Immortal Asura Chapter 24

In the bamboo forest of the inter court, Qin Shiyan was playing the Yaoqin in a pavilion, and Qinger skipped to her with a smile, "Sister, I got that boy's information."

The splendid music stopped abruptly. Qin Shiyan turned her head and asked urgently, "What's going on? Any information?"

Qinger rolled her eyes and answered playfully, "Guess."

"Speak now!" Qin Shiyan grumbled gracefully with her feet stamping with urge.

"His name is Zhang Yan and he entered outer court not long ago. He is handsome and strong. He offended the Green Gang just now and he hit its deputy leader, Lin Feng. He even fought with Long Yu to a draw," said Qinger excitedly.

Qin Shiyan breathed a sigh of relief secretly and felt grateful that he didn't speak out. But she was quite astonished to hear that he fought with Long Yu to a draw and she asked, "Long Yu? The superior cultivator of the three outer court masters?"

"Yes, it was him." Qinger nodded.

Qin Shiyan smiled, "Surprisingly, he is so amazing. Long Yu is special while Zhang Yan seems to be good at cultivation."

"However, I must fix you sooner or later. You should pay the price of offending me. Just wait." Qin Shiyan thought to herself.

In Zhang Yan's yard, outer court.

Zhang Yan returned to his room and sat cross-legged weakly in his bed. With exhausted Dantian, he started to cultivate Asura Change immediately. The floating natural gas was absorbed into his body as if river suddenly broke open to an ocean. The natural gas was transformed into refined spiritual energy in his Dantian by cultivating Asura Change.

His Dantian was like a dry river bed but the spiritual energy revived his body like the spring rain soaking into the fields, after which he became energetic. However, the natural gas around him was thin which couldn't be comparable with the refined spiritual gas of the Cloud Spirit Grass. Therefore, his recovery rate was relatively slow but several times faster than that of ordinary cultivators.

Zhang Yan soon perceived that his cultivation was improved a lot after the latest fight. He was just a cultivator who had broken through to the fifth level of Xiantian Stage not long ago, but now he might achieve the peak of the fifth level. He didn't know the reason. He could fight with Long Yu to a draw largely because his spiritual energy refined from Asura Change was superior to that of Long Yu in power and purity.

This was also one reason why Zhang Yan who just broke through to the fifth level of Xiantian Stage could play against with Long Yu who had already broken through to the peak of the fifth level and even got the upper hand in their fight. The main reason was because Zhang Yan's body was so much stronger in his speed and physical strength after cultivating Asura Change.

Before Long Yu gave his last punch, Zhang Yan was drained of his spiritual energy by the fight, so he had to take the punch from Long Yu by his strong flesh. Long Yu's last strike was so much weaker because of his exhausted spiritual energy, however, ordinary warriors dared not to take it by body except Zhang Yan who even didn't get hurt.

In spite of mental preparation, Zhang Yan finally ensured that Asura Change was a cultivation technique of both Body Refining and Ki Refining. In ancient desolate era, races stood in great numbers and human race was just a weak one. Benevolent ancestors of human race had to survive primitive demonic beasts and fight against the heaven and the earth.

To survive, ancestors learned from demonic beasts to refine themselves and tempered their bodies as strong as those beasts. Gradually, they developed a system of Body Refining. This refining way was so hard that cultivators were required to have strong will. Making great achievement in Body Refining was as difficult as climbing up to heaven, but Human Emperor changed the situation.

Human Emperor had been an ordinary young man of human race. With strong perseverance, he managed to refine himself to be a supreme immortal, Indestructible Human Emperor Body, and he even created Ki Refining. Finally he carried out the mandate of heaven to be the first immortal emperor of human race. He protected human race for millions of years, which offered human race opportunity to build up strength and survive the brutal world. The place where human race lived was named after Human Emperor Realm by later generations to honor him.

The development of human race was totally changed by Ki Refining, because it was much safer than Body Refining. The members of human race learned Ki Refining hard, which helped the race train countless martial kings and great saints. In the end, human race became a leader in the world and people called that era "Kings Era".

After Kings Era, human race had been procreating. They developed more and more Ki Refining techniques but ignored Body Refining, which caused most Body Refining techniques to be lost. In Human Emperor Realm, a few cultivators focused on Body Refining now.

Asura Change was even a technique of both Body Refining and Ki Refining, which fairly knocked him back. Zhang Yan always believed that Ki Refining was of great importance but body was what everything else was based on. Only people cultivated both successfully can he achieve great Tao like the Human Emperor. Though he created the immortal technique of human emperor, Supreme Technique of Ki Refining, he refined himself to be an Indestructible Human Emperor Body.

He cultivated both Body Refining and Ki Refining, so he could dominate countless races and be the strongest man all the time. Unfortunately, he was gone. It was said that immortal king would never die, but no immortal king was really alive till now and the cause was uncertain.

Zhang Yan understood why his cultivation developed slowly. Compared with ordinary warriors, his cultivation improved very fast, but it was slower than that of a genius. It was not because Zhang Yan didn't cultivate hard. It had something to do with his spiritual roots which absorbed most of his spiritual energy after all.

In addition, Asura Change worked. Since Zhang Yan had achieved Xiantian Stage, the spiritual energy generated from cultivation would be unequally divided into three parts from most to least. The first part of spiritual energy was absorbed by spiritual roots, the second part was distributed by Asura Change to all parts of the body which helped improve his health, and the last part was stored in his Dantian which contributed to his Ki Refining.

Zhang Yan kept cultivating until late afternoon, during which he recovered to the peak of his powers and he even broke through the initial stage of the fifth level of Xiantian to the middle stage of that.
