After getting back to the second ship of Alice-Type Ground Battleship, Claire, I sat down in the Admiral seat. I feel uncomfortable with this military uniform.  Shuchi-san called out to me with his voice.

“Thanks for the hard work, how was the negotiation?”

“It went all right, our culture is too different so some of the small detail is will be discussed over time but for the time being, I have signed a contact with them. Limited lease for Noah Island and a conditional protection for the sovereign state. There is no problem with this itself so I agree but it turned out to be a terrible thing to do”

“Why?”

“Attendance for the Assembly of Allied Nations”

Shuchi-san raised his eyebrow while asking “What is that?”. Listening to the story from the kingdom side, it seems that this continent is organizing an Allied Forces from 5 country in preparation for the attack of the Demon’s Army. Among the 5 country, it is not an exaggeration to say that the Kingdom of Merkava is the weakest in terms of nationality and is just following the orders of the other 4 countries.

They lower their head to me while saying ‘Please! Please participate in the meeting!’. I cannot refuse because Princess Cassis is pleading while half crying. To be honest, I do not want to go to such a troublesome event. I consult to Shuichi-san “Is there any way to reject them with some kind of reason?” but my beloved husband said something far more troubling.

“If you don’t go, Kouki will say ‘Mother doesn’t keep her promise, I hate you!'”

That really is a problem, I cannot live on if I am hated by that child.

“By the way, I had lunch with Kouki earlier and he said ‘Mom is amazing in doing her work, I will use mom’s name for the third ship and call it Miki'”

I really think that we should participate in the Assembly of Allied Nation! This is for the sake our friendly country. If I think carefully, we will be able to contact other countries so it would be best to meet them at least once. Shuichi-san asked me while I was hanging the balance of Kouki and the troubles in my mind.

“By the way, where is the Assembly of Alliance will happen?”

“It will be in the Kingdom’s Royal Castle. They say that they have a ‘Magic Tool’ in a conference room that can be used to talk to far away people”

“Is it like a video communication device?”

I left Shuchi-san alone after he cannot say anything anymore, I started to think about something else. The first thing that comes to mind is “Robertsan”… After she arrive to Noah, she did nothing but eat but after the previous meeting with the kingdom has ended. She suddenly began speaking in the language which is used by the kingdom fluently.

She said that ‘It is easy if you remember the vocabulary”, but it is impossible for ordinary people to do that. Just like Kouki says, her language acquisition speed is like a monster. I only wish that she refrain from consuming 15 servings of a soldier meal in a single day. The chef aboard Claire are screaming since she is always in the dining room.

The next thing to think about is the “Demon Army”. Why can’t they defeat a single country even though the 5 nations allied themselves. I am starting to think that they really do not want to wage war. I also do not understand why the kingdom have their defensive position hidden by making it look like small villages. I was thinking of such things and the night went on unnoticed.

Two days later, we arrived at the main city after a slow journey at the speed similar to the movement of the kingdom. We were immediately guided into the castle. The inside of the castle was decorated in such a way to an extent that no one can say that it is disgusting, the furniture are also lined up and I calmly like the design.

I was wondering if I will be taken to a salon or something to take a break but I was instantly lead to the conference room. Princess Cassis who is guiding me explain the situation.

“I apologize but everyone in the Allied Nations are already waiting at their own conference room. I know that you must be tired, but please…”

I sit on the chair in the conference room after telling her “I do not mind” while smiling at her. Now then─── In the past two days, Claire-san and the others decided that we should not approach this poorly and must first learn about the situation.

They are members from different country as well so we need to avoid unnecessary conflict as much as possible. While reminding myself of this and waiting for the meeting to start, I saw four men reflected in the mirror though they were somewhat blurred. Apparently, this is the magic tool for conferences so I greeted them with a gentle smile.

“Nice to meet you, I am Noah’s representative, Miki Arakawa”

“Ha, a woman attending an important meeting between nations? What a lowly country”

After listening to the second man from the right who said something sarcastic, I immediately hear the voice of Princess Cassis from the earphone that I am wearing. “He is the representative from the Principality of Ragire”. Next is the man on the far right who cried out while spit flew from his mouth.

“Small country should stand up when you greet us!”

What is exactly their criteria in judging us as a small country? While holding myself from laughing, his face became red and continue to shout. Apparently this man seems to be the representative of “Rikuru Nation”

“Ma~ Ma~ You should understand that preaching manners to barbarian is impossible. Hahaha”

The first man on the left is a shaggy monkey-like human being. It was explained that he is the representative of “Rinkudorubu Empire” which is located in the north. His personal opinion of what kind of people we are is physiologically unacceptable. An old man with white hair looking at the situation without uttering a single word at the end is said to be the representative of “Capus Kingdom”.

All right, let’s change our policy. It is probably a waste of time in seeking advance political conversation like Princess Cassis with these idiots, I will question the four straight ahead.

“I was told that this is an Assembly of Allied Nation, are you also seeking for diplomatic relations with Noah?”

There was silence for a moment but they understand the contents, the scandalous people are screaming while I was worried about the blood vessels of the Representative of Rikuru Nation bursting.

“Don’t be silly! You need our protection against the Demon King! What you are saying is foolish”

“Your protection is not necessary. We already proved that we can easily defeat Class A demons with the technology that we have. We also do not have the intention of fighting the Demon Army, we rather like to negotiate peace”

After I clear up the misunderstanding of Rikuru Nation, the representative of Capus Kingdom which had been silent speaks for the first time.

“All right, I understand the intention of Noah. So you do not mind if we decided that the Kingdom of Merkava, who allied themselves with Noah, to leave the Union?”

I solved the last mystery that I was wondering from the words of the representative from Capus Kingdom. I heard from Kouki that the tribes that made up the Merkava are elves, he explained that the elves are taught to be closer to demons and spirits than to humans.

That is why the kingdom do not have the intention to fight seriously with the demon’s army. They have the same sense of solidarity and is taking a roundabout way of applying “delay tactics” but what is the kingdom going to do? We need to prepare depending on the decision that they will make. While looking at Princess Cassis, she step up dignified in front of the magic tool and declare their policy clearly.

“We, the Holy Kingdom of Merkava, who decided for the first time to establish an ‘equal diplomatic relationship’ with Noah decides to follow them till the end. If Noah decides not to join the Union, the Kingdom declares our withdrawal from the Union”

“The demi-humans dare to betray humans!? You will not get away with this!”

The four countries clamor on the kingdom side who clearly declare their policy but in order to protect the kingdom, our allies, who decided to walk with us, we will need to tell them the future plans of Noah. I made a declaration to the representative of each country after I erase the smile from my face.

“I apologize but Noah refuses to join the Union. Noah and the kingdom already establish a diplomatic relationship with each other, thus if one among you exercise economic sanctions or exercise their military capabilities, Noah will immediately declare war on the four countries in accordance to our ‘Security Treaty’. A full retaliatory attack is will be carried out”

Representatives of each country were angry with my declaration and cut off the magical tool one after another and disappear but the representative of Capus Kingdom remained till the very end and said “Remember this”. While staring at me, the limit of my patience exceed after a long while so I seriously yell for the first time.

“We can always be your opponent. We are Noah! Those who stand against us is will be eliminated!”

It felt so refreshing after saying those words. As I watch the mirror disconnects, I started to plan for the future.

By the way … …. The Gold and Jewelry which was prepared by Noah was desperately smelted from steel scraps and stones from nearby in exchange for non-pesticide tomatoes. Now, they are keeping tomatoes in Noah Island.
