Chapter 18
"Mansion or the Village"

We are currently in the Mansion eating lunch with Vine-san. We decided to discuss what we are going to do when we saw the book. We need to go back to Basil Kingdom. That being said, we are reluctant on meeting the King so we decided to go to Basil Kingdom secretly. We will need to go to Basil Book Company and look for the author named Lilo. However, they think that it will be difficult.

“Why?”

I asked curiously. Jotaro sighed and answer my question.

“Why you ask? Well, its because they don't know who we are. For example, a guy who you don't know ask where they can find Henko-chan, are you going to tell him her whereabouts?”

“Over my dead body”

“Why are you using me as example!?”

I answer honestly and Henko retort on that question. I see, since he is an author there must have been fans who asked for his location as well and of course the company will protect his privacy. However, we really need that information but we must avoid getting attention. While we are discussing, Vine-san who was eating with us raised her voice.

“You really don't need to go there yourselves. If you want, I can have someone ask the needed information?”

“Is that okay?”

Jotaro asked Vine-san worried about something. I don't know what he is worried about but it must be important.

“It should be fine. Us elves in this world are shown great respect due to the actions of the previous hero. If we ask them under the name of Yggdrasil-sama, they will willingly provide the information”

“I see, if that's the case. We will leave it to you”

Jotaro nod to Vine-san and ask this of her. Vine-san who was gracefully eating her meal, smiled and answer full of confidence.

“Leave it to me, it will take few days so please be patient until then”

It looks like we are too powerful for them. I don't know the reason but it feels like everything is on slow motion when we are fighting. Jotaro and Henko said the same thing. Also, even though we don't put all our strength in swinging our weapons, our enemies are blown away in great distance.

Another thing is, they don't know our swordsmanship and techniques. Looks like this is the first time they encountered Aikido, that kind of surprised me since there are a lot of things similar to our previous world so I thought Aikido might be existing somewhere in this world. I was not surprised that they didn't know our swordsmanship since even in Japan, only few people know Nakenjutsu. And, even if they know Nakenjutsu, they don't know the true── No, I shouldn't think about that.

As usual, Jotaro was teaching the ikemen elves some techniques. Yesterday was crazy, he was teaching them grappling techniques like the Manji Hold and they were highly impressed by it. While they are doing that however, Henko had this wry smile on her face while looking at Jotaro who was thoroughly enjoying torturing his enemy. I guess he will teach them another absurd technique, I wish he holds back a little. (AN: Manji Hold is a wrestling move in case you don't know)

After 4 days, Vine-san came to the Mansion.

“We received a reply from the company but…”

“What's the matter?”

I asked Vine-san who was reluctant on saying the contents.

“You see, the company replied but they said, they don't know Lilo-sensei's whereabouts right now. The last time they had in contact with him was 6 months ago. The last time they see him was in the village of Susu. They said that Lilo-sensei was travelling the world so they had no idea where he is until he contacts them”

“I see… should we go and check that village? or should we ask the company to contact us when he contacts them and wait?”

“If you are not in a hurry, we can just wait… I guess? but we can also check that village if you want?”

Jotaro ask on the best course of action and Vine-san suggest what we can do right now. It's true that we can just wait, but its already been 6 months since the last time he contacts them. There is no telling how long we should wait.

“Maybe we should check the village and ask for clues? Where is this village located?”

I provided my own suggestion. We can wait but there is no guarantee with that, we should check the current clue that we have no matter how small it is. We might not find much since its already been 6 months but I think it is better than doing nothing.

“It is a small village to the north west of Basil City, the capital of the kingdom”

“I see, is it possible for us to go there?”

“Yes, of course. We can teleport to a forest near the capital and go to the village from there but…”

“Hm?”

Jotaro tilt his head when Vine-san stop in the middle of her sentence. Vine-san is reluctant again. This girl, why won't she say it as is without worrying. She will still say it in the end anyway so why bother stopping mid sentence?

“…there is no telling when the company will contact us. It is possible that they will contact us after we left and we might miss it. If that happens, there is a chance we will have a hard time on searching for him again”

See… she did continue and finish her sentence. We should ban her on using the word ‘but' so that she can deliver the message in one fell swoop. However, she is right. I think it would be best to have someone stay so we are prepared in case that happens.

“I understand. What do you suggest Vine-san?”

“I suggest for not everyone to accompany me to the village. The contacts that I have will go straight here in the mansion once they receive words from the company so someone should stay here”

Looks like this is my chance. Like the novels, I also want to explore this world. Since we were transported here, all we do is stay in our room, practice and live like normal. There is no sense of ‘other world' at all, except for the people(elves) and magic. I should volunteer on going to the village.

“Alright! I will go with you Vine-san, Henko and Takeo should stay here!”

“Ehh?”

Henko and I was surprised. Well, I am surprised because he just decided like that without asking our opinion, Henko might be thinking the same thing.

“Wai─ Why are we staying? I want to go to the village”

“That's right! This is a rare chance, we should go together”

I raised an objection and Henko wants us to go together, then Jotaro came close and whisper to my ears.

“Are you sure? This is your chance to live with Henko-chan on the same roof. It will be only you… and… her. The two of you. Alone”

“Ah..”

That surprised me.. I did not think of that. This guy.. Jotaro is giving me a chance of a life time. Yoshi! I knew he is unlike those other ikemen, he is kind, he is thoughtful, he is my best friend.

“My best friend Jotaro!! Leave everything to us. We will quietly stay in this Mansion and wait!”

“Eh?! Why? I want to go to that village too”

Henko raised an objection. I desperately try to give an excuse for us to stay here while Jotaro was having a bitter smile on his face.
