The thought passed through her mind, as her eyes widened in dismay . Watching as his throat moved up and down, while swallowing a bite of the pancake .

Fearing that her voice would give an embarrassing croak, Liu Rachael opted to shake her head in refusal, but Duan Chengyu wasn't done yet, she saw as he began slowly, but deliberately licking his fingers, while sending a wink her way .

"What is he doing?! Did he just wink at me?!!!!"

Liu Rachael silently screamed inside of her, not knowing of what to make of her boss's outlandish behavior, her whole face turned a shade of light pink from looking at him . After a while, she had to avert her eyes so as not to end up doing something she would regret .

"Would you be joining me for breakfast?"

"After what you just did?! Are you trying to give me an heart attack?! Is he really serious?!!!!"

With her eyes downcast, instead of voicing out the thought in her head, Liu Rachael chose to say, "I don't eat this early in the morning, I'm sorry I can't join you for breakfast . "

It was a boldfaced lie, but she would rather lie to him than give in to what her body was craving .

"Oh! I didn't know that, when do you usually have breakfast?"

"Can he just leave me alone! I'm trying to save myself! Can't he see that?! Why does he want to know when I eat breakfast! I wish I said I don't eat breakfast, it would have been case closed! Arghhh!!!!"

Liu Rachael had to silently grit her teeth, unable to speak her thought to Duan Chengyu .

"I prefer having brunch, that way I'll save money on buying food once rather than twice . "

She saw as his smile widened when he heard the reason she gave for not eating breakfast early in the morning . This made her heart flutter from their dazzling effect .

"I see, but you don't have to worry about that anymore, because you now have free access to the food in the pantry and kitchen and when it runs out I can always have the driver either send you to the grocery store or have the food delivered to the house . "

Liu Rachael stared at him, "Is he for real?!"

Duan Chengyu reached across to gentle brush her hair to the side, that seemed to pull her out of her temporary stupor . There was hardly any space left between them, as her breast lightly brushed that of his chest, if she thought her cheek was already hot, they became even more inflamed from the closeness .

"I . . I'm . . . Sor . . ry . . . Chair . . . man . . . Duan . . . . I'll . . . have . . . break . . . fast . . . with . . you . . . some other time!"

As soon as she words left her mouth, Liu Rachael fled to her room, forgetting that she hadn't finished serving the remaining breakfast that was on the kitchen counter .
