Chapter 7: An Egg??

If Yu Han could travel back in time, he really wanted to punch himself for being greedy and just return back to where he came from and pretend that nothing happened. But his stupid desires told him to 'borrow' some things from those pirates but what he got was a backlash and got caught by a Spectre.

He bitterly laughed at himself mentally. Not only did he get caught, his level also drop by one level and the good thing was his stats didn't reduce and he is still alive and kickin' right?

Only when he is alive can he make changes in life.

But this is a humiliation!

If he wasn't handicapped he would have rolled over in frustration like a kid but his dignity as an elite soldier made him unable to do it.

*sigh

'Well, whatever... Since you can't cry over a spilled milk, then he might as well think of a way to escape' Yu Han thought and sighed

He glance around and found himself caged with in lightning bars, from what he could tell; the voltage was beyond what a lightning strike in his home planet. Not even humans that developed special abilities can withstand lightning, one of the forces of nature with their bare bodies with no protection needed.

But it seems that the place that he had travelled into can harness it, hmm, the technology here is much more advance than human technology. Which makes him wonder, if their technology is so advanced, then why hadn't they invaded other galaxies yet?

He shook his head and let out a soft sigh. 'Even if their technologies are advance, they're just pirates who rob others for a living, they can't be like the empire; where military discipline is strict beyond recognition'.

BZZZT! BZZZT!

Thud!

A huge thud were heard, the bright lighting from the lightning bars illuminated his surroundings and saw a graceful woman but there seems to be cracks and fragments that seems to came from the woman's skin.

'Wait! Why is she pink?' He thought in confusion. Not only that her skin was light pink, even her hair looks like a crystalized gems that seems to be a ruby. Her humanoid skin with different skin tone from him made him very curious about her and why she was thrown here.

While he wanted to take a closer look but he got electrified again that made him lose the intention to inspect her. And besides, it would be a sign of disrespect to her if he continue to stare at her while she is unconscious.

He decided to stay put after a thought of deliberation. Instead he spent his dawdling and thinking upon for the next plan, being caught was not part of his plan, he could only blame his greed for disrupting his plan.

*Sigh.

It seems that he could only make adjustments...

"Huh... That's quite convenient" Yu Han sarcastically said. He had already learned it when he was adapting and a mining slave that would do manual labor and mining minerals and crystals.

It looks like gaining passive skills like this contains his hard work because he focused comprehending other languages of other races and learned the common tongue.

'This would be better then.' Yu Han thought. It pains him to see that he couldn't talk to anyone when everyone was talking and conversing with each other. This made him feel alienated and was look down by everyone for being unable to speak common tongue and thought that he was mute if he wasn't speaking in a foreign language that no one could understand, then nobody would come and talk to him unless they had to!

But most importantly, he's just a slave used for mining. A lot of his peers or the so-called 'captive' lost their ability to think but of course, there are some who are exceptions; he is just one of them lucky enough to escape addictions. And the one who approached him to escape or to be 'graced' to be one of their cannon fodders is also someone who luckily escaped. They held a tacit-understanding to never expose anyone who were lucky enough to escape.

And what's even worse...

He was a Level 0; something even rarer than finding phoenix feathers!

He was most likely someone who had the lowest level base the dimension had created. Based on the scorn of the guards, even a newborn infant had a starting level of 1 or even 100. He was even worst than a harmless baby!

How shameful!

He didn't know about the history of this dimension where he had ended up with. How would he know that this is just the periphery of the dimensions? How would he know that there are cosmic beasts that eat planets as snacks and some brazen one live on black holes? How would he know that there are many uncharted territories that even Hades Pirates, the one who brought terror to all civilized races was also not daringly offend Cosmic Beasts so easily?

But he did not know all of this...

But he sure us one heck of a lucky one. Just not long after he was unconscious, he was lucky enough to be save by an unknown entity and somehow put him in the middle of nowhere but just lucky enough to be spotted by a slave driver and was taken fancy on his unique features while he was unconscious and had taken him in to Hades Headquarter, even though he is still suffering nevertheless, he's still alive and well!

But why would he care about that?

All he care was how to escape in this forsaken place...

But he did not even know where he is nor what kind of organization that took him. So he could spend his time in captivity and laying lazily away and waiting for a chance to come.

He closed his eyes as he laid back in a very comfortable position. He was not anxious but there is someone who is more anxious than he is. Perhaps, they are moving quickly by now.

"Is everything ready?"

Gary asked his team. They all nodded with utter seriousness. They only had one chance to escape from this hell-like place after all. One mistake and bam! Gone!

"What about that 'unique' race? Heh." Tom sneered. He still hold a grudge for a weakling rejecting their kindness and wanted to acquire news about that weakling.

Gary shook his head and sighed. Tom's Race are called 'Midnight Howler', known for their explosive tempers and their narrow-mindedness and their disdains to those who are weaker than them. Naturally, Tom held contempt about some Level 0 guy who actually dared refuse their kind offer.

"I don't know... Probably dead?" Gary wasn't sure as he didn't hear any news about him, its like he disappeared like a bubble ending its life. So he convince himself that Level 0 guy is dead for sure.

Laki snorted. "Then so be it."

He click his tongue as he also planned to talk the hell out of him, he was in charge of gaining cannon fodders for their plan. So far so good, he manage to fool another 2 and is now waiting for the right time to escape this Hades Pirate HQ.

He knew the infamy of Hades Pirate Group, just mentioning the name could scare children into bursting into tears, even adults and some elderly individuals would tremble in fear. Even as arrogant as him would once thought of killing himself to free himself from all sorts of humiliation. He was desperate, from childhood; his parent would scare him with the name of Hades Pirate Group whenever he disobey them. Thus, he had innate fear towards the Pirate Group.

Not only him was afraid of Hades Pirate Group, but all of them.

Not Yu Han do...

After all, he's a traveller from another dimension. He grew up living in an era where military discipline popularized, there are barely academies that retain the old essence of the ancient era. He had no idea the terror of Hades Pirate Group and this daring individual is now staring at a complete black egg that is almost as the same height as him as he could barely see the roundness and thickness. He could see glorious runes wrapping around the black glowing with mystic light that made the black egg deemed as a mystery.

He gawked at the sight in front of him. His stern, azure eyes flashed with surprise as this is the first he had seen an egg this huge. Even ostriches he kept in his backyard never laid eggs that huge in front of him!

As for where he was??

Escaping the so-called lightning prison was difficult but not impossible. The watchmen rarely visit them as they were too confident in their 'iron-clad' prison that he can go freely without being noticed by those guards.

Its already been months since he was captured and was studying lightnings at the cost of injuries. He was not that idle either, he hoarded a lot of Zheal Crystals and hid it at a very safe place.

He knew the headquarters like the back of his hands, he observe and observe, every routes and routines, the places where powerful pirates resided; he avoided it, he does not want to be caught again. Except for some secret passages that only a few upper echelons knew, there was nothing he could not visit. He also learnt his lesson and did not dare be greedy again less he got caught again.

He only stole a glance at the majestic black egg before collecting Zheal Crystal on the corner of the room which was piled like trashes, if it was before, he would have died in extreme shock and a painful heart; you know what he meant so there was no need for explanation needed.

He took one final glance at the Black Egg once again and saw its Stats, in which his skill Lv2 Analysis managed to see the black egg stats.

His lips curled up before it formed into a straight line. He went back to his prison, beside his 'cage' was an unconscious Bheca Asylum to who knows how many days she stayed in a coma. After hiding away his stash; he checked his skills.
