The Yin Yang disk floating in the empty space suddenly contracted, instantly becoming the size of a palm. The palm-sized Yin Yang disk appeared in the large mouth of the snake type Beast King, locking its Blood Bead securely in its center. The crimson light suddenly stopped and began to gradually recede.

The snake type Beast King's Blood Bead had been cultivated for millennia. The power contained within it was enormous. No matter how miraculous the Yin Yang disk was, it could not restrict the Blood Bead for long.

In the time it took for a breath, the Blood Bead once again released astonishing light. Cracks appeared on the Yin Yang disk that contained it. It expanded bit by bit, clearly unable to contain the Beast King's Demon Elixir for much longer.

"You foolish human. You think you can stop me. Since you want to die with me, then let me grant your wish." The snake type Beast King laughed loudly. It looked at Mo Wen with a gaze of ferocity and hate. Although it was almost certainly going to die, it would be satisfied if it could kill this human ancient martial art practitioner.

Mo Wen did not say anything, still ignoring the snake type Beast King. He retrieved a green talisman from the medicine spiritual ring. It was none other than the Green Dragon Thorn, the seventh rank talisman that he had obtained earlier from the Red Scaled Earth Dragon Beast King

Once the Green Dragon Thorn talisman appeared, it immediately started burning. A mass of green light appeared in mid-air, getting brighter and more glaring. It emanated an extremely powerful aura. A seventh rank talisman was equivalent to an all-out attack from a Martial Arts Grandmaster. It had the power to injure a Beast King.

An illusionary green dragon appeared in mid-air. The next moment, the green dragon became more solid. It was resplendent and looked just like a real living dragon.

The dragon's roar filled the entire space. The green dragon flew through the air, becoming a blur as it headed straight for the snake type Beast King.

"You…"

The snake type Beast King had not expected Mo Wen to have such a trick up his sleeve. It was caught off guard. If it was in tip-top condition it would have no need to fear the attack from the Green Dragon Thorn, but it had been repeatedly severely injured, and its Demon Elixir had now been restricted. Such a blow was therefore likely to cause severe injury, and could easily be fatal. 

Once Mo Wen had activated the Green Dragon Thorn talisman, he did not stand and wait to see what happened. His silhouette quickly vanished from its original position.

Rumble!

The illusionary green dragon collided with the snake type Beast King, immediately causing it to uncontrollably cough up blood. A large portion of its body completely shattered and its blood rained down from the sky.

Like a gentle breeze, Mo Wen appeared next to the snake type Beast King. The Sacred Fire Sword he held in his hand released an unparalleled terrifying light.

"No..."

The snake type Beast King let out a frightened roar. The illusionary green dragon had destroyed almost half its body. Its power was shattered and its Demon Elixir was contained within the Yin Yang disk. It did not have the strength to block Mo Wen's attack. It was also aware of the power of Mo Wen's imminent attack. The shadow of death was now hanging over the Beast King.

Lightning kept flashing across Mo Wen's body. There was also lightning leaping on the Sacred Fire Sword. The flames fused with the lightning, creating a powerful flame. Mo Wen slashed with the sword.

With a whistle, the huge head of the snake type Beast King flew off its body like a flaming meteorite. It kept flying up into the sky, the snakehead still burning with flames. However, without the control of a master, the flames could not coalesce anymore. The Blood Bead in the snakehead did not release any more light. It dimmed bit by bit and began to dissipate.

The Beast King's Demon Elixir could not be preserved. Once the Beast King died, it would completely disintegrate. Only the Devil Clan that practiced in order to become demons could completely remove their Demon Elixirs from their bodies. If they died, their elixirs would not disintegrate. Instead, they would become rare treasures among immortal cultivators, giving human immortal cultivators a reason to hunt the treasures of the Devil Clan.

Rumble!

The snake type Beast King's huge figure smashed into the magma ocean below, stirring up huge waves thousands of feet high and churning the surface of the ocean.

Mo Wen slowly breathed a sigh of relief. Killing the Beast King had been more difficult than killing a hundred Lord monstrous beasts. He had needed to unleash two attacks and had expended a seventh rank talisman. His Inner Qi had been vastly depleted. If he had not been able to use Recovery Lights and Healing Lights, how could he battle against such a mythical beast?

It was a key dividing line between a pinnacle of the Golden Elixir Realm ancient martial art practitioner and a Martial Arts Grandmaster. No one knew how large the difference between them was. There were also exceptionally large differences between a pinnacle of the seventh rank monstrous beast and a Beast King. A Beast King was incredibly difficult to kill. It would be almost impossible for ancient martial art practitioners at the pinnacle of the Golden Elixir Realm to accomplish.

Specks of starlight appeared. It was the cultivation increase after killing a Beast King.

Large amounts of starlight formed a huge whirlpool. The light surrounded Mo Wen, surging into his body like a spinning top. After half a minute, he had absorbed it all and felt his cultivation once again increase by a huge margin.

Killing such a Beast King was equivalent to killing a hundred Lord monstrous beasts. The increase was rather obvious.

Under current circumstances, Mo Wen only needed to kill another two Beast Kings and he would most likely break through to the later stage of the Golden Elixir Realm. When that happened, although he might not necessarily be comparable to a true Martial Arts Grandmaster, he would certainly be the person closest to a Martial Arts Grandmaster.

Three lights quietly appeared before Mo Wen. One was a top-grade Healing Light, one a top-grade Recovery Light and the other a purplish-red talisman. The talisman emanated a rather terrifying power: it was actually an eighth rank talisman, a rank higher than even the Green Dragon Thorn.

"As expected, killing a Beast King doesn't drop superb grade light tools."

Mo Wen sighed. He had killed two Beast Kings, and top-grade light tools had appeared both times. The rules of this space seemed to determine that even a Beast King could only drop top-grade items, no higher. Mo Wen did not know where he could obtain the highest superb grade light tools.

He had been thinking whether he could get his hands on a superb grade Unsealing Light and unseal the Heavenly Serpent Divine Spear. Mo Wen could not tell for sure how mighty a rumored superb grade profound level weapon could be because he had never come across such a valuable treasure. The lack of superb grade Unsealing Lights though made it unlikely that this would happen.

However, top-grade light tools were also items that were hard to come by. He currently had four top-grade Healing Lights, including the one he had just received. As long as he was not instantly killed, a top-grade Healing Light should be able to pull him back from the brink of death.

Mo Wen also had two top grade Recovery Light. Aside from the Unsealing Lights, Mo Wen had not simply used the other top-grade light tools. No one knew what the Tower Spirit had in store and he wanted to save the items—they could well be lifesavers in the future. 

Earlier on, Mo Wen had received a seventh rank talisman when he had killed the Red Scaled Earth Dragon Beast King. Now, an eighth rank talisman had dropped. Obviously, this snake type Beast King was far superior to the Red Scaled Earth Dragon Beast King in both talent and ability.

"Congratulations, you have passed the trial. You have succeeded in helping the team complete the makeup task. You will receive an additional reward." The Tower Spirit's voice sounded at just the right time.
