Marya Zaleska opened her eyes to see a place that looked quite unfamiliar to her, there was neither oil lamps nor the draperies that she was accustomed to, she kept looking around the four corners of the room. Not knowing what to make of the strange things she saw, there was light but it came from the ceiling with no scent of smoke from them.
She could hear voices coming from outside the room where she was, due to her keen sense of hearing.
"Don't you dare breathe a word of what you saw tonight to anyone!"
"Yes, Vice President Ruan!"
"Make sure to bring our guest her dinner and attend to her properly!"
"As you wish, Vice President Ruan!"
"What is my schedule for tomorrow?!"
From the tone of the man's voice, one could tell that he was the type that commanded respect from those around him. The voices that answered belonged to that of a female, which made the woman inside to assume that they were the maids of the man.
"Vice President Ruan, you are to meet with the HongSheng Holdings at 9 am, after that there is a meeting at 1 pm with Finochem Group, meeting with the Board of Directors is at 4 pm and at around 8 pm there is a private party to be held for the Chairman of Ever Pacific Group."
"It seems my schedule for tomorrow is fully packed!"
The man who sounded as though he was the boss, replied dryly to the other that was supposedly his assistant.

There was a plea in the tone of the man, but his boss coldly dismissed him from his presence.
"Vice President Ruan, should we go in to check on your guest?"
"No need! Just bring her food inside! The rest of you are free to leave!"
The man replied tersely to the people that were supposedly his servants, which was what the woman inside the room could draw from the conversation taking place outside her room.
The sound of shoes scraping the floor was followed by the the sound of the door handle being pulled, shortly after the door swung open.
From where she laid on the soft white bed, Marya Zaleska pretended to be asleep, but she could pick up the enticing scent of the human that just came into her room.
"Is she still sleep?!"
The voice sounded disappointed on seeing the figure that was presumably asleep. The woman was covered in a lilac quilted cover all the way to her chest wearing a satin petal pink pajamas underneath. Glossy dark hair spread across the pillow cover. Pretty red lips stood starkly against her pale face.
Eyes closed, Marya Zaleska could sense the emotions that flowed within the room, in form of a variety of colors. She sensed curiosity, desire and deception.
Ruan Yuchen stared at the pretty woman whom he brought back from his boating adventure taking with him a few of his bodyguards. A dive in the water forever changed the course of the young man's life. Till now, he didn't know what possessed him to swim that deep into the dark blue water to pull out an old mold infested coffin with strange inscriptions on them with the help of his men.
The pull to draw closer to the woman whose unnaturally pale face called forth a protective instinct within him.
It took much effort for Ruan Yuchen to fight the urge to touch the sleeping woman. As he turned to leave the room, he suddenly felt the hairs at the back of his neck rise. That was when a soft hauntingly melodious voice that sounded from behind him.
"Are you the one, that woke me up from my sleep?!"
Ruan Yuchen turned to see who spoke to him, the eyes that looked back at him was anything but human, they were the color of blood!
