The blue fishman who was aiming for me has changed his target. He turns his body towards Jin. The moment I affirm this, I release <>. As soon as I can afford a break, I start to sort out the state of affairs of our situation. The blue fishman attacked us before we had a chance to set up a battle formation. Moreover, he attacked before Rosalia was able to set up her spell. Because of that, he targeted me who was standing at the most front. Thanks to Jin activating <> and changing his target, I was able to release <> and put myself in a safe condition. If Jin did not give himself away, I would continue to become his target. If I had tried to abandon the blue fishman and release <> in the beginning, he might charge at Neme or Erin instead.

Thank God. If Jin’s decision to distract his attention was delayed by two seconds, I might have died. Since my fall on the ground, I have no confidence that I will be able to continuously avoid his attacks.

Rosalia: “Note-kun! I’m sorry! It was my fault!”

Rosalia activates a spell that targets monsters, <>. Suddenly the red fishman charges toward Rosalia and swings his sword against her. The sound of metals clashing against metals is piercing my ears. It is the sound of red fishman’s sword colliding with Rosalia’s shield. Rosalia slightly moves back from the collision. Her opponent is too strong and she is about to lose.

Force jumps in immediately to support her. In the meantime, Neme starts to cast <> spell so that Force can use his demon sword, Purgatory. As soon as she cast the spell, magical power starts to gather in her staff.

During dungeon exploration, Force always carries 2 swords with him. His main weapon is the demon sword, Purgatory. However, that sword has a drawback. It’s a terrifying bewitching demon sword that burns the body of the person who holds it. The other sword is Kouhaku. Although it is not as strong as Purgatory, it is still considered one of the strongest swords.

To sum it up, Force cannot unleash his 100% fighting power without Neme’s buff spells. Unexpectedly, the moment Neme lifts her staff to cast her spell, the blue fishman turns his attention to her. Jin immediately notices the changes in the blue fishman. He moves faster than the spear that the Blue Fishman launches, grabs Neme, and barely saves her from the spear.

Jin: “Erin, can you please stop casting spells at the moment?!”

Although Erin is bewildered by Jin’s shout, she stops casting the spells and the magic power that is stored in her staff is slowly dissipating.

Jin: “These Fishmen easily change their target! Therefore, Neme and Erin, the two of you shouldn’t incautiously cast any spells!”

After dropping Neme at a safe place, Jin turns toward the blue Fishman again.

As usual, Jin’s battle assessment is prompt and accurate. He is able to give instruction without hesitation. Seeing this side of him, makes me deeply respect him. He had overcome various predicaments in the past and his perseverance in overcoming those predicaments on his own has made him into the person he is now.

Jin: “Force, can you help me here? I want to quickly beat this one up!”

Rosalia “It’s impossible! His hands are tied here!”

The one who replies Jin is Rosalia.

Rosalia and Force currently are fighting against the red fishman. The red fishman seems to be an opponent that is able to fight against 2 opponents at the same time with ease. Both Rosalia and Force are barely able to put up with him.

In this situation, I don’t know how long Rosalia can hold on if Force leaves her to help Jin. To begin with, the red fishman does not have a good affinity with Rosalia’s battle style. He is an opponent that straightly attacks with pure force. On the other hand, Rosalia is the type that fights by casting spells then launching a critical attack with the holy sword. However, Rosalia’s spells are broken by the Red Fishman with a hit one by one. As a result, Rosalia won’t be able to successfully display the full ability of her holy sword.

Force is also looking overwhelmed in protecting Rosalia. If he can use his Purgatory, he might have a chance to breakthrough. However, since Neme cannot cast any of her buff spells now, he can’t use it.

Jin: “Note-kun, I need your help!”

Suddenly Jin calls for me.

Jin: “Can you please replace Force?”

Note: “EH?”

For a second, I thought I hear him wrong. Thus, I spontaneously asked him to repeat what he was saying. But apparently, I didn’t hear him wrong. While Jin avoids another spear attack from the Blue Fishman, he continues to assemble his words.

Jin: “Replace Force, and support Rosalia!”

Note: “Huh…? Support……”

There is no way I can support Rosalia. As a person who does not possess any battle skills, I cannot give any damages to the Fishman.

Note; “It’s impossible! I cannot beat that thing!”

Jin: “You don’t need to beat him. Taking his attention away for some time is enough.”

Note: “Attention?”

Jin: “That’s right. You can use <>, right?”

Note: “yes.”

It’s a battle art that I learn to use during the 20th floor incident.  As what Jin says, I can steal the Fishman’s attention away with this art.
