Chapter 4.1: I Look Like a Pig?

Before Xiao Zheng walked out of the CEO’s office and one viewed by the employees of New Arcana Group as the devil’s nest, there was a crackling sound from behind—it was sharp and ear-piercing and contained Lin Huayin’s uncontrollable rage.

To be able to cause the Empire State Building’s number one beauty to lose her mind of sanity, Xiao Zheng was considered first in history.

“Well, it’s time to get down to business with my new job.” Xiao Zheng closed the door behind him and thought of his new job and the employees in the Security Department who’d soon become his colleagues.

After a few minutes of waiting, the unkempt lawyer came out.

His body was bent down like a eunuch from that of feudal society as he slowly backed out while gingerly closing the door slowly.

Thereafter, he wiped off the sweat from the top of his forehead as if he’d been relieved of a heavy burden.

Lawyer Deng saw Xiao Zheng smoking at the side. He smiled bitterly. “I say, Little Brother Xiao, you’ve made me suffer.”

Xiao Zheng rubbed his nose and chuckled softly. “When I get my first month’s salary, I’ll treat you to good wine. Ah, anyways, Lawyer Deng, can you take me to the Security Department? I can’t wait! I’m quite fired up!”

Lawyer Deng did not know whether to laugh or cry.

He thought to himself, “This brat is truly a weirdo among weirdos, the best of the best.  He offended Boss, a godlike beauty in the Empire State Building. Moreover, he mocked her with a sense of leisureliness to!”

“Sure,” the corners of his lips twitched, “Why not?”

Along the way, Lawyer Deng gave a brief explanation of New Arcana Group’s internal structure: including the range of Xiao Zheng’s work, he also kindly reminded him of a certain issue he needed to pay close attention to while at work.

For example, don’t mess around those of special status in the company and especially towards those of the opposite sex.

Xiao Zheng’s eyes widened as he pointed at himself. “Do I look like a pig?”

Lawyer Deng smiled knowingly. “New Arcana Group has nearly one thousand employees. Aside from the approximate thirty security guards in the Security Department, there are less than twenty male employees. Not to mention the Empire State Building, even the entirety of Pearl City, New Arcana Group is a paradise for many young men.”

“Cough… In terms of women, my standards are a bit harsh…” Xiao Zheng’s lips twitched, feeling powerless.

The lawyer smiled and nodded vigorously. “I can tell.”

“That’s right, there’s one thing that I hope Lawyer Deng will keep secret for me.”

“What is it?”

The lawyer thought the kid to be rather appetizing and amusing.

The kid didn’t even put on haughty airs!

Lawyer Deng thought that if the kid did not fear a woman like Lin Huayin, he might as well act like a good person.

“Lin Huayin is able to get you to participate and bear witness to our marriage contract, so I believe in you, but however, I have to emphasize that you must not reveal my current relationship with her to the public,” Xiao Zheng said seriously. “I’m sure that you can guess that I’m a man of self-integrity and honor.  If my colleagues in the company knew my relationship with her, I wouldn’t be happy even if they obeyed my orders. After all, I’m a man who’d rather rely on his own self to rise up rather than on someone else though I may not look like it.”

“Don’t worry. I won’t say anything even if I’m beaten to death.” The corners of the lawyer’s eyes twitched as he cursed the boy inwardly.

Oh, so you want to act honorably?

Do you know how many men dream of marrying Lin Huayin even it’s just a contract marriage?

They’d feel it a great honor and no doubt a chance to show off!

Of course, even without Xiao Zheng’s reminder, Lawyer Deng would’ve never spoken a word of it to anyone. One must know that before the signed contract agreement came to be, he signed another secret agreement with Lin Huayin of keeping the matters under wraps.

If he dared speak out, then based on the cold beauty’s personality, she’d sue him ‘till he ran out of money and he’s left homeless on the streets.
