“Who are you?” a flash of confusion flashed across Murong Qingyan's eyes, “Why have you saved me time and again? And thank you for that.”
Murong Qingyan was a very sensible girl, never had her thought this man had saved her because he was attracted to her for even one second. This man was simply too ethereal. And Murong Qingyan was well aware of her features, she deemed herself unattractive.
The man in front of her had saved her twice, both in critical moments. It was fair to say this man was her life-savor, she genuinely believed that she would have been dead if not for him both times.
“Haven't I told you before?” the man answered, his voice tight, controlled. “My name is Huangfu Jue, as for why have I save you, because I can.”
'Because I can', what a powerful reason.
Murong Qingyan's lips twitched hearing that, but she continued, “No matter what the reasons are, you have saved me twice, I will never forget that.”
Huangfu Jue lifted a hand and signaled Murong Qingyan not to mention it, and he asked, “Where is that little animal of yours? If he had shown up in time today, he would be the one who has saved you, he is quite powerful I must say.”
With that Huangfu Jue frowned slightly, he wasn't happy about Xiao Bai's 'misconduct'.
The frown didn't escape Murong Qingyan, but she explained, “That's Xiao Bai you are talking about. Yeah? He is not just an animal, he is my friend and we have a contract bond. He has been sunk in sleep due to some mighty power he just absorbed, he needs some time to process it.”
