Fabreidis sighed. "This potion probably won't kill her. I will let Gabriella drink it first, and I can just make another one. Looks like Qian Jin is too young. "Of course." Qian Jin nodded without raising any objections as he said, "I'm working towards it as well."

"Then do you think you are stronger or Sabonis is stronger?" Fabreidis asked seriously as he stared at Qian Jin in the eyes, "In terms of a real unconstrained duel."

Without even thinking, Qian Jin answered, "I can take on two Sabonis at the same time, and there would still be some left over strength."

Qian Jin nodded and agreed. Although he was a level 9 Demon Fighter, he still couldn't go back to Qian Family and rescue his father. Technically, he could, but he couldn't leave with his father proudly from Qian Family where his father was forced and bullied.

"Mayor! I'm only able to leave with dad and have everyone else staring at him in envy if I become a mayor!" Qian Jin shouted in his mind.

"You are a lot stronger than Sabonis, and I'm a lot stronger than you, but I can only be the guardian of the city." Fabreidis said to Qian Jin with a strange smile on his face.

"You are saying that I couldn't become a mayor if I try to apply?" Qian Jin asked.

"Of course." Fabreidis opened his palms and said, "You are qualified to become the mayor of a remote city, but what else do you have except fighting ability? Military Merits? Or did you have an excellent performance and grade at an advanced academy? Or do you have a lot of supporters?"

Fabreidis smiled as he nodded. "A mayor needs to keep the peace of an area. If there is a war, the mayor must know how to command the soldiers to fight a war. How could the Empire send someone to test the candidates on commanding and getting orders when he or she applies for the position, and what scores would qualify? It would be too subjective!
