Gloomy Forest was home to a lot of Demonic Beast and herbal medicines, and of course it was very dangerous, hence it was a less beaten route. But Murong Qingyan wasn't intimidated by it, she hoped to encounter more dangerous situations and improve herself.

The two arrived at the dangerous forest after one day.

Murong Qingyan was on the alert the second she set foot in the forest, it was so quiet, there wasn't even a chirping could be heard. Murong Qingyan found the abnormal silence quite disturbing, she was on her toes, ready to fight.

Huangfu Jue, on the other hand, still looked calm and peaceful in a place threatened by growing crisis. It looked like he and Murong Qingyan wasn't in the same place.

But Murong Qingyan wasn't surprised to see Huangfu Jue's reaction, she knew Huangfu Jue was an unfathomable and unpredictable individual, chances were Huangfu Jue indeed wasn't intimated by this Gloomy Forest.

Murong Qingyan could smell danger lurking all around her, she kept her eyes wide open and maintained vigilance all along. She didn't want to rely on Huangfu Jue, she was used to believing in no one but herself. Huangfu Jue had saved her life twice, but who could be so sure she would be so lucky next time.

Danger reveled itself not long after they entered the forest, an Earthly Bear --- Demonic Beast of Third Level stood right opposite her, emerging from nowhere.

Huangfu Jue stood aside, looking on with folded arms, he had no intention to help the girl out, or he had faith in the girl about this one.

Huangfu Jue knew exactly why Murong Qingyan chose this dangerous route, this girl was thirsty for more challenges and adventures. Therefore he told himself that he won't butt in as long as it wasn't life-threatening. Plus, this was a great opportunity for her to grow, she had a long way to go of she wanted to become the best cultivator.

Murong Qingyan had no idea what Huangfu Jue was thinking, all she could see was the giant Demonic Beast of Third Level.

This Earthly Bear wasn't just an animal, it was a Demonic Beast of Third Level, equivalent to Melting Level in human cultivation, same as Murong Qingyan. Earthly Bear was famous for its strong protection capability and invulnerable fur, human's physical strength could not be mentioned in the same breath with Earthly Bear's.

The bear assumed its position, staring at Murong Qingyan, it looked like it was ready to attack --- it charged with full speed at Murong Qingyan in a split second, roaring.

Murong Qingyan narrowed her eyes and instilled some Dark Power in her palms, she shoved the bear with both her arms in full force. She realized she had underestimated the bear the second she took its attack, she felt like her arms were about to shatter into pieces.

Murong Qingyan changed her approach, she ditched the idea of confronting the tough with toughness. She withdrew her arms and leaped to the bear's behind using Lightness Skills, with a flicker in hand, a sword showed up in her palm.

She instilled Dark Power in the sword, soon a silvery of sheen was sparkling on the sword.

The bear was huge, but the disadvantage of being so huge was it was clumsy, it took the bear a little while to figure out where Murong Qingyan was after the first attack. The bear turned around and launched the second attack, it looked angry.

Murong Qingyan smiled, she had seen this coming already. She jumped on the bear, without any hesitation, she thrust the sword in hand on its body.

The bear's fur and skin was strong, Murong Qingyan didn't leave a fatal thrust even though she had used her full strength. The bear's eyes turned scarlet red in pain, Murong Qingyan's sword was definitely a provocation in its eyes, with a growl the bear rose to its feet and shook Murong Qingyan out from its body.
